Sorry to hear about that. I know it really frustrating. Just keep hanging in there. Remember watch those Carbs. That is what I have been doing lately. I have eliminated all items that are made from flour out of my diet. I didn't think I could do it at first but it is possible. Now I'm learning to snack on fresh fruit. Not easy but I'm doing it. Protein seems to be the key because I don't have cravings like I use too. I make sure I get at least 70 g. on the tracker.

Rock on with your bad self!!

Sonque,
Well even 1/2 lb a week is at least going in the right direction. I am going the wrong way.

I am back on insulin (after not having any money to buy any for several months) and gained back almost everything I lost. I am so bummed ! ! ! ! !

I'm still around and hanging in there. Hope all is going well with you. Right now weight lose has become real slow like a 1/2 pound per week but I seem to be losing inches! I'll take whatever the great weight loss fairy wants to give me!

Hello! Its been 2 years on this ride. I still check in time ta time. I will try and check in here so that I am accountable to someone. I exercise alot and now am working on the eating thing, either I eat too much or not enough. blah blah blah so now I am trying to balance everything. Progress would be nice but keeping busy is best.

Once a job has just begun, leave it not till it is done, be the matter big or small do it right or don't do it at all. Unknown

Well it looks like Spring may be on it's way. It is still below freezing overnight, but the daytime temps get right up there, and the snow is MELTING! In some areas, you can actually see the ground!

If fact, it is almost too hot to wear my coat on the way home in the afternoons! (but too cold not to wear it in the mornings!) lol

Have a great day everyone.

Thanks Shannon. Appreciate it.

Yes, I do get up and move around but it's not quite the same as being able to lay down with my feet raised above my head -- what I call "draining my feet" .. lol

Very sore tonight. I didn't have any cash to pay for bus fare so I had to walk home. Had to sit down a couple of times to ease my back and hips, but I was home by 6:30 ish. Not to bad. 2 hours minus all the sit downs.... Of course I had to take some pain killers
when I got home, I made sure I took some extra money out so I can ride tomorrow.

Good luck Linda and as a suggestion for sitting at a desk all day try to get up at least once an hour and walk around just a bit or do some simple leg raises or chair marching while sitting in your chair it may help with the circulation so you don't balloon up soo much. Hope everything goes well for you

Hugs
Shannon

Talk about a wild ride. I have been doing very well as far as retaining water until this past weekend. Then my ankles ballooned up and hard to walk. AND it meant I gain a lot of weight on the scale. Now most of it is water so it should come off easily, but....

I am not sure if it has anything to do with working now. I sit at a desk most of the day which means my feet touch the floor and don't get a chance to drain.... While I was off work for the past 5 plus months, I was able to rest most afternoons so I did not have this problem.... UGH!

But on a brighter note, the job is going well and I may be asked to stay on on a part time basis. The boss was asking me this afternoon if I was interested in a permanent job or did I just like to do contract work. He thinks it would be about 80% so maybe 5 1/2 or 6 hours a day but has to wait to see how things go when the current lady is gone and the dust settles as to how much time would be involved. Working full time is very tiring and I find I get run down too easily and sick, so I would be quite happy working just 5 or 6 hours a day. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far. Take care.

I've been on a weight rollercoaster. Two weeks ago I had a 3 lb gain and last Tuesday was a 6 lb. loss. I'm afraid to see what the weigh in on Tuesday is going to be. I can't handle another gain I was in bed for two days after that. Hope everyone is doing great. Keep up the good work together we can do this.

Welcome Darlene. Like you, I was not aware of "Classes" when I first joined spark. New members on the site are supposed to be automatically placed in classes but that does not always happen.

I apologize for not being around much lately. I got a really bad virus and my computer was down for awhile. And when I got it back, I got another one the second I tried to go online. ...

How has everyone been doing?

Our anniversary is this upcoming week. It has taken me 2 years but I finally made the scale move.... I was down to 189.2 lbs on Friday Morning! YEAH! That means I have actually dropped 40 lbs since I started. I am so thrilled!

I will be starting a new job this week. It is only a temp job with full time hours just for a couple of weeks, but could lead into permanent (part time) I am hoping, but in the interim, I will not be around a whole lot while I am working full time.

