Hi and welcome BrandyLynn.

I'm home, unpacked and clean. We went camping at Fern Basin near Idylwild, CA. It's gorgeous there. It's at 6300 feet of elevation so all the walking we did was really tough - we live near sea level. My boyfriend burned 5 pounds off and I gained one. Probably all the water I drank but so unfair! It was nice and cool and the stargazing was fabulous. We had scattered thundershowers on Saturday which meant 2 or 3 big fat cooling raindrops about every minute or two. No one got wet - we just got cooled off a bit. Even the dog had fun.

Hey Dutch, don't worry about the numbers. I suck at math and regularly mess up my numbers! LOL Just keep exercising.

Speaking of which, I did 50 minutes last night on the bike. We're going camping this weekend so I won't be here but I WILL be hiking in high altitude and burning lots of calories. Hope everyone else has fun weekend plans too!

Finally figured out the numbers thing. Okay, so I'm a bit slow. Let's see, I haven't really set a goal (on paper), but I know what I've been doing, so let's start there:

I've been dragging my boyfriend out in the evenings to walk. He's trying to lose about 20 lbs. We also take the dog. It's a family thing. So far we're all enjoying ourselves and it's getting easier.

Today I did 40 minutes on the treadmill, 18 minutes of aerobics and 32 minutes of strength training with my Wii Active Personal trainer

Nobody lost me. I'm still here. I'm getting spammed by Sparkmail, comments on my blog, etc so I turned everything off for a while.

I'm still a way from my goal weight but my knees feel so much better and I have a lot more energy.

I have been really busy so I have been pretty inactive on here BUT I am still doing good about food and working out I just have not been able to get on the forums and such for support and motivation! I am still very happy with my sucess and plan to keep at it! Next week is going to be slow but after that I plan to hit the gym hard again!!!!!

I have been so off track lately and when I got on the scale this morning all my dietary sins of the past couple weeks have come to roost. I've got to get back on track.

I am finally getting cought up on things again after a long hard week. Now I can relax

Kali & Tiny I am not so sure how the whole bike ride is going to go, totally excited but now that it is getting close to the ride 17 days before I am getting a lot more nurvese in what i am getting myself into.

You two are so funny when I am working out like mad, eating is a problem because I don't eat very much at all and have to force myself to eat, but on the other hand if I am not working out I have to find a way of preventing myself from eating too much. Need to find the happy medium if there is one.

can't believe it's July already. That's 1 month till my wedding. This is crunch time for me.

I'll be working out 5x for this first three weeks, but not sure what my schedule would be like for the week before the wedding. I want to still get some workouts int here.

I've been working out consistently all week! I just bought EA Active for my Wii and I've been shocked how sweaty I've been getting in only 20 or 30 minutes. I'm not quite sold on being able to get fit with just that though so I'm going back to the gym after work this week. It's nice for the weekends when I don't want to drive accross town for the gym though.

Hi everyone, I am back for another month, will try to keep up but am not so sure how much free time I will have. the first half of the month will be spent on hard core training hopefully, then the last 5 days of the month will be spent on a bike for 5+ hours per day probably as I am doing a 300 mile bike ride. Hopefully it will go well.

My numbers are going to be 60/5/1400/1300.

I made it three days this week so far. Each day I did 50 minutes cardio, treadmill and eliptical and 45 minutes strength training. Right now my motivation is high and I sure hope I keep it.

I rode my exercise bike for 50 minutes last night even though it was incredibly hot and humid. I also spent 20 minutes planting tomatoes and squash in pots in my back yard. Yummy.

Guess what time it is? I know, ALREADY! And that means it's time to take a few moments to figure out what our goals for this new month are. Jo has written this terrific information on how to calculate your goal numbers:

For all our new members, this is how we work out our numbers:

Example: JOBUNNY---40/3/630/600

40 = How many minutes I pledge to do each day
3 = How many days a week I pledge to do (so we have 40 x 3 = 120 mins per week then x this number by the amount of weeks in the month so it's 40 x 3 = 120 x 4 weeks = 480 (if we have an odd week I'll throw in one extra day of working out to compensate for that 480 + 40 = 520 for the month)
630 = How many minutes I pledge to work out for the month
600 = How many minutes I have left in my goal. (I've put in that I've done 30 minutes mowing already this week so you can see how it works)

So... all the numbers stay the same for the entire month APART from the last one. that one will go down as you do your exercises. Each Sunday / Monday you need to email me your numbers (just emailing 'hi I did 35 minutes this week' is fine, you don't have to send the entire thing) or you can post them on this board and I'll pick them up from here. Please put 'Jo' then your numbers, so I can pick up that you want them recorded not just listed for everyone to see.

If you have questions or need help, Jo and I are happy to help. Just let us know.

My July goals are going to be a bit more aggressive than June's: 4/50/800/800
