still waiting for TF to arrive so I will start the Burn phasetoday and then when it gets here i'll switch to the hybid :)
I'm interested in what the weight difference will be from the first time I did Burn....

Hi there! I am following the hybrid right now, I just started the PUSH phase this week. The hybrid program is inside TurboFire book (to my knowledge.) I bought both programs at the same time so I can't remember completely clearly. I want to say it is right after the TurboFire schedule.
Also, I found it when I googled it when I was too impatient to receive everything ;)

Hi everyone :) I'm new to Spark People and so far I'm really liking it :) I have made it thru the Push phase of CLX and then took a break. So I'm going to start from square one (Burn) and go thru the whole program. I also just ordered TurboFire and can't wait for it to arrive!! I would love to do a hybrid of the two....can anyone point me in the direction of where I would find a hybrid schedule? Thanks!! emoticon

I hope everyone is doing well. Today I did Fire 45 and stretch 10. So lately, I've been focusing more on CLX and I noticed my arms and thighs are getting more toned which makes me very happy. I hope everyone has a great week :o)

HIIT 25 with some FIRE 45 and a little CLX PUSH 2. WITH MY COACH! First time I have worked out with my coach and we did a little Chalene infusion. He's a P90x and Insanity guy and he now knows how intense Chalene can be - WOOT! So much fun, just had to share.

I didn't mean to scare you off of Lean...it's CHALLENGING but doable! You will love it. Tried the TurboFire band workout - Sculpt 30 and it was a good one! I do think I like the weights better overall.

I decided to wait until the 22nd to start the Lean Phase. I can not get to the gym until then. But I will keep going with my Turbo Fire....you are scaring me saying it is hard. emoticon LOL

Hi Kimmi!

I don't want to take multiple showers so I do them together! And I always do cardio first.

My plan lately is to do a short HIIT or FIRE 30 before weight training and then the circuit. I don't usually do longer cardio first as I find I am not as good with the circuit training. You may enjoy this article that encourages this cardio before weights: http://weighttraining.about.com/od/techniq

However, I think Chalene says to do whatever makes you feel best and strongest. For me, I am better if I don't beat down my muscles with CLX before trying to do all the punches and kicks in TF!

Just a quick question: Do you guys do your strength or cardio first? And do you separate your workouts into two separate workouts per day or do you lump them together? For example if I did CE Lean 3 today and then had TF 30 cardio to do, I would do my strength in the morning and then wait and do the cardio in the evening... do you guys lump them together or separate them?

Awesome burn yesterday!

I think I am a little lost so you would do running and strength training and also add in HIIT all on one day?

I think if you are going to stick with the bridge to 10K program then on days that you have a long turbo scheduled like FIRE 45 or 55EZ AND a run scheduled that lasts an hour that you stick with your running so you can stay on track with that and on days you are not running do the HIIT/strength combo or whatever is on the calendar for that day.

Looking at the schedule, I would modify it like:
Day 57: Monday - HIIT 15 & Stretch 10
Day 58: Tuesday - RUN (replacing FIRE 45) & Ab Burner
Day 59: Wednesday - Rest or run
Day 60: Thursday - HIIT 15 & Sculpt 30
Day 61: Friday - RUN (replacing 45 EZ) & Stretch 10
Day 62: Saturday - Core 20 & Stretch 40
Day 63: Sunday - RUN (replacing 55 EZ) & Stretch 10

Of course, then you are missing all the FUN TURBO FIRE CARDIOS! But you won't get burnt out.

I am in the second month of CLX/TF. Today I am going to do Fire 30 and PC1. Yesterday I ran 4 mi. I just finished the c25k program and have moved on to the bridge to 10k program. My question is that when I get into the third month the cardio in the CLX/TF program increases dramatically. I was thinking about keep the days I run, and only running those days with some sort of strength traingin (most likely sculpt and tone 30) and add in a stretch exercise. Then I would add the HIIT workouts and other Fire workouts to the same day. Doing the hiit in the morning before I teach summer school, and the fire workout after school in the evenings when it is cooler. Will this plan work, or should I simplify it even more to not get burned out.