Hope everyone has a great week. ....

Yeah, I am gaining and loosing the same 2 or 3 lbs each week. Having problems keeping it under control because I am not able to get out much with this cold weather. Mild today but my BIL came to pick me up and I went to sis's place for dinner. Will get much colder overnight and be that way for several days. UGH!

Here's hoping the weather warms up and we both have better luck next week.

Take Care!

How is your weather doing? Warming up any there? Very cold here today and for a few more days.Hope it warms up soon. I am so longing for spring!

And the weight loss... are you still making progress. I am at a bit of a stall right now. Having some problems riight now, with muscle strain. Been so sore I could hardly move. It is slowly healing so hopefully I will be able to get back to exercise soon.

Hav a great week.

Woo Hoo is right! emoticon I am so happy for you. Keep up the great work. I have been getting work outs in Doing atleast 30 mins or more 6 days a week. One day to catch up with my fellow Sparkers! hope the job hunt is going well. I really do know it is hard. We always joked with my oldest son about going to work at the unemployment office. Well 7 months later he got the job there and it has been going well. Does Canada have an unemployment office or how about the temp office that keeps sending you out? Laugh now or think I'm crazy but you never know were you'll find that pot of Gold. Have a great week!

Hi Sonque, glad to hear that you are still getting in your am workouts.

I have not been on site much in the past week or so. Having problems again and have to keep my feet elevated so can't sit at the computer much. Just a few minutes at a time.

Hope all is well with everyone.

My weigh in at the beginning of the week was 190.2 which is the lowest I have been in YEARS! emoticon

Hi, TESHIE4ME, Welcome to the team. So glad you found us.

Normal, what's normal? I don't think I was "normal" even in High School, and I have been inching upwards since then. Two years ago, I decided enough was enough. But I am a slow looser and a slow learner, so I am nowhere near my goal weight either.

But together, we can do this. We can support each other, offer encouragement and cheer each other on.

Here! I'm new to this team but joined Spark on 3/25/2009 and am still going strong. I haven't reached my goal yet but I know that I can. I am so excited to be part of this team. My goal is to reach a BMI of "normal" which, for me, is between 94 and 111 pounds (I am 4'9"). I love Spark People!

Well today was the last day of that temp job, but GOOD NEWS! They have me lined up for another temp job starting tomorrow. The lady at the agency said there could be a possibility of it being extended but I won't count on that just yet.

When I had the supervisor sign my time sheet today, she said if they needed someone again, that she would ask for me. So that in itself is a great recommendation.

I have been super tired this week, trouble sleeping but in that regard, nothing new.... Everyone wants me to take some sleeping pills or something, but I don't want to do that. I would have to take the pills around 6 pm in order to get to sleep by 9 or 10 (it takes a long time for them to kick in) because I would have to have them out of my system by 5 am. As I don't get home until 6after 5 right now (and it will be after 6 when I start the new job tomorrow) it does not leave me much time to make and eat dinner, much less do any chores around the apartment. And if I try to stay up to do chores even after taking the sleeping pill, I cannot get to sleep at all.... So not a position i want to put myself in..

Hope everyone had a great New Years Day. Did anyone make any NY Resol8utions? I never bother with them. I just make goals to work on at any time of the year that I see a need to address them...

Talk to you later....

Well it looks like you have your weight tracker showing. 11 pounds to start is not too shabby. Congratulations!

I also don't like to exercise just before bed, it is hard enough to get to sleep never mind having a heart pounding workout to keep me awake even longer! So I try to do mine just after I get home from work around 6ish or so. Then I still have a couple of hours before I hit the sack.

What time do you get up in the morning? Do you have time to slip in your exercise when you get up?

Another thought is to perhaps go for a walk during your lunch break. Of course you do not want to get all sweaty, but a walk at a good clip would be invigorating. Or try to mix your day up by doing some in the morning, and some later in the day.

