I found that I am gluten intolerance. When I eat gluten and dairy, I bloat bad. Today was one of those days, lol! My skinny jeans wouldn't sip without a good sucking in!!

I found when I stopped eating wheat, the bloating went away...I guess it wasn't related to the beans at all but the biscuits I was eating with the beans..

I have been taking an acidophilous capsule on an empty stomach every morning. I think that has helped my digestion as well. Papaya has a natural digestive enzyme. I will buy a fresh papaya on occasion and I cut it up into 4 servings. That sets things right as well.

Lastly, chew your food well and avoid liquids during a meal.

I always soak and rinse before slow cooking in the croak pot. I do cook my beans with tons of onion so I am getting a double whammy. I was reading that I should cook my onions in a pan until soft before adding to the beans. I will have to try this.

If you cook beans from scratch, soak them overnight and rinse often before cooking. Also, eat smaller amounts.

I often eat different bean soups for lunch, each serving is a little less than 8 ounces. Now that I'm used to it, no problem. I have 2 low carb tortillas or one ounce of corn chips on the side.

Cooking with ginger might help. Good luck.

I have problems with bloating and gas from beans. I have found it helps if I don't eat the same beans several days in a row. I now make smaller batches of beans and switch between several different kinds. I have not tried Bean-O.

Hm, that is a problem. Maybe you could isolate it to certain foods that cause the problem and eliminate or reduce that item. Green peppers, cauliflower...??

Hi all! I'm new to the team, and to being a vegetarian. My husband and I have been 98% meat-free for a few months now, and we're perfectly happy with our new lifestyle... with just one eeny-weeny problem. I get bloated a LOT. I'm almost always bloated before bed, and still bloated in the morning. It's not as bad during the day (I suppose because I'm moving around more), but sometimes I still get uncomfortable. I've tried Bea-No and Gas-X with no success (not that I want to be taking those all the time anyway!). Will this go away eventually? I'm hoping some of you folks who've been at this a longer might have some suggestions.

People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.
