Okay peeps, finished ChaLean Extreme (28lbs lost, 19.69 inches lost and 8.6% body fat lost)
and after reading all this I decided to buy TurboFire. I get sick of Insanity because it is only a 30 day system and it is bootcamp and not fun sometimes. I have done it and will continue to use it, BUTTTT since I am starting P90x in July (did it in 2009), I think I need some fun cardio to go with it. So, I hear TurboFire is intense, but not as bad as Insanity. I don't think I will have the energy for Insanity after doing my P90x workouts, so TurboFire with the pumped music will be good.

Only concerned about the possible dance moves because I am not a dancey person, but hope it will be doable.
I like the Fat Blaster and think that is about the right speed and intensity of cardio for me, so assuming TurboFire is like that and maybe a tad bit faster?

---------

The explanation of ChaLean: weight lifting system for 90 days with abs and bit of cardio thrown in. More compound moves and shorter sessions.

TurboJam is cardio with more kickboxing dancey moves

TurboFire is cardio 90 day system with HIIT and kickboxing dancey moves with great music and a couple of light strength days.

I plan on doing the TurboFire/P90x hybrid starting July 5th. Beachbody has released the official tracking sheets for this on their site, so will follow that plan and see what happens.

Thanks for all the information.

Love love love Turbo Jam! You don't like Slim n'6? I was wondering because I thought maybe about doing that sometime after the series I'm doing right now.

So Turbo Jam (TJ) - kickboxing fun, great dance music, good cardio

Turbo Fire (TF) -I've read it described as Turbo Jam on steroids and I think that's pretty accurate - totally pumped up TJ. if you are doing TJ you will recognize and know a lot of the moves in Turbo Fire

Chalean Extreme (CLX) - an excellent weight lifting series that breaks it up in 4-week increments so you have a great 90 day program. I'm on my second round and since you change it up every 30 days you have great muscle confusion. There is some cardio included but it isn't as intense as Turbo Fire. I personally do my own hybrid of mixing TF or TJ (for cardio) and CLX (for strength training).

Love it all!
Laura

This whole thread has helped me! I think I'm starting to understand the differences. I only have the original Turbo Jam series [I got it like over 2 years ago! but just recently started using it] I also have Slim N' 6...it kinda sux...

So when i get the moola I'd like to up grade to something much better and now I'm pretty positive the 1st thing I'm going to buy is Turbo Fire.

Ok so a question of my own: What is the difference between Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreem? [please put the name of the workout next to the one you're talking about.]

Ask me how I tightened and toned loose skin in as little as 45 minutes! For real, all natural, safe and doctor approved!

There is a basic schedule that comes with it but then you can add in the extras. I wasn't following a schedule when I had it. Fat Blaster is more a taste of FIRE. I would say it's the most intense JAm- you do get to sweat with the Cardio parties but not as much as with FIRE if you have already done Insanity and P90x I would fear that you will find it really easy and get bored.
I think that Insanity is a little more intense than FIRE, FIre has more options as far as the non HIIT days which are intense. It has better music than Insanity. I usually say Insanity is like boot camp and FIRE is like a party. Fire has better music than Jam in my opinion.

Are you wanting something less intense? Then Jam may be it- but if you want something different from Insanity then FIRE is a great trade. This week a few times I have traded Insanity for FIRE with my CLX just bc they are so different. I didn't want to have 'fun' I just wanted to sweat so Insanity is my option on those days.

Hope that helps some?

Please someone explain Turbo Jam to me. I have ChaLean Extreme, P90x and Insanity. ChaLean Extreme is what I am working on now. Last week of Lean. It came with Turbo Fat Blaster, which I see is part of the Turbo Jam franchise. I am confused when I look up Turbo Jam because it doesn't seem to have a whole 90 day system to it like Turbo Fire and the others.

I see something about the original coming with five workouts, then cardio party mixes 1-3 and then a kickboxing one and the fat blaster one I have. So, is there no real system to it? it's all individual DVD's?

Just trying to figure out what to get, and if these are all similar to the fat blaster I have...which is 4 turbos. I like the Fat Blaster and am looking for some cardio that is fun to do that is not too dancey, but with good music. I want to do this when I start P90x again in July.

Turno Fire is a whole system, I see. But, appears to be as intense as Insanity, so don't want to repeat what I have already. What is more fun with the best music? Turbo Fire or Turbo Jam?

Just confused.

Thanks for asking the question. I've been wondering myself if I could just combine TJ with CLX when I finish the lean phase or if purchasing TF was a better option. I know my cardio needs work since I've only been doing CLX for past 3 months

I also feel the same way about turbo fire. It is intense but totally doable if you have already done turbo jam for a while. I have been doing turbo fire for a couple weeks now and I love it. I tried to do turbo jam 20 minute workout last week and now it feels super easy. LOL.
I also agree about the ChaLEAN Extreme incorportation. Today is the first day I will be doing the CLX/Turbo Fire hybrid workout and I am excited to combine to two and see the results.

I tried INSANITY and it is INSANE! I love the Cardio Dance type workouts. Thanks for the info! Have you tried anything else that is like TurboJam but harder?

Hey, I own both and they are kind of different. Turbo Jam I think is more dancy and Turbo Fire is just go go go. It's very high intensity and you have alot more strength exercises that come w/ turbo fire..core 20, sculpt 30, tone 30. I suggest getting Chalean Extreme along w/ Turbo Fire. They make a great combination!

Go for it!

I have been doing TurboJam 6 days a week for about a month now and I am thinking about purchasing TurboFire. Has any one else went from TJ to TF and see more results?
