I'm in my 20s, but there's a guy in his 50s at my box. He's ridiculously strong and all-around amazing. Mad respect!

I'm in my 40s too. Don't necessarily consider that older emoticon

I'd have to say my weight and poor nutrition choices restrict me more than my age. All I have to do to be inspired other than watch those in their 40s and above at my box, is to see what is possible at the Masters level at the CF games. It can be done!

Listen to your body and treat it right. That's what I'm trying to do. I may not be the fastest and strongest at my box, but I can be a lot stronger and faster than the me I am right now.

Keep at it!

If 40s are considered older then I'm in the club.
No matter what age you are listening to your body and giving yourself recovery time is important. The difference is once we are in our 40s our bodies aren't as forgiving when we don't listen to it.

not sure what is considered "older" ... I am 40 does that count emoticon

I think my weight restricts me more than my age right now. At our facility there are many adults in their 50's and 60's who are in incredible shape. Watching the amazing things they can do inspires me to keep on trucking!

Just keep doing what you can. It will get easier and easier and you will get stronger and healthier. Soon enough you may find going 2 days in a row doable

I am curious if there are any others on the team that are older Crossfitters? What are your challenges? For all that goes, what are the challenges any team members of any age have out there?

I am 54, and love doing this, but found out (sometimes the hard way!) that my body sometimes is not in sync with my mindset!

I have two challenges:
1. I can't seem to do the 3 days work/1 day rest. I do Monday, Wednesday and Friday because I found I literally HAVE to have a rest day in between for my body to fully recover.
2. If I don't religiously do stretches each and every night (whether I work out or not), I have trouble with sore/tight muscles/tendons.
