Monday 3 hours walking on the treadmill and attending a spin class and also working out on the weight machines. Today 90 minutes Attending a strength training class and also walking on the treadmill.

It worked. I have lost 3 more lbs. this week. And I ate 3 meals a day, no skipping. A lot of salad though and fruit salad. Today I am treating myself to pizza hut for some spaghetti. But then I work out at the gym. Have a good day.

Today was my last Sunday off from work Starting I will have Saturdays this way no excuse for not being able to do 5K's that I want to. Had a nice NSV last night Itried on a skirt that I haven't worn in about 4 years it fit and I could put my hand in the waist and I'm 8 pounds heavier then when I purchased that skirt. emoticon guess strength training is working it was tight in the stomach but not last night I started on Friday pulling out smaller clothes to get rid o the stuff to big on me I'm so excited to see results like this

4 miles on the treadmill and 30 times up and down the steps. I am so proud of myself because I almost convinced myself not to go the gym today. But this evening I decided to go just for a little bit but ended up doing alot. Weight you do not stand a chance. I am getting rid of you.

Hi Sparkteam,
This week has been a little tough for me. I gained instead of lost so that was a little disappointing.And for some reason my energy level dropped so low that allI wanted to do was sleep. I did excercize Monday but for only 1 hour then went home to bed (I usually do 2). Yesterday I went straight home from work and was in bed by 7:00 pm. Today I was much better and I did 3 miles on the treadmill, 10 miles on the bike, 25 x up and down the stairs(21) and 50 lbs 100 x on the ab machine. I made up for Monday and Tuesday. Needless to say, I am tired but energized tonight. Not foggy or listless.

I dont know what happened to me yesterday but I was sooo tired. I left the gym and went home, ate and went straight to bed. I slept till 5:00 this morning. Feel a little better today, still feeling tired though. Yesterday, even though I was tired and went home early, I did manage to do 1 mile on the treadmill and 5 miles on the bike. I will be going to the gym today and hopefully will have energy enough to do more. The mind is willing but not sure if the body is.

I did my workout at the gym today 1 mle on the treadmill and 5 miles on the bike. Had to go home early though because I was falling asleep on the bike. So tired I cannot function.

Linda-Way to Go on the 5k! Once you do one, you get hooked!

Sunshine today. I ran 5 miles this morning and DH and I went riding this afternoon. My first time on my new bike. It was a bit cool and windy but it felt great. Indoor cycling has really helped.

Snow/rain tomorrow. I guess I'll clean the house.

The race this morning was a lot of fun I meet some really awesome people today was a nice way to get into jogging 5K very informal and fun one to start with I am so looking forward ot do another one in Sept the weather wasn't to hot - cloudy which keep the sun away to make a more comfortable jog Its hard to figure a 5K my pedometer had 3.11 miles but other runners GPS app on smart phone had the course at 3.2 miles I did it in 44 minutes and 26 seconds emoticon emoticon

Been a few days since my last visit. This week has not been great. Just havent been feeling the workouts. So I just have been doing a little here and there. My eating has been hit or miss as well. Hasnt been too bad, but hasnt been great either.
My husband has been super supportive and told me to just take it easy this week (with the workouts) and that I have my whole life to get fit..........but I dont want to be struggling for the rest of my life to lose the weight. Maybe just a funk this week. I Mean I have been working out 6 days a week non-stop for almost a month now.
I know next week I need to get moving. I know I will NEED to fit it in. Maybe I will come in early one day (perhaps Wednesday) and do a good one on the treadmill.

I had a few days of really bad eating emoticon and found out why this morning I was eating so horribly So today I am doing my best ot keep my sweet tooth at bay. Made it to gym this afternoon preparing for Saturday 5K I do beleive I will be okay with my first 5K

Devon yes I did see that article here @ SP now I can't find the link to it now Turns about to be about 300 fitness minutes a week no way I can do 5 days but I usually get 4 days in on a good week but it was a great article

A foot and deep muscle massage would feel so great right now. I think I need to check my work shoes. Has anyone tried the Scholl custom fit inserts? They seem a bit pricey, but if they can help, I'm all for them!

My work shoes are more like hikers right now (cold weather) and when the weather gets warmer, I'll probably switch over to more of an athletic-type shoe. Any ideas??? What sort or brand of shoe feels comfy for you? My feet would love to know!

Saturday is my fresh start. I woke up achy from a late night walk last night. I gave myself a lovely foot and sore muscle massage. I RAREly do that I now see the value of that little treat. Cuticles and skin are AALLLL lavished.
Off to cleaning I go!!! Happy Saturday!!! emoticon

Doing well on my end. Only slipped up on Monday, luckily that was the only one.

