Good morning everyone.Happy Easter Sunday to you all,yesterday was a busy day for me went shopping,do some cleaning and visit some friends,and even get to do some walking,

today DH and I are going to his Brother house for dinner and may visit some more friends after,I also have some ironing to do before and have to bake some chicken for tomorrow and Tuesday that when I come home from work I don't have to do that,hope you all have a great Easter Sunday.

Good morning everyone,had a good day yesterday my interview went very well and I get the job a very nice lady she have Dementia she is very forgetful and she is 77 years and look like 60 years,her daughter is with her at this time and she is leaving on the 27th of this month so anytime after the 27th I will start work,she live in one of those posh assisted living all I will be doing just to watch her take a shower and get dress and see that she have breakfast, take her for a walk and then take her for lunch that all,and the pay is not bad,so I a looking forward to that,

so today I am going to a family Reunion about 60 miles from where I live about 45 mins drive told me that I must bring a covered dish and my own bottle,me and my husband don't drink and I am not going to cook and carry food all the way from here,so my Sister is going to cook because she is much closer to that house and I will bring a bottle of wine,hope you all have a wonderful and great weekend.

Good morning everyone Happy Friday to you all,yesterday I had a good day with my friends and in law,went to bed very late last night and was up very early this morning, so I went to the gym and get my exercise done.I also have my interview today at 11:30 am and then after that I will be going to my Zumba class and later my yoga so it will be a busy day,hope you all have a great day.

Good morning everyone,look like it will be another nice day today,yesterday was very nice and windy,well my doctor visit went very good yesterday only waiting on my lab result hopefully I will get it today or tomorrow.one thing the doctor told me that I don't like is that I do too much exercise for my age and that I should do less.I told her that I have nothing else to do.she told me to do some part time work.
so while I was in the doctor office one of my friend call me so I told her I will call her back when I am through seeing the doctor.so I call her when I get home and you would not believe me she is giving me a job, so I told her I will take it if it's a part time and she said is 5 hours a day Monday through Friday,so I am going for the interview tomorrow.the good think about it is just 4 miles from where I live and my husband agree for me to take it,I am very happy.I am having Family Friends and in law over tonight for dinner,so have to do some shopping this morning,hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning everyone.Happy Hump day,went for my early morning walk and back only walk for one hour,I have a doctor appointment this morning for my Physical so I didn't want to do too much this morning,but I have Yoga class later and I may go to my Zumba class.my dental went very good on Monday the dentist told me that I am doing a very good job on my teeth and I am very happy for that,hope you all have a great day.

Good evening everyone,
Yesterday I worked on getting the utility room and the kitchen back in shape. I am trying to do one room at a time Until the house is clean again. My son asked me if I worked out and I told him yes cleaning house. He said that don't count like lifting weights or running does. I told him yes it does.

Today my husband took our 14 year old out to breakfast. With it cold out today , I decided to cook up some soup. Then I took Robert to his bowling league. While there one of the parents said you want nachos, pretzel with cheese or a candy bar. I told her no but I am getting up to get a diet coke. I wasn't hungry and had already decided to not to buy the greasy snacks.

My son said that he was hungry. I told him that I was sorry but you decided not to eat the soup that I made so you can wait.

After bowling my son was invited to a sleep over, so my husband and I are alone for the night. My ask me after getting back from dropping Robert off, go by sonic and get us a blast here is $10. I told him okay.

Did take our dog for a walk today and played with our three cats.

The last two years has been a roller coaster ride with emotions and eating. Both of my parents have pasted away and has taken me this time to cope with it. Along the way I started feeding the emotions instead of coping with them. I am ready to start losing the 60 pounds and to be able to do things again that were fun. I look forward to talking with each of you and supporting you.

So I didn't get up and do my AM elliptical work out. But when I got home I put my work out clothes on and turned on a walking work out on the cable. It was a 2 mile 25 minute work out that got me sweating. My SAT was on my shoe which is where I normally wear it when working out. It only recorded 638 steps. I know that my 2 mile work out is way more than that in steps. Any idea why this happened? Possibly because there were kicks and knee lifts.

Well regardless I got 25 minutes in today. That is every day this week I have worked out!!! Hooray for me!!

Good morning everyone,Happy April fools Day.yesterday was a good day for me exercise was great and woke up feeling very good,today I have to do some Laundry and some cleaning all the glass door to the Balcony and two closet doors,no gym this morning but will go later in the evening,I also have some in laws coming in today but they are not staying with me but will visit everyday,hope you all have a great day.

Good morning everyone.Happy Monday to you I had a very Quiet day yesterday until in the evening DH ask me to go walking with him so we went walking and walk for 80 minutes,I did not sleep much Saturday night so I did not want to do any exercise yesterday,but the walk was good it was a nice evening,
I went down 2 lbs this morning and very happy about it,last week I tried to do the elliptical everyday and it help me a lot,I am going to do it again this week.today is my Zumba class then later is yoga so it will be a busy day,have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone Happy Sunday to you all.woke up at 2 am and could not go back to sleep,my hubby making so much noise with his Snoring I push him several times and he went back into it.so I lay there with my eyes wide open and listen to him until 5 am I get out of the bed
so today will be a lazy day for me if I can do it I can only be lazy if I don't feel well. or maybe when he wake up I will go back to bed and get some sleep,I have to do my cooking for about Three to Four days for the week that how I do it on Sunday that way I don't have to cook everyday. yesterday we have a big Thunder storm here the sun did not came out all day hope we have a better day today.hope you all have a great Sunday,

Good morning everyone.Happy Friday to you. my headache went away yesterday after i went back to sleep and woke up I went to the gym get my exercise done.I also get a good night sleep and woke up very early this morning ,so I went to the gym get my workout done and back.today is cleaning day with some shopping too.and tonight is bingo night some friends coming over to play bingo with me so yesterday I make some no bake almond chocolate bars and they came out very good hubby fall in love with them.as long as he don't eat all of them.they are not too sweet so I don't think he will.hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Finally got back to the elliptical last night. Today is day 2...got up at 4 AM and did another 20. Wow it is amazing how giving it up for a period of time and all the endurance you built up is gone.....starting over!!!

