I agree, Fantastic brand sloppy joe mix is awesome! It's a pantry staple in my house! Their Taco mix is equally good!

OH MY GOSH!! That fantastic sloppy joe mix was really good!!! It even seemed to make 4 generous servings! It tasted slightly different on the first bite, a bit spicy, but then emoticon really close to the real manwich mix with veggie grounds or ground turkey even. A pantry stocker for sure.

I have not heard of it. I don't buy to many mixes. I might look at Whole Foods to see if they have.
I'm not a big tofu fan either but I like several meat alternatives Morning star, Yves

Thanks!

Have you ever tried the fantastic brand sloppy jo mix??? You add tofu or some other alternative in to the package mix. Curious if that is worth trying.

ok here is the nutritional values from Morningstar's website for this recipe.

Yield 6 servings
Serving size 1 sandwich 1/2 cup sloppy joe 1 bun
calories 275
calories from fat 50
total fat 6g
sat fat 1 g
chol 0mg
sodium 1170 mg
total carbs 42g

Hope this helpsIt is a bit high in sodium but maybe lowering the tomato sauce and ketchup to a salt free one would help. I don't use oil to cook with so I disregard that.
