I workout on my lunchbreak. I ususally just do the treadmill for 40 minutes.
I work at a Jr High so I have limited time for lunch. 45 minutes to be exact. Now that the weather is nice, I bring my sneakers and go out for 30 minute walk everday. This is in addition to my 30 minute walk/run at 5:30 am and my 30 min walk/run in the evening. I tried recruiting other teachers but they would rather go to the lunch room, sit on their bums and gripe about their diets! To each his own!
Get up and dance! Sing too!
Remember, for cardio, during the day its cumulative, so if you can grab a break and walk 10 mins then lunch 20 mins then another break or right after work 10 mins you can get your 40-50 min in a day, hopefully you can thenn get some weight training in, I do circuit training at the gym, I do 10 min walk warm up then a 12 weight/machines 12 rep with no rest, then 7 min elliptical then 7 min tread and then another circuit, I can get it in a 50 min span, but I have the luxury of not having to rush back to work. But if you can do it a couple times a week and 1time during the weekends. Your all set.
Hope that helps you a little. weights are important, though seeing your progress toward your goal, your doing great.
I also try to do some workout at lunch but I only have 30min....so I eat the first 10min and walk for 20 min which I can usually get in a little over a mile. I also have two children that I have to work around. I get up an hour earlier and exercies then also ..then usually after work the weather permitting I take my 6 and 7 year old on walks with me.

i work out on my hour lunch break at work at the gym, being a mom of two doesn't give me much flexibility when it comes to picking times. i'm just wondering if anyone else works out at lunch and/or how should i prioritize my time to get the best workout/results with my 50 mins a day.
