Good question. For about the past six months, I have avoided processed foods, bought organic or local as much as possible, and cooked most foods from raw state. I joined a gym and although I'm not a gym rat yet, I have had some success with a combo of strength training and cardio. I've lost about 30 pounds but the best thing is I feel great. I've rediscovered a love of cooking and realize that one can always learn new ways to prepare fresh vegetables. I appreciate the tips I find here.
I have probably read practically every diet book out there(I have Pul McKennas bk/cd)right now I am making an effort to walk my dog each night & trying to eat more vegies & less of the bad stuff...though when I got on the scale this am & had regained 1 of the 4 lbs I'd just lost-like any petulant, spoiled child-I stuffed my face... ...

So we've all opted to give up or work on giving up land-based animals as protein sources. But what else are you doing?
I'm working on a combo of intuitive eating programs -- Paul McKenna, Geneen Roth and Jon Gabriel are my gurus there.
I've also started doing the Abs Diet for Women. Not really doing the diet so much as following the exercise program and trying to follow the advice about getting the 12 power foods to be the basis of my diet because they are good choices for a healthy eating.
