I am still learning what Is hould and shouldn't eat. But, someone brought doughnuts into work twice last week. Somehow I was able to avoid them. But, I don't really eat a lot of sweets. My weaknesses are foods like french fries, and burgers, and burritos(fried no less), and chicken nuggets, and chips and dips, etc....I am a kitchen manager to boot! I was good about bringing my own foods for a while....but since I'm always running late, I tend to forget!

One doughnut every once in a while isn't a terrible thing!

And then you have to put it into perspective that if you weren't being careful you might have eaten so much more! Either on that occasion or throughout the week.

I've lost about 35lbs and gone from slightly over "obese" by BMI to just into "healthy"!

And I can now run for over 5k!

I sooo know how you feel, I dodged the bulletlast night at WM last night there was carrot cake and chocolate cake, and mixed fruit in some syrupy bath. I was not prepared and on edge all night.I did not have any, even brought some home to my son and hubby, still doing ok, then I go into work this morning, and one of the guys brings in a box of hot doughnuts, I did succumb to one and only one. but I feel terrible, will I even be able to do this just thru one week?
I'm home now for one week during spring break. I'm hoping that I wont have those temptations in front of me.....but I will be with my husband I hope he will respect my boundaries.

emoticon for the encouraging words. I definitely feel focused today and I plan to seize the day! Had a nice workout and a satisfying breakfast. I also slept well, so that says a lot.

Have a wonderful day! emoticon

Grrr....I hate those nights! You have to 'get over it' and just move on. If you dwell on it too much, then you'll start thinking, "Well, I've already ruined my day. One more doughnut (or some other unhealthy food) won't hurt me now." Then you could start the downward spiral. Pick yourself up, acknowledge that you went overboard, and just get back on track. Glad to hear you're planning ahead and will purchase healthier snacks the following day! Hang in there. It's not the end of the world (just frustrating as all get out). Praise yourself for recognizing what you did and getting back on track.

Happy Holidays!

emoticon Sad thing is I didn't again with some other junk food. It's that time of the month and my stress levels are really high today. Tomorrow, I'll be better prepared and pack up some healthy snacks.

How are you doing ? What will you be making for dinner tonight? Family and I will have brown rice with olives, sundried tomatoes, spices and swiss chard. My little one will be given some organic chicken, brown rice with minced swiss chard. I grateful for hand blenders. emoticon Have a great evening. emoticon
