Still here, still tracking, though not every single day anymore. Just spot checks and adjustments to stay on track. The first year on Spark was the most important one. That's when I learned all about portion control, calorie contents of the things I like to eat, etc. Now I have a general idea of what keeps me in my calorie range. More and more people in my social circles have become Spark People and there is a lot of motivation going around. I am grateful to all SparkPeople and glad to see lots are still around 4 years later! emoticon emoticon

well i have been here on and off due to trying to deal with to much at one time so yes i am still around i join groups but dont really write any post but do read and try to keep up. Now that it a new year going to try to lose another 30 pounds for the next four month so every four will be my goal.

It never pays to pretend to be something you are not,it better to accept the person you are inside, and enjoy your life for all it gives you.

As the recently new acting team leader - I would like to issue my first official challenge to ALL of you. . . . Post a Personal Update in the Introduce Yourself to the Team Forum, Be sure to join it as team, I'm shooting for 85, let's reignite in November and come together as a group and be honest - a really good exercise for putting yourself in prospective and gearing up for New's Year's resolution.

I joined but didn't do anything with it. I lost the weight I wanted to through exercise and diet (portion control, I never ate much bad stuff). I found my old Spark link in favorites this morning and I've been here all day. There's so much here!

I have been on and off since 2009 but have really been active on Spark for the past year. I have joined two Biggest Loser Challenges over the last few months. It's good to have to weigh in each week; however, I don't seem to lose any weight. I know it's because I eat more than I exercise.
(I love chocolate!) I have been more consistent in going to the gym also over the last year; joined zumba, cardio kickboxing, and have tried yoga. I quit smoking about 3 years ago and gained over 25 pounds. I have lost 15 of those pounds over the last year and am struggling with the other ten pounds. My biggest hurdle is trying to stay motivated with exercise and eating right. I am also getting xbox with konnect this week which will hopefully motivate me as well! My goal this week is to get back in strength training.

Half the battle is to stop gaining, if I were to count the individual pounds I've put on and lost to only put on again....it's very fustrating at times...So emoticon

I have only lost 5 lbs. Which I know is not much, but I have medical setbacks too.

I like to look at it this way, I have STOPPED GAINING!!! emoticon

Hi y'all. I know that few have checked in here as the years have seem to fly by... it's almost 2012, so I may just be keeping my typing skills refined, but here's an update on me, when I joined Sparks, I was battling with over eating problems, I was a freshmen in college with a 1 year old being diagnosed with a genetic disorder. emoticon Needless to say I was a hot mess but I carried on, day in and out doing what had to be done, reading sparks emails but not really visiting the site. I worked and studied, just trying to remember to breath, and finally last year I was able to stop working, to stay home with my now two kids, 6 & 3, the hardest thing I've ever done but the easiest choice I've ever made. I'm currently waiting on my degree to come in the mail, finals was last week, and I have graduated with honors - I expected nothing else after all the hours I poured into it. I'm still waiting to exhale....so now there is this vast ... I don't even know what to call it but IT IS VAST! With all of the worldwide web, I have ended up roaming the options in Sparks and racking up some SparkPoints emoticon and sharing the wealth of knowledge, something I deeply crave. Along with that I need strictly platonic and encouraging support, something everyone could really use a little more of right emoticon

So since I believe in complete honesty, I submitted a request to be co captain or whatever the notice was that I came over, I implore anyone and everyone to join me emoticon

I have never quit Spark. I know that I haven't lost lots of weight and reached my goal, but I have done lots of healing here for depression and such. I learned or realized while here that I had friends that brought me down and sabotaged my life style and made me feel little or dumb or plain old worthless.

Sparkpeople is great. I have started to finally wrap my head around things with the support that I have received. I am finally going for it.

Hey, everyone, just sent the team an e-mail--I'm the new leader at least for now--and am just curious to see who's still here and how everyone's doing.

I have stayed consistent with SP from the beginning. I've had some stretches where it was hard to log in and do my thing for a few days or whatever, but again, I've been making progress throughout the last two years. I did plateau with my weight loss for sometime but have started losing again recently and hope to hit 200 or below by May or June.

How are you doing almost two years after we started?

Glad to know that you have the initiative!

I have been here since the start of this team and have been checking in here off and on during all of that time.

I haven't met my goal. Haven't even got close, but I am proud to say that I have stopped gaining weight. My biggest hurdle it exercise. I just can't seem to get the umph to do that. I must be really lazy. I know that I am a procrastinator.

Glad to know that there are a few of us left.

I got it! Received an e-mail today telling me that I was made a co-leader. Not really sure all the responsibility that comes with this, but I have the day off so I'm going to do some reading and find out how I can be the best I can! emoticon

I'm around as well, I remember when I first entered the page I had lost about 30 lbs and then I sort of plateaued, I did not lose more or gained more either, its like a give and take... there would be weeks throughout the year that I did good and others not so much. But now I am back on track and ready to use this page again, this time I am serious about it. :D please I would appreciate any support, I only have fifteen pounds to lose but some experts say that its harder to lose 10 to 20 pound :S add me as your friend if possible :)

I'm still here. I've been here off and on over the last year, but I'm making a new committment to really do it this time! I thought I was ready last time, but I fizzled out. Now I have the support of my boyfriend and we're resolved to do this together. In the last year I have learned to make better choices and I've joined a gym, so I'm taking the right steps -- now I've just got to stick to it! On Friday it will have been 2 weeks since I made my lifestyle change recommittment -- here's hoping it lasts for many more!

Well its been over a year, and i should have been at my goal a long time ago.. but i got off track, and now am getting back on track - i found something i needed to share with everyone! Leslie Sansones walking at home dvds are amazing. I just started 2 days ago and im already addicted. I wanted to shout that out to anyone that joine when I did if you are struggling like me, this might be something that will kick you into gear..