Due to medical issues, I got away from exercise over the summer and it has been very hard to get back into it. I like the treadmill because I can hold on and keeps me from falling so much. But my treadmill got moved and is still folded up and right now the LR is in a state of flux so no place to set it back down. Finally, I just bought a Leslie Sansone DVD Walk Away the Pounds today, and plan on trying that. I got two copies and gave one to my sister. We are hoping to work out "together" and report to each other. That should supply some motivation for me, as I sure don't want her phoning to ask why I didn't work out that day! lol

Do you have someone close by, a friend of family member that you can "partner" with - be support for each other? It does not have to be in person, can be a Spark Buddy, Facebook Friend, via email or by telephone - the method of communication would be up to you.

Of course, we would be more than happy to have you check in here every day. We would love to include you in our conversations!

Hope to see more of you here.

Hi all! Happy New Year! emoticon emoticon I am back after many many months off of here. I have a few questions. One I want to add the weight line at the bottom of my posts, how do I do that? And, does any one have any tips for motivation? I get off late at night after working a 10 hour day, and when I get home I just want to shower and go to sleep.

We don't do Boxing Day sales on Sunday, but sis wants to check out some kitchen chairs that are on sale..... So she will be going today to see if they have any left.

I saw a motion couch advertised that I really liked, but it is not on the table this year.... still looking for a full time job.....

I get Monday and Tuesday off because the office I am at is closed in lieu of Christmas and Boxing Day being on the weekend. (same with next Monday in lieu of New Years day) Shame, I would have like to have been able to work it!.

I did not even try to stay on plan. I only had one servicing, but did have mashed potatoes and dressing and gravy. Oh yeah, and a bit of dessert. Was a great dinner. My sis is a good cook. I contribute the cesear salad, and some carrots au gratin which I love but only had a small amount.

Hope you had a great Christmas and Santa was good to you and yours.

Just a quick note before running out the door. Hope you are all ready for the big day. Still cold, but I have been told that it will warm up by tomorrow (now where have I heard that before?)

I will be quite busy tomorrow get home from work and have to be all ready for when my BIL comes to pick me up as I am going to my Sis's and won't be home until sometime Sunday afternoon.

So I will wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS now and will talk to you next week. Hope you have a great day!

Still cold here but it is warming up a bit. Will be quite tolerable on Christmas Day.

I found out that the office where I am temping at, will be closing on Friday at 2pm, will we closed on Monday 27 and Tues 28th (as the stat holidays are on the weekend, Closing again at 2pm on 31st and I will not be going in on Monday 3rd (although a few of the regulars will be there.) Normally I would love to get that much time off over christmas, but circumstances being what they are, I don't stat pay. Ah well, I will be at my sisters from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, so the Monday and Tuesday will give me some more time to try to work on my organizational endevors around the apartment, lol. Now that's a laugh!

I can't do much at a time, but if I can just get a little done each day, it will eventually get there....

I went to the grocery store tonight to pick up some stuff for a couple of Christmas logs. I forgot to get the stuff for Naniamo Bars though - but then I lost my recipe so now have to go looking for it. My sister is having a couple of young missiionairies (from our church) over for Christmas dinner and I said I would make them a little something that they could take with them.... I don't often make these anymore as they are quite rich, but as a treat for someone else who is far away from their home, I thought it would be a nice treat....

So I better get looking. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Have a great day.

Hey there, hope you had a great day today. I was so sleepy, I could hardly keep my eyes open, but I managed to finish out the day. Got home and did some rearranging so I wouldn't go to sleep too early, but eventually dropped. Just woke up a few minutes ago so thought I would check in before trying to go back to sleep.

Yes, accidents still happen, people still get sick, no respector of days.... Hope your day will be quiet and wish you all the best.

I am so busy right now but will try to check in tomorrow.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

P.S. I found that pound you lost. I guess you gave it my address.... lol -- and it came straight to me!

Well weighed myself I lost that pound I gained last week. So Im back on goal for losing 1pound per week. slow and steady wins the race.
We are in a very rural area and we don't have buses like you guys have. But that had to have really sucked specially being its cold out.
Hubby is doing fine a little grouchy but that is to be expected.
I snuck out Sunday and finished the Christmas shopping! I work Christmas but when I come home Christmas eve we open our gifts. I'll just miss the meal. My mother will make me a plate to go. That is the only downer about being a nurse. People don't quit being sick for the holiday.
I am off for New Years day but I work the EVE. so no parties for me. I guess don't complain that means no extra temptations.

