The End of Overeating is a great book. Very insightful!

There are two options regarding committment - your either IN or your OUT. There is no such thing as life in-between.

A person who wants something will find a way..
A person who doesn't will find an excuse...

I also feel even more grateful for Spark People. This site is creating a culture of health and support that gives me an alternative to the mass marketing machine of the food industry. I log in every day I can and fill myself with new information and inspiration to live the life I choose. I do not have to be a victim of desires that are at least in part created by marketing and ingredient combination (fat, sugar, & salt) to increase my food consumption and spending practices. Life is Good!!!

The worst is that the food industry knows that, and use it against us.

Yet, there is hope. I like what he said about vegetarians. We have decided not to eat meat/fish again because of XY reasons, so we are capable of changing our minds and of deciding not to eat our trigger unhealhty (fat+sugar+sodium) food.

Thank you Valerie!!!
Very stimulating and illuminating!!!
I am going to buy the book and send this link to my friends. It is essential that we all learn to understand our eating habits and the factors that unconsciously drive us to behaviors that are detrimental to our healthy goals. :) Janet

One of my Sparkfriends (VALERIEMAHA) has mailed me this link to a speech Dr David Kessler did.

As it is one of the most interesting stuff I've watched on this subject, I'd like to share it with you.
