I did the Core workout today after TF60. Very good workout, I will definitely be feeling it tomorrow! It's only 11 minutes, so it should be pretty easy to fit it into my normal routine more often :-)

I did the Lower Body Extreme, I liked that one a lot. Lots of leg work in there! But there were 2 sets of push ups, as well. I was kind of surpirsed by that, but she does have you moving your legs up and down (one at a time) and the next set is move a let out to the side one at a time. I did shock myself, I can now do 15 regular push ups! I used to not even be able to do one! Woo hoo!

I did the Yoga one today. It was ok. It uses the weighted gloves, does not use the ball. I actually like the Bob Harper yoga ones better, he uses some weights and it feels more like a "workout" to me. The CE one was a good stretch though... She does do some tricep push ups with it....

I just need to try the core one now! TOMORROW :-)

I LOVE her Get On the Ball workouts, so I bought this shortly after it was released (just now seeing this post). I love them!

Chalene makes a joke warning you will be sore the day after the Extreme Core workout, and let me tell you - it's not a joke! If I keep the intensity high I feel it when I attempt to get out of bed the next day. It's so much better than traditional core workouts because you can extend backwards on top of the ball.

Extreme Intervals is my favorite of the CLX interval workouts. The ball just makes the whole thing more dynamic...and more fun, in my opinion.

Lower Body Extreme, for some reason, doesn't use the ball. LOT of leg work in that one!

Thanks Erin for the review! I love my CLX and was wondering about how this would fit into my usual routine of TF/TJ & CLX. Currently on my second round of CLX and I sometimes have difficulty doing some of the lunges due to my knees so I don't always feel like I'm getting the quality workout in my legs as I could if I could do a better lunge- this might be just what I need though to be able to do do deeper lunges but still stay safe.

My DVDs came in the mail yesterday! I did the Intervals one today. It's 40 minutes, total body workout. It uses the ball for the stretching and warm ups, you also use it to sit on when doing shoulder work, and you lay on it for tricep work. My ball is a little smaller than theirs on the DVD, but it was ok because we have a drop ceiling in our basement and I would have been hitting the ceiling when you take it overhead. Also for the lunges you have a hand on the ball at all times, and it makes me go down deeper, which gives a better leg workout! She did have some areas that did not use the ball and it was very similar to the fire drills in Turbo Fire (same moves). I really liked the workout and am glad that I bought it! Oh, and I was shocked at how sore my arms were even when I was just moving the ball up and down over my head. I am sore from yesterday's workout still (Bob Harper Inside Out Method Cardio) so that probably added to it some. I worked up a good sweat and the time went by very quickly!

The other DVDs are: Lower body extreme zone (40 min), Extreme Core Circuit (11:30 min), and Dynamic Flow Yoga (38 min). I will post about those when I do them :-)

Has anyone tried the ChaLEAN Extreme set of 4 newest workouts that use the ball? I was wondering how they are. I have the regular plus the advanced set, but this set uses the exercise ball.