Well I got my home computer working again, thank goodness. Work one, well they freed up the CP I was working on, but for some reason did not free up the batch. Had to call again this morning again, but by the end of the day it was still locked.

Well yesterday I went a different way home, walked up to 118 ave to catch a bus. The bus came earlier - at 4:25 but it is a much longer ride. Tonight I went back down to 114th and the bus was even later today....didn't show up until 5:01 and there is no place to sit.... My back was so sore from standing, and it's right on the street so no where to get away from traffic. I guess I would get home about the same whichever way I go, but I think I would prefer to sit on the bus out of wind and cold rather than stand on the side of the street, lol

I hope your husband is ok and recovering. One day of McD's shouldn't upset the apple cart too much. Back on track and the body will forgive.

Speaking of which, I was so tired when I got home tonight that I sat down for a few minutes and fell asleep. Here it is after midnight and I am starving. So guess I better scrounge something up... without going overboard (not an easy fête when I'm this hungry....)

Are you all ready for Christmas? I'm lucky, not much left for me to do. My nephew and his wife will be going out of town to her mom's place. They were going to go over to sis's Christmas Eve and then get up really early to drive 5 hours so sis said no, go during the daylight on Friday and spend all day with her folks. I suggested to sis that they should spend all christmas with one parent and New Years with the other, then the next year switch. So I think that is what they are going to do.

They will be spending New Years Eve here and I think sis is going to have a cheese chocolate fondues. Oh boy, just the temptations I need, right?

My pants were falling down today (have a zipper but no elastic - now I know why I always buy elastic waistbands, lol) so hoping I have a good weigh in on Sunday.

Have a great day tomorrow.

Wow sounds like stress city to me. Remember deep breath and it does get better as the days go by the first few are always rough. I just figured you were busy with work.
I got swamped today matter of fact. Hubby had minor surgery but it tied us up all day (NO good food) Only choice was McDonald's. Ended up surviving on a Sm. fry and a hot cocoa Not good nutrition I'm sure.
Well the snow has stopped but we now have this bitter cold to deal with. Guess I'm just going to have to motivate myself into doing indoor exercise.

So very sorry, I was not deliberately ignoring you. My computer stopped working and at first I thought it was the monitor, but this morning I realized that it had frozen - I could not ever turn it off!. So tonight when I got home from work, I unplugged it, left it unplugged for a while. It is now working again. Don't know what the cause was.

I started my temp job yesterday. It is quite interesting. I never heard anything back from the other job that I interviewed for....)
But again had problems with the computer at work. I am using someone else's computer and they did not tell me that her password started with a capitol letter, with all the other letters in lower case. So I was locked out out the system. Then because I was locked out of the network, it froze the batch I was working on. I had to phone the help desk and ask them to free it up, but it has still not been done by the end of the day. So I may have to call again tomorrow so they can finalize that batch and include in the cheque run on Monday.

It was so cold yesterday. The wind just cut through you, and the snow blowing into the face felt like being pelted by nails! I never thought of wearing long johns yesterday, but made sure I wore them today, only there was no wind and I was over dressed!

Did you get that snow fall and ice storm the other day? Hope all is ok.

Well it is getting late and I want to try to get a good sleep tonight, so I will close for now.

Hope you have a great day tomorrow.....

I went up to my sisters this aft. I wanted us to go to Fabricland to buy some fabric to make matching aprons for Christmas, but she decided that she couldn't get them made in time anyway, so no point in going looking for fabric. If I had not lost my job, we might have been able to go earlier in the fall. As it is, we will have to wait until next fall.

We made it to a grocery store and I got my turkey for .69/lb which is an excellent price as far as our prices go.... I plan on cooking it this week, then cut the meat off the bones, get some in the freezer for quick meals, and boil the **** out of the bones for soup. Actually I heard that you can bake the bones until they are a nice brown colour and it helps deepen the flavour....

Also got some fresh veggies, and a couple of boxes of mandarin oranges. So I am good to go for fresh for a couple of weeks, Yeah....

