Bob Blumer's Steamy-Dishwashy Salmon
****************************************
1 whole salmon
olive oile
onions and other veggies (your choice)
your choice of seasonings

Place salmon on a large piece of aluminium foil. Sprinkle with oil and place veggies on top and season to taste.
Fold in the sides of the foil so it is in a packet. Turn the seam down and wrap again in another piece of foil. Do it again so taht there are 3 foil layers.
Place on the top rack of a "ready to run" dishwasher and wash per normal. SERIOUSLY! emoticon
When dishwasher is done washing , open it BEFORE the dry cycle, remove the fish packet (then finish your dishes).
Let salmon sit 5 mins to cool down and serve.

Cajun Praline Salmon
**********************
4 x 6 oz salmon fillets
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar (I would not use Splenda Brown here as it needs to caramelize)
Cajun spice or hot sauce

Sprinkle each fillet with the pecans, brown sugar and spice. Bake at 400 degrees for 8+ minutes (it depends on the thickeness and how hot your oven is ... mine is a cold oven so it is hard to say what it would be for yours)

Salmon and Edamame Salad
*******************************
7 oz can drained salmon (pick off skin and bones)
1 c shelled edamame (soy beans), cooked and chilled
1/2 c diced celery
2 sliced green onions
1/3 c fat-free mayo
1 1/2 tsp. wasabi paste
1 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds (garnish, so optional)
1 Tbsp. grated fresh giners (garnish, so optional)
Mix together all of the ingredients (save the garnish) and let sit in the fridge for an hour for the flavours to meld.
Serves four.
NOTE: If you cannot get edamame, caned and drained soy beans will do.

I have two other good ones somewhere here ... will post when I am wracked with insomnia later tonight and can find them online without a problem ...I seem to be computer illiterate at the moment.

I thought that I would start a "recipe exchange" were we could add a recipe that we like to share with others.

I LOVE capers so thought that I would start us off with this one ...

Tuna-Caper Spread
******************
1 6-ounce can chunk light tuna in water
4 ounces reduced fat cream cheese (1/2 cup)
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or more to taste
3 tablespoons capers, rinsed and chopped
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
Combine tuna, cream cheese, oil, lemon juice and cayenne in a food processor and process until smooth. Transfer to a serving bowl; stir in capers, parsley and thyme.

Per 1/16th of the recipe:
Calories 39 Carbohydrates 0 Fat 3 Saturated fat 1 Mono unsaturated fat 1 Protein 3 Cholesterol 9 Fiber 0 Potassium 38

...this recipe can obviously be made with fat-free cream cheese ... we cannot get it in Canada so I worked out the recipe nutritional info. with what I could cook with
