Ladies you are an inspiration!

I've been somewhat absent due to my first half of Nov. being a disaster between being sick, breaking a toe and getting gout.

I am a co-leader for the SP Biggest Loser Winter Challenge purple team so we are starting the season on Dec. 3rd and I hope to make daily exercise a routine to get my minutes on this team and lose wt. on the purple team.

Hang in the Sharlene. I'm trying to hang in there too. I've developed what I believe is gout in my right big toe. It was the left foot that had the broken toe and that feels pretty good but now I have severe pain, much worse than the broken toe, in my right big toe. Hurts like heck!

Today was a total toss up to work out or not to work out. Technically it should have defiantly be no considering I started blacking out last night after doing only water aerobics and woke up this morning with a tension headache that would not go away. But after going I am so happy I did, I had a long talk with the instructor before class and flat out said am not sure if I will make it or not. It went well, made it all the way through with only a little pain in my knee but since I was told not to add resistance all was well. And we checked my settings again and repositioned again after class so hopefully the pain will be better the next time. :) My goal is to hopefully be back to hard core workouts starting next monday. :) But still know better then to push too hard.

Last night I took 1/2 of a water aerobic class so only 25 minutes and apparently it was way too much for me yet. I went from the pool to the hot tub, and then took a cold shower after almost blacking out. This morning I woke up with a massive tension headache. Ug hopefully soon things will be better! I am so tired of sitting on the sidelines!

Gas_Sag, don't over do it! Be patient with yourself and you'll heal faster.

Work was crazy Thursday and Friday, but I managed to get off a little early yesterday and hit the gym. I was so tired though I only did 20 min. on the elliptical and then went home and crashed.

As of right now I am not setting a goal until I am back full strength will still continue to log my minutes but do not want to force myself to do anything until I know I am back fully! With that being said I am torn! I feel so crappy still from the second surgery Wednesday due to complications, pain has been 5-10 even when taking pain meds. But I just want to go do a hard core workout. I know it is probably not a good idea as I do not want to overdo it and have to backtrack yet again. Ug what to do What to do!!!

All of my minutes has been walking laps slowly roughly 20 minutes per day.

Hi everyone I will be here to cheer you on for a while, until I get the pain under control and make sure that I am done with all oral surgeries I am benched! Hopefully that will be Friday then I can set some numbers, but for now it is just a matter of waiting.

I only got in 30 min. walking back and forth to my polling place. I was going to do the treadmill but my toe was protesting and I felt like I was coming down with something. I hit the hay early and I feel much better this a.m.

Since I will be in New York part of this month I am going to go a little easier on myself...will be doing tons of walking doing the "tourist" stuff...if I am able to do more....fantastic!

Basically there are 4 numbers. The first number is the number of days you pledge to workout, the 2nd number is the number of minutes you pledge to workout per day, the 3rd number would be your total for the month and the 4th number is the number of minutes you have remaining. For example:

5/30/500/500 would be workout 5 days a week for 30 minutes at a time and 500 minutes would be the monthly total and you have 500 minutes yet to fulfill your pledge. Then if you worked out a couple of days for 30 min. each time, your numbers would be 5/30/500/440. The 440 is because you've worked out a total of 60 minutes so the last number would drop by 60.