Tummy is feeling much better tonight. Hope it stays that way.

Well, off th get some laundry done. Hope you have a great weekend!

Try drink plain water, I know it sucks but it helps me when I have reflux going on. Don't know if you can buy Zantac over the counter up there but we can and it really helps. I take it nightly. do to stress my stomach usually kills me.

I can never wear tight jeans. I am such an odd shape, about 3 different sizes. So I buy for my largest size then have lots of room in the legs to wear long johns.

Up 1 pound is so much better than than my up 3. I will have to be extra vigilant this week to try to get back down again.

Yesterday and today have a lot of acid reflux. I need some milk to try calm it down, but milk is not so great for my eating plan. But I guess I will have to bite the bullet, I can't stand this burning feeling anymore.

I am just about to head out the door, have a few errands to run today, hen up to sis's so she can take me grocery shopping. Store up near her place has some good sales, and I can't carry it all home on the buss, so BIL drives me home.

So I'm off, hope you have a good day! Stay warm!

I gained 1 this week but I'm still on goal because I want to lose a pound per week. Slow and steady wins the race I figure. Here's to eating healthy and weight loss this week coming!
Just got done shoveling again.By the time I was done I could of shoveled again. Coming down fast but it is real light and the wind makes it so cold.
It's time for lunch and so I guess I figure out something but it has to be warm my legs are freezing. I could never get long johns under my jeans they are to tight!

I did not do well with my weigh in today, I am up 3 pounds. How did you do?

Hope you survive the snow and ice.... and glad you are not too sore from your yoga.

It has been very cold here today, a windchill of minus 22 or something plus it has been snowing all day, not a lot, but still snowing.

It is supposed to warm up to about zero tomorrow, which is good because I have some errands to run to get ready for my first day of my temp job. But is supposed to get cold again and be around minus 16 on Wednesday. I guess I will have to break out the long johns, lol

The forecast for the weekend is snow, lots and lots of snow. Hope they are wrong.

Hope you are having a safe and warm weekend. Take care!

Boy this not working can sure mess up the days, I don't know if its Wednesday or Saturday... lol

I was going to go up to my sisters today, got my boots on, then sat down for a second and fell alseep. Woke up quite groggy so I never did gt up there. Thought it would be too late by the time I got up there, then my BIL drive me home he would be getting home too late as well. He has not been feeling well so needs his rest.

Instead, I went to a store for a few things. Had to wait quite a while for the bus on the way back, no shelter, out in the wind and cold. Oooh, I thought I was gonna die!

How was the ice storm your way? Hope it wasn't too bad. Hope you weren't in too much pain from yoga and could shovel ok.

Well it has just turned midnight so I am off to bed. Have a great day Sunday.

Well fingers are crossed again(hard to type) and best wishes sent your way. Hope Monday brings great news.
had an excellent work out at Yoga class. Actually broke a sweat and its not hot yoga. Boy are my legs gonna be sore tonite.
Tomorrow suppose to be a big storm coming in. Lots of ice then snow. Snow I can handle the ice is vicious.
Sometimes I too wish I lived in an apartment just because of the shoveling and grass cutting. I like the freedom though of having my own home. Though as I always say miss paying your taxes once and see who really owns your home.
Well, keep warm and have a great day!

Rock on with your bad self!!

I also got an email the other day and had an interview yesterday for a full time permanent job. they said they would make a decision either today or Monday. Well I didn't hear from them today, so waiting for Monday....

The temp job description said there was a possibility (no guarantee, of course) of it turning full time. I am still going to start it on 15th, because my agreement with the temp agency is to give them 2 weeks notice - and where would I be if I said no to this sure thing for 3 weeks and then not getting this other position. But I won't know if the temp will turn to perm until after Christmas.

Things are still up in arms but at least some activity...

Sorry about the snow shoveling. I have often wished I lived in a house - until winter snow comes knocking and then I am GLAD I live in an apartment! lol Let the manager take care of that, it's what he gets paid for....

I slept in today, then watched a very sad TV movie called November Christmas. Tears running down my face, but it actually had a good ending, not sad like I was expecting.

I got my first unemployment insurance cheque yesterday. Yippee. I get to do some grocery shopping!