P.S. yesterday my ran lasted just over an hour with a warm-up and cool down and I burned 830 calories.

Good afternoon!

I just finished Push 1 as scheduled and added in a HIIT. Still trying to make up some workouts but not going to obsess this week as it was putting too much pressure on me. Would like to get to 3500 calories. Today was about 460. :) It's a fair start to the week and I am not going to burn out this way.

Did HIIT 15 and PC1...My daughter made brownies last nite (she's 10) and wanted to set a fancy table for dessert. I tried pushing my brownie around but she noticed..I didn't want to bum her joy so I just ate it....that's why I added HIIT 15!!

Good job Joann!

Mary, I did burn out a little! But setting my goal of 4500 for this week since I didn't hit my 3500 this week. That's about 645 cals per day. We will see if that happens but not going to go crazy and push so hard I can't move! Today I did 896 with a Fire 45 and Push 1 plus a stretch 10. Did the stretch while it was raining outside and it was really relaxing. :)

That's cool you have a 10 year old. I have a 12 year old. Sounds like something he would do, too! Sweet.

I just have a Polar heart monitor...little less pricey than the Bodybugg but it really gets me to push harder so I almost always wear it. Glad you are sticking with this, too. I think the scale is getting kicked back under the bed. Is that bad fung shui (sp?) to keep a scale under the bed? Hmmm....

WOW...that's a whole lot for one day! You better pace yourself,girl,or you might burn out! I get the itch to do more too. Every time I think about summer i just wanna do more. My 10 year old daughter put a sticky note on my t.v. in my basement where i workout...it says "shut up and do it!"....Love, Madison. So sweet, these kids! She's right though...sounds like something i might say to myself when i don't feel like working out.I don't have a bodybugg so not sure how many cals i'm burning. Not weighing myself anytime soon either! Keep on going and I will too!

I am so glad you are still in this with me! I bet it was so nice to walk around outside like that with your daughter. I mean, this is one of the reasons we workout so hard, right? To enjoy being healthy enough to enjoy activities with our children.

I did....1328 calories today! Fire 30, Fire 45EZ, Core 20, Burn 2! When I freaked out that it was Friday and I set a goal of 3500 cals this week, I just dropped everything and started burning. I may be paying for this tomorrow! But My scale went up as well. I am so sad about that.

Ohmygosh I do the SAME THING sometimes. I also always have a mirror in the room next to me when I work out so I feel like there is someone else pushing hard and it motivates me to keep up! Does everyone else use mirrors, too?

This is probably gonna sound totally weird, but, I actually "pretend" that I'm in a class. I try to work out as if there are people all around and I try to keep up! It really helps me! I act as if i'm in the front row of class and I can't slack 'cause then people will see!! I know, crazy!

It was Turbo Kick Round 34 for me! I had to mix it up a little this week. Chalene says that Round 34 is her favorite and I have to agree....so much fun. Does anyone take any classes? I never have...perfectly happy with my videos!

Hey Joann...I sent you a message but in case anyone else is interested... I use a Precor heart rate monitor that you wear when working out. You enter in your height and weight and it calculates your burn based on your heart rate. I love it. It really motivates me and keeps me on track.

WMCHICK - It may be awhile till I bust out that CLX cardio again like I said but I tried 45EZ today and WOW. LOVED IT! Think I will get hooked on this.

Plan is to do Burn 2, Abs 10 or some other abs thing and a stretch tomorrow.

Hey girls - great getting your workouts in! Where are the other 20 people signed up to do this? Come on peeps!

Today I did 20 HIIT and Burn 1. Getting back on track. A few ab workouts and some short stretches missed but will throw those in at some point. I am at 1600 burned cals for the week. Goal is 3500. Hope I can do it!

Next week is when all the TF cardio starts so I think I am going to start liking this more. And I am definitely subbing some TFs for Burn Intervals and Burn it Off from time to time because I got BURNED OUT (haha) on them. But that's the great part of a hybrid...you never have to get bored or feel like it is routine.