Weighed myself this morning and Im back up to 174. Just gonna keep pushing through and thinking I might bump up my workouts next week...........

Did you see that article on sparkpeople the other day about: In order to lose weight you need to do cardio 50 mins 5 days a week, plus strength training? Sounds a little bananas to me. But looking at my schedule (working 2 jobs) I can probably swing 4 days a week. I usually do 30 mins of cardio most days.

I'm doing good on the "no crunchy junk food" challenge that I've made to myself. Instead, when I get the urge, I take a large glass of vegetable juice instead and it sure does help me stick to my staying on track. Hopefully, it'll work again today!

And, I haven't watched the new Dallas program. I was a faithful watcher years ago of the original, but I'm usually pooped out by the time I get home from work, so there isn't alot of TV time in our house lately.

I'm waiting for company to show up for dinner I got to track & weigh foods earlier but dinner will not happen but i got lots of cardio in went ot park to pratcie 5K jogged to finish mark for 5K but then there was no way I was going ot be able ot have the energy to jog back ot start to get ot car I walked 43 minutes to jog 5K 65 minutes to walk all the way back to car which was another 3.33 miles then went and did my strength training at gym. I'm done for the day exhausted! emoticon

Don't you think this new Dallas show is better then the original one? I do I am missing JR something is missing without Larry Hagman

Last night while I was vegged out in front of TV while watching Dallas I over indulged with snacking emoticon sad part haven't a clue of what I put in my mouth

Though today much better tracked and way in range and was a cardio day for me 108 minutes worth at gym between treadmill & Arch Trainer

Tomorrow will be a difficult day as we have guest visiting from out of state but I know I will get a workout in calories something else

Actually the one I go to is located in the building I work in. It is a small gym but has all your needs for fitness. Only the employees can use the gym. But it does have 24/7 access as I have been coming on the weekends as well. And Wednesdays I come in super early and get on the treadmill for a good 30 mins before I start work.

Id go later in the day but I know people go there after work and traffic is usually a pain if I leave any later than 3:30pm. So I just down on my breaks, Weds mornings (5:40am), and Friday and Saturday nights for a good hour.

emoticon on your awesome gym time--keep it comin' my friend. Do you belong to a 24/7 type of gym? I belong to one and I wish I could go there later in the evening, but there usually aren't too many people there at that time -- but I'd like to work out on my own, but yet feel like I'm not totally alone. It's a small fitness center that is just getting started, so, hopefully, I can figure out a comfortable time for me to go so I can stick with it and make it part of my daily routine.

I think I need to join you in the No Junk Food rule too. Im usually good, but sometimes co worker bring in stuff and I end up indulging like I did today (krispy kreme raspberry filled doughnut).
I will just have to be stronger and make it a weekly goal. I did figure it into my calories. I just dont want to go over. I need another lose this week, preferably a lb.
I already hit the gym once this morning for 15 mins. So I will be heading back down for another 15 mins.

You're doing great, Linda! I track my food and calories everyday too and I'm usually under the recommended amount, but I think my body is just used to it. My main concern is trying not to grab the junk food when I'm feeling stressed out. I was getting in too much emotional eating these past weeks and I have to try to break that bad habit!!

I have been tracking all of my foods for the pass 8 days (includes today) I'm just tracking if I over on calories I'm okay with that for now just want to be back into that habit and I made it to gym today for cardio & strength training so far so good

Today is Day #2 of my saying NO to Junk Food! And, those temptations are going to be staring me in the face again, as I'll be going into work and my co-workers like to bring in cookies or doughnuts on Sundays! Oh boy.........time to keep that water bottle close and drink instead of just a bite of that tempting cookie!

Great going and you're so right! Changing things a bit in our daily exercise and diet can get us jumpstarted again and it's great to hear that it worked so well for you. I've been thinking of other exercises that I can do also, as I kinda feel like I'm in a rut of sorts -- so great idea and let's see what I can work on this weekend!

Well I have been struggling for months last week I just change this up a bit with diet and exercise it paid off in this week weigh in nOw to continue what I have started I know I will not see a big number like I just did 4.5 pounds but hope to have a pound loss next week

Today one of my projects is to clean the fridge and take a closer look to make sure it's stocked with quick and healthy grab on the go sort of foods. Time to go shopping and fill that cart with those wonderful fruits and veggies that can and do benefit our whole family.

Lately, I've been noticing my hubby has been buying more junk food again and I need to find a way to switch his buying habits to keep those temptations out of the house, as it seems too easy to take a bit of this and bit of that (junk food) and later ask myself why did I do that, as it really seems to drain my energy level and frustrates me totally that I caved in!