And right now, I guess I better go get some supper, such as it will be.

Hope you have a great evening....
Linda

I got a phone call today, and I start the job next Wednesday (15th). It is short term, only 3 weeks, but it should be enough to pay the rent for January!

Good for you, getting the exercise in.

I have never learned macramé, but I had a niece who did marvelous work.

Perganamo is a craft that uses parchment paper, not the same parchment as used in cooking, it is a heavier paper. You make impressions on the paper, then you can just colour the outline, or colour it in (sort of like painting). You use special inks and dyes. It makes some very lovely cards.

I "gave" all my craft stuff away in a yard sale before I moved. Sometimes I wish I had kept some of it, but considering my lousy eyesight, I wouldn't be able to use it anyway....lol I just have knitting stuff left.

Forecast calling for snow for the rest of the week. You never know if you can believe the forecasters as they change their story every 5 minutes. The only reason I like snow is that the weather warms up... But it makes walking outside very difficult. There is a bylaw here where sidewalks must be cleared within 24 hours of the snow stopping, but ... when it snows a bit each day, it means they almost never have to shovel. And when they do, so many of them don't get the compact snow off the sidewalk, and they shovel it to the curb instead of towards their lawns. It makes it so difficult to get on and off the buses when there is a big bank of snow blocking the door. Last week, I saw one but that could not open the doors the bank was so high! I don't know why they even have bylaws if they don't enforce them!

Off to do some chores. Hope you are having a great day!

emoticon on the job hope you get it. Jobs are sparus here in the US so any is a good one. My son was out of work for 18mths. he just got hired 2mths ago with the unemployment office. So fingers are crossed and best wishes are sent.
Yeah I to have thought of joining a gym or YWCA were they would have a pool but the monthly cost keeps me right at home.
I'm not the greatest knitter in the world. I can do dish clothes, scarves, and socks. I do like making socks the best. I crochet better than I knit. I'm not good at sewing and cross stitch and needle point drives me bonkers. What is perganoma? When I was kid I did some ceramics and I learned to macroma and loved it but haven't done it in years
Bowled this morning but the scores were lousy but it still counts as exercise so I'm taking it.
Good luck and stay warm!

Rock on with your bad self!!

I had a phone call from the temp agency that I am registered with. They actually might have a job for me. "Might" being the operative word. Hopefully I will know by later today or tomorrow. If so, it will be approx a 3 week assignment so that would at least pay the rent for January. And it would start next week. So keep your fingers crossed for me....

Swimming, what's that? It has been decades (around med '80's since I did any of that. I thought of taking aquasize at one point, but way too expensive so didn't follow through.

My sister is almost going through the empty next syndrome thing. Her youngest son left on Nov 17 and will be gone for 2 years. Her second daughter is still home, going to school, but she has been out on her own, then moved back but still is very much living her own life so while she is there, she is not if you know what I mean.

I don't have any kids so I have a permanent "empty nest" lol

Another knitter. Are you very advanced? What do you like to knit?

I knit but can't do a whole lot because of joint problems, I can't hold the needles for very long at a time. I have made a few things, but not much. I actually did much more crochet, but can't even attempt it anymore - too painful. Used to make some really great doileys, table cloths/runners, shawls, etc - some at advanced levels. I have learned how to tat (but forgot everything I knew,) sewing, embroidery, cross stitch, needle point, ceramics, card making, perganamo, and all kinds of other things. I used to love to craft.

Well off to get some housework done. Hope you have a great day!

I have more shopping to do. Hopefully I'll be done next week. Hoping during the week they will be less crowded. Weekends are horrifying.
I have 2 sons one is out on his own and the other is in college. I'm sort of going through empty nest syndrome. My husband loves motorcycles, hunting and fishing. I go out on the bike and I go along fishing. I usual knit or read while we are out. I do love going out by the water. I haven't swam in years now. Hate for anyone to have to look at this body in a bathing suit.
we use to snow tube and of course shoveling has become our main fun lately.
Have fun and keep warm.

It is getting so close to Christmas that most of the malls are packed now. Thank goodness I have finished all my shopping, such as it was this year.