Having some greek yogurt and honey. Yum! Hope everyone is great!

Started the Lean for Life phase yesterday- I did Fire45 and Burn Circuit 1. Today just did 60 minutes on the elliptical. Tomorrow is going to be some form of cardio as well as Push Circuit 2. I don't have another TF workout scheduled until Saturday for some reason. Might have to double check my calendar.

Don't give up!! I actually had to look up the jab-cross-hook-up on youtube because I could NOT figure out what the heck they were doing. Now I get it because I found a step by step video.

I started the hybrid last week. I am doing it in conjunction with the c25k program. So far so good.

Hey to everyone! How was your weekend? I didn't do so hot on stuff. I think I have learned by now that weekends are a challenge for me. But today's a new day. Pushing play in an hour or so.

I like that idea of putting the workouts on the phone as well. I should just incorporate that into Chalene's 30 Day Challenge. Nancy, come on, girl! Persist! Any way you do it you are still burning calories!

Today and tomorrow I will be reevaluating the schedule some and getting some planning done. The week doing the Inferno was GREAT, the food was good and planned out, the workouts were planned out. If I could do that every week, I would be in much better shape. And I can, right?

Have a great day and cheers to finishing CLX! I think rotating LFL throughout the hybrid sounds great. You really would be mixing it up!

Nancy, I too had trouble with some of the moves, especially in the FIRE 30 with the jab-cross-hook-uppercut. I felt like I was just jumping around and punching the air. It took me multiple attempts to finally get the routine down. It just takes practice :o)

Nancy--what DVD is it that you can't figure out??? Don't give up on yourself...how many times have you tired??? Some to me about 5 times to get down....just keep moving ans you will get it ...honest!!!

I guess I'm the only one that can't do the kickboxing workouts? I just tried the 45 minute dvd and ended up in tears because I just cannot figure it out. I tried the "New to Class" option and still couldn't even come close to figuring it out. Looks like I'll be returning my program (and all of my skinny clothing) and asking for a refund. Good luck to everyone else.

Today I ran four miles and did lean circuit three. I finished ChaLeAN and am so excited!!!! I'm going to incorporate the lean for life workouts into my hybrid rather than going through all the months again.

Well I am still going strong. I had to download a google calendar app on my phone, so I could keep track of my schedule workouts more easily. It's way better than looking for my paper copy which for some reason I can't always seem to find. I like to check the calendar the night before and see what my workout for the morning is. I did Fire30, Abs10, and Lean Circuit 2 yesterday. This morning woke up late so only squeezed in a Fire45EZ workout. It really isn't EZ as the name implies but doesn't have the fire drills like the Fire classes.

I am so sorry to have been remiss and absent - I am still here and still workin it. I am riding in the Tour De Cure MI on June 11 and MI weather finally has been springy enough for me to get out and ride some which I NEED to do to prepare for this ride and I've been doing that, my Biggest Loser Challenge weekly challenges AND this challenge for the most part - I am having trouble keeping up and my knees are screaming (remember, I am old). That said, I am not quitting and with adjustments I am working it! :) I love Beachbody and Shakeology and all that goes with it so I am in for the duration!

Mary, YES, today is a new day! I did BC2 and Burn it Off yesterday to help catch me up. Today is stretching and maybe BC3 or abs. I am feeling good about yesterday as far as eating and working out. I decided that I may be able to take two days off but more than that and I am not happy!

Enjoy today! This is part of your life that's supposed to be fun. :)

OMG!!! ......sick kids, dr. appointments, field trips, chaperoning,bake sales,plant sales,strep throat,dance class,school,religious ed, parties....I could go on but I won't...this is called life getting in the way. Did I mention that I twisted my ankle while taking out the garbage?? Today is a NEW DAY!! Can't wait to work out! Don't know where I left off, but who cares! I'm feeling like some BC 2 and a little cardio. Happy Workout Everyone!!
