After work most every evening - either Jazzercise or a gym workout. Not really an early morning riser so that usually doesn't happen - unless I do it on the weekend.

workout 30-45 mins before work and 1-1/2 hrs after work daily if possible.

I personally LOVE to work out in the morning. It gives me this awesome sense of accomplishment that energizes and motivates me throughout the day AND I'm more likely to work out again in the evening - which just adds those minutes right up. My problem is I'm a night owl and even if I do get to bed on time my subconscious hijacks me in the morning and I always wake up at the last minute!

I love to workout before work because I do feel energized but don't often get the chance as I work 11pm till 7am and save the early evening for doing my chores. On my days off I'll go in the evening with my youngest son (15). He's healthy and fit and spends a little time with the weights and machines but mostly enjoys being able to shoot hoops to his hearts content on a full half court.. but it's also some quality time for us.
I'm a gym rat.. I'd go all day and night if I had the chance..lol

George I am so with you on that one. I too am a night owl and would love to workout at night, but have to do it in the morning if I want to actually sleep at night. On my days off I tend to workout at night sometimes though.

I've gotten up at 4:45 a.m. to get to our gym at 5:00 a.m. when it opens. It does make a difference in your day and you do feel more energized. On the other hand, you really have to plan anything else so that you can be in bed by 9 or so so you can do it again the next day.

I've found that working out after work and going to bed soon after makes it hard for me to get to sleep because my body is more energized. However, it allows me to take better advantage of my night owl habits.

I've heard from some friends that they have more energy throughout the day when they work out in the morning. They get a chance to really feel the effects of the workout instead of going to bed soon afterward. Maybe I could do a half hour in the morning and the rest at night...hmm that sounds like a lot of laundry.

In the past I worked out before work. I found it really brightened my day and my usual excuses (too tired, no time) had no merit. I can't seem to get up early enough these days so now, I work out immediately after work. It was tough in the beginning - getting home after 6 and still needing to prepare dinner - now we cook ahead as much as we can and the crock pot has become my friend again! Working out and eating right just takes adjustment - and dedication! and motivation!

During or after. I am a morning person but I do not like to exercize till mid morning or afternoon!

My schedule is so crazy it totally depends on the day, week, or schedule! If I can actually take a class I will go when the classes is scheduled if not I usually try to go before work because trying to go at 8PM and still get to bed at a normal time dose not work well. if i get up and go before work I know I am going to get in a great workout and not be too tired after work or tomorrow to get one in!

I know this is the Work out AFTER Work Challenge team but does anyone work out before work instead? As I'm spending more and more time at the gym I find my evenings are looking like a blur. I love to sleep so waking up at 6AM will be hard but is it worth it? Thoughts?