I used to enjoy Christmas shopping but that was in my yournger years when I could handle being out for hours at a time.

What kinds of things does your husband the kids like to do? How many kids do you have? (or have I already asked that?) It is usually easier in the summer for family activities - biking, hiking, geo- caching, swimming (I used to love fishing where I rowed the boat and my ex did the fishing.

Unless everyone likes to ski, sleigh, or skate, ski-do (do they do that in your neck of the woods?) I guess it's a lot harder to find mutual activities. Good luck finding something you like to do. I'm sure you will come up with something.

Talk to you tomorrow....

we do 10 pin but once a month the Wednesday league does 9 pin no tap. Which is fun. My husband doesn't bowl because he says it hurts his back to much. So, I have to go it alone. Even my children don't care for it. I do like it. Believe me my team loves me because of the handi cap. I keep thinking about quitting and maybe doing something that the hubby or kids would do.
Went shopping instead. My goodness was the mall packed today. Now off to wrap the Christmas gifts I think hot tea would go wonderful. Went to Panera bread today OMG their Tomato soup is awesome.

This is so emoticon emoticon

I just weighed and I am down again. My problem is that I retain so much water, I never really know if it is fat loss or water loss. I go up and down the same 5 pounds over and over. The other day I was up to 196.8, today I am 191.4 which is the lowest I have been in a long long long time. So may be there is some fat loss along with the water loss this week.

Sounds like you had quite a night bowling. I used to love to bowl until my back got too bad. I was never very good at it though. I couldn't find anyone to bowl with except this one team one year they were all really good bowlers and said they liked having me on the team because I helped with their handicap. But one couple broke up and he was in no state to bowl the next season,so the other couple quit as well. That was over 20 years ago and I have not bowled since.

Have you ever bowled a perfect game? I got 3 strikes in a row once, but often had pins left standing at the end of my frame. Do you do 5 or 10 pin? I have never done 10 pin, only 5 pin.

Take it easy with the shoveling. It's great exercise, but also great stress. Enjoy a nice cup of warm tea or cocoa when you finish?

Have a great day.

My sister and BIL and niece came to get me this afternoon, We went to a church out in a burb, that was having tons of nativity displays. It was georgeous! Nativity sets from all around the world, Mexido, peru, ukrane, etc. There was painted ceramic, in every kind of finish you could imagine, carbed ones out of soapstone, ebony, etched glass, crystals, and so forth.

It was very cold this morning, but warmed up by the time they came to get me. But it has cooled off again now, down to a balmy -16c When it gets this cold, it feels like to cold is seeping right through the walls.

I think I gained a bit this past week. Will see tomorrow.... It's kind of hard to eat correctly when I can't afford the groceries. But I guess I have to cut back on the potatoes. (They were given to me so I have been enjoying them - maybe a bit too much so)

Hope you have a great evening.

I didn't win a turkey to eat I just got 3 strikes in a row and ate the end of the season for the league you get a prize. Don't worry I didn't know any of this when I first started so it must be a well kept secret.
I have a few times this month when I expected to eat out or go to parties. I want to avoid them because of the dieting but yet I want to still live and have fun. I guess I just need to face my eating demons. I need to look around on the site and see how they say to handle eating out.
Yesterday was a bad computer day I had a terrible time just logging in to track. Well take care and try hot tea. I drink that when Im achey oh I drink that all the time really.LOL! emoticon

Congrats for winning the turkey. I look forward to seeing the pics of the tree.

For some reason I cannot connect withHotmail. I was on earlier, had over 40 message but just couldn't get to them all, Too tired. Then I went back for the next message to answer, and I couldn't connect. I keep getting an error message that they are doing maintenance. So finally decided to just come strait to spark and try to visits the thread so see what is going on.

I have been out walking most of tis week, but yesterday my sister called and asked if I wanted to go to Swiss Chalet with them, Couldn't walk and still get up to her place. Had a really nice dinner, I had quarter chicken and 1/3 rack of ribs. So delish. no dessert.

I am not feeling so great today, lots of aches and pains so taking it easy today. Having trouble on the computer so thinkI will just go lay down for awhile.

Talk to you tomorrow.
