I knew of the beaver anal gland in ice cream but they use anal stuff to glue the meat together?? That is so gross. Makes me so glad I haven't bought meat. lol I can't even eat turkey bacon anymore since I read how they make that.

It sucks that now a days you can't trust any one not to mess with your food.

They do it to those too. The only way I will eat chicken now is if I buy a while chicken still in tact with its other body parts.
And I will have my son cut it up for me.

I hope you are not talking about the frozen, skinless, boneless chicken breasts I get at Costco?! I stopped buying the unfrozen ones because I just end up freezing them, and unless I cooked the bejeezus out of them, I always got, ahemm, well GI issues.

Ya the anal glue thing grossed me out so much I have not touched any meat that could not possibly be glued. They even do it to those frozen skinless boneless chicken pieces!

The price is higher for ethical, local, humanly treated meat but that's ok I just eat a lot less meat now. It's more of a treat instead of something I have to have with every meal.
It sure does taste better!

Did you check out the thread about beaver anal sack and meat glue? That's enough to put me off meat, at the very least, I am going to get meat from reputable sources and as whole as possible

I can't buy supermarket meat anymore. I only want to buy organic but honestly have you seen those prices! I think I will stick to meatless for now. Every time I see a fast food commercial or commerciasl for Tyson and other things I get nauseus. I keep thinking about that film. But I am glad I saw it. I knew that that stuff was bad but I didn't really get it until I actually saw it.

No I have not seen it. But I have not had any meat now for about 6 months. Before that I would have a steak or chicken once or twice every 6 weeks. But my son works at a culinary school and told me what the meat was comprised of at fast food joints and I now will only eat french fries and milkshakes!

Has anyone seen Food inc? I told my fiance's sister I had a burger one night (I allow myself one cheat day each week and it really works for me) and I told her it kind of made me a little nauseus. She told me to watch food inc and I would never want another fast food burger again. She was right! I saw it and the thought of having a fast food burger makes me seriously nauseus. Bleck. Now for my cheat day I will be having Kashi Pizza instead. Still pretty healthy but to me its a cheat. Has anyone else seen this and been absolutely grossed out by it. I admit there were a couple parts I teard up. :(
