My favorite on-the-run protein snacks are cheese sticks, cottage cheese w/canned fruit and cherry yogurt.
I have a little insulated lunch bag and ice packs that makes taking snacks along very easy. I always pack snacks or a lunch on shopping trips too. Then I avoid the temptation of fast food or loading up the carts too much.

Sometimes I'm on the run and don't get to have dinner at the time I would like, or if I have yoga in the evening I don't want to eat a big meal before hand, but I would like to get a little something so I don't faint!!! :)
What are your suggestions for a nice snack that packs a protein punch? Doesn't have to be super-portable, but would be nice if I can package it up to eat in the car.
