I didn't think to measure my love handles and I'm disappointed that I didn't. I haven't really lost any around my waist, but I can visibly see my love handles going down. Wish I would have measure them before starting!

I lost 4 pounds during Burn but since starting Push I haven't lost anything. In fact I have gained about a 1/2 pound. I did do some measurements though today and I have lost 1 inch around my thighs and another inch from my love handles so that sure made me feel a whole lot better. I am officially halfway through the program now and am looking forward to Lean.

Try Craigslist if you really wanna get select techs. I got a PAIR for only $250 and they were like new. And if you can't go for them yet try getting the bands. you can get those pretty cheap online or at like Walmart or somewhere. I'm in the push pahse and have only dropped 2 pounds. I will admit that my eating hasn't been as good as it should be though. I am losing inches though and I an see some muscles in my arm now! I am about to start doing hip hop abs in conjucntionso hopefuly that cardio will help too. That is a really fun workout if you are looking for some more cardio. I am going to do push phase agin though and go heavier but with a good diet. I think I will really see some results then. Good luck!

Ahh, I see! I must have missed those reviews or I would have splurged for Selectechs!

From reviews Ive read online though it would be the best investment to go with select techs, because the other brands wont last as long, and arent as good quality. So I figured I might as well spring for the good ones lol

You don't have to buy Selectechs; there are cheaper ones out there that get the job done. I have some by Weider that I purchased at Kmart. Sears also sells them. The cost was like $70 each...adjusts from 5 lb to 25 lb in 2.5 lb increments.

My heaviest are 12 lbs, and I use those for everything already... So I know if Im supposed to be pushing myself to lift heavier I would need more. I need to save my pennies for the select techs, but it will be a while before I have the money for them. :(

I have 40-50 lbs to lose, so I should be dropping weight lol! *sigh*

Hey girl! I didn't see any weight loss until LEAN phase and even then it was more inches that I lost and only a few pounds. I didn't have a ton of weight to lose but needed to lose the baby belly from #2. I did have to add more calories to my diet- but then I went way too many so had to go back down again. My weights only go up to 15 pounds and I could totally do more than that- but it still works and I'm doing the hybrid with FIRE and still loving my results- even without heavy weights that I know I could use! Keep it up! You won't be disappointed...even if the scale tries to make you that way!

I'm using the Bowflex weights that Chalene uses in the video, but the smaller set. I'm using 20-lb weights now and that's as high as my set goes. It's giving me a workout for sure!

Yeah they actually have overhauled WW, and they encourage more protein now.

Speaking of Push... do you need heavier weights in push? because Im already using my heaviest weights in Burn...

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I for sure am not giving up, its just frustrating, and Im wondering if I need to change my eating. I LOVE the muscles I feel myself getting, so Im definitely not eager to STOP doing CHX.

I didn't do well with WW in combination with Chalean Extreme, either. (I dropped WW when I started gaining!) You may need to eat more, not less!

I'm on my third round of CLX, and do much better with a higher protein intake. I've also dropped prepared foods and try to eat fresh fruits, vegetables and meat. I have an occasional soy protein shake mixed with fruit. It makes a good snack or meal replacement.

I know with WW, the protein foods have a higher points value. I read in WW magazine that the program is changing for the new year. Maybe those changes will make a difference for you. Hang in there! Mary

Keep plugging away at it Noey! I didn't lose anything during the Burn Phase, the best results came from the Push & Lean Phases. The Burn Phase isn't so much about major results as it is preparing your body for the next 2 phases. Good luck!

I guess maybe its not a good weight watcher workout LOL! Since i have to go weigh in every week, and gaining is not fun, cause of course they ask you why you think your gaining and whats going on etc. *sigh*

I had a very small loss in weight during my first time through the Burn Phase. Seems like I gained some and it didn't all come off until the very end, and I finally ended the month with a small loss of 2 lb, but I lost LOTS of inches (12.5). Keep on keeping on. Let the tape measure be your guide more than the scale!

Hey there - I know it's frustrating but hang in there. Think of it this way: Have you eaten enough extra calories to gain five pounds of fat? Not likely!! That would be nearly 18,000 extra calories! What's probably happening is you're building muscle, and your body is retaining water in response to the lifestyle changes. That's what seems to happen to me: I'll gain two pounds in the first three days of my program, then when I weigh a few days later I'm back up a pound or 1.5. You KNOW that what you are doing is good for you so don't give up! You might take a few measurements (waist, ribcage, hips, thighs) then give it a few weeks and take the measurements again. Chances are you'll have lost some size - and probably weight too!
Hope this helps,
Gina

I know this is a normal part of weight lifting etc... but Im feeling really frustrated and depressed.
I do the weight watchers eating plan, and am on week 3 of Chalean X. Ive been doing burn, mon, wed, and fri (1, 2 and 3) and also doing cardio 3 days a week (walking,or jogging for at least 30-40 mins on my treadmill)
When I started, I shot up 5 lbs straight away, and I cannot get back down! What is going on? I know muscle makes you hold water, etc, but WHEN is this going to turn around again? I keep having gains at my weight watchers meetings, and I feel like a total tool!!! :( Any insight for me?
I dont know if I am not eating enough, or am I eating too much, or do I need to add in more cardio, or do I just need to wait it out??
