Just about 1/2 way to my goal of 10 pounds by May. Taking it slow and easy since it's a 15 week Biggest Lose program at work. My daughter lost NOTHING at Slimgenics, so we're done with that. On the bright side, we're talking more now, and she's trying Sparkteens and letting my husband and me talk with her about eating healthy and exercising.
Rachel, I don't have a FitBit, but I have the BodyMedia device that also connects with Sparkpeople. I found out about it at the Zumba convention this past summer, and one of my first questions was if it synched with SP because I didn't want to log my food twice. They FINALLY got that up and running in the last month or so. I like it, although I think FitBit MAY have a heart rate feature. BodyMedia/BodyFit can work with another device that does the heart rate, and it doesn't have a report screen on the device you wear. You either have to get a 2nd watch-type thing or you can view your results on the computer. I think there might also be a real-time smartphone app.

Well, I put most of my spark time on a couple of teams that I lead and want to tell you all that you're out of sight but not out of mind.
You know, since it's fast approaching our sparkeversary, I have been thinking a lot about it....Still here four years later....Does that signify that I've been floundering? or does it confirm the belief that it is a journey of a LIFETIME....heck, at four years we're just in pre-school and have so much yet to learn!
I still would like to lose about 10 pounds. Even more important I want to get back to running since I got sidelined a bit with plantar fascitis and tight IT bands....so my winter goals are based on becoming stronger...ST and more flexible....yoga and stretching....more consistant...actually scheduling those workouts and I am measuring and weighing everything as my wt loss stalling is mostly I think a perception problem.
Thats enough to keep me busy for a while!

OK, my goal is to re-lose 8-10 pounds and keep it off this time. I'll decide if it's 8 or10 tomorrow when I get a chance to check the scale...I haven't done that for awhile.
The second part of my goals is to help my daughter with her weight loss. She decided she wanted to use SlimGenics to help her. She's been going for 4 months and has only lost 1 pound. We just found out today we didn't know an important piece of the "plan." I'm hoping now that we know what the problem is, she'll be able lose the weight. On the plus side, today we had an AWESOME heart to heart. (An all-too-rare occurance.)

Yes, me too....getting back on track isn't easy. I start back then get distracted by everything else. I am making this a priority once again...focusing on my health & fitness and making changes to be a part of my life always not just until I get to my goal weight. Here's to us!