Good morning everyone,I had a wonderful day yesterday even tho it was raining it did not stop me from doing what I want to do,I woke up with pain in my Knee this morning,I am making a great progress with my weight and inches I can feel the difference in my clothes, yesterday morning I forget to weigh my self so I am going to wait until next Monday,I went to the gym and get my walking done also do some elliptical and jumping jacks,even tho my knee was hurting but not bad enough to stop me from doing my exercise,
today is Zumba again I am looking forward to that because I love doing Zumba and I like this lady that teach the class she is very good at it,hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning everyone,I am back home we had a good time in the Keys, lots of walking around and we also do some fishing and get lot's of fish,came in tired yesterday evening very tired went to bed and just woke up so I get a good sleep last night,
today plenty to do have to go to the fruit market to get some vegetable and fruits,also shopping at Sam's then do some Laundry and hopefully get to the gym later,have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

I just finished my first walking 5K Wednesday. I worked up to it using the Couch to 5K team and am very pleased with myself. My goal is to Walk/Run the Prefontaine 10K in September under 2 hours. I am hoping this team will help me stay accountable.

Goooood Morning Everyone!
Wow it is tough to get back into the habit of the elliptical. Today is my second day back. I'm doing 30 minutes and it's all I can do to complete it. Puts things into perspective. I use to be able to do 60-90 minutes on it no problem and although I am doing other exercises, I haven't been faithful on my cardio, hence....I can barely finish the 30 minutes! So I am aiming for 30 minutes every day this week. Have a greatly blessed day!

Good morning everyone,woke up very early this morning getting things together for the two day trip to the Keys,I think it will be a two day of fun is four of us going and my hubby is going to drive we will be back on Thursday,

Hi everyone Happy St Patrick's day,I had a good day yesterday did more exercise than what I log in,woke up this morning with my legs sore but I still went to the gym and get my walking and Strength Training done,why my legs is sore sore yesterday evening it was so nice out I decide to go for a short walk I end up walking 30 blocks I could not believe I just keep walking and walking until I decide to turn back,I am happy that I did it,
today will be a busy day Laundry to do some cleaning and cooking having some in law over for lunch today,also yoga class later in the evening,have to keep busy,
I just found out that a man that use to workout in the gym with me Kill himself Friday his wife came home and found him dead, he was a very nice man I don't know people have to do that to them self he died leaving three small kids age from 10 to 2 years,I am keeping the family in my prayers,have a great day every and a wonderful week.

Good morning everyone,and Happy Sunday to you all,I am back home came in last night,the week was very good with friends get plenty of exercise in, much more than what I log in and my eating was very good,I stay on track very well,so when I weigh my self this morning I was down one pound can't believe it but very happy about it,

So I was sick yesterday - a virus or something. But only lasted for 1 day. Ended up not working out yesterday. But what's worse, I am not working out today either and I'm feeling a bit guilted over it. However, I worked out the day before yesterday and it just felt like I was dragging during my cardio.

My workout is 30 minutes strength/abs and 30-35 minutes elliptical. This is 3 times a week with a friend. Sometimes I go to the gym on 2 other days during the week for 30-40 minutes strength and 45-60 minutes treadmill (power walking).

Back to it tomorrow.

Why choose failure when success is an option?
If you want to change your body, you must first change your mind.

Good morning everyone, I am happy to say my weight went down 2.5 pounds and I am happy,we have a cool morning here so I will be going to the gym instead of walking on the beach before I leave, I will be away for a week won't be back until next weekend, but I will check in when I can,I will still get to do my walking and I am taking my Hula Hoop with me,my eating plan will change but I will try and do my best to stay on a healthy plan,when you have to eat out it's so different from eating home,yesterday I did not get to post my daily eating plan because it was a busy day also my exercise for the day, my eating was the same and I did get to do my exercise, that why I like to do my exercise in the morning you never know what will happen during the day then you don't get to do it,
so I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend,and make it a healthy one.

Happy Friday everyone!
So far this week I flopped on Tuesday - I did not work out and instead drank a few beers and ate an entire pint of icecream.. by myself! :( Other than that I did great sticking towards the lower end of my calorie range and working out, and since I drank on Tuesday I decided to give up drinking for lent to give me a boost to my goal of drinking less! I am working on improving my running ability and have been diligent with getting out and running. I am happy with my progress in the exercise department and with my improvement in will power to not overdo it on calories most days. Before I was doing ok-ish during the week then completely losing it from Friday to Sunday just to start the cycle again Mon-Thurs, so I can be happy with only flopping one day instead of 3 (or more).

Good morning everyone, went for my walk and back,walk/jog on the beach for one hour,25 Squats,30 jumping jacks,stop in the gym and do 15 mins Strength Training,and feeling great, last night I get some surprise visit from some long time friends,it's a long time we don't see each other so it was a surprise for me,we talk and laugh until after 11 pm, not much doing today so I can get things together for next week we are leaving on Saturday,
I am doing very good with my eating and exercise, I can see a lot of progress with my body,DH doctor visit was very good yesterday,the doctor told him to keep doing what he is doing very happy for that, all he needs now is to get his back fix,hope you all have a great day.

Hi everyone good morning,I woke up tired this morning even tho I went to bed early last night, I had a good day yesterday at the Picnic it was fun,we jump rope, Hula Hoop, play ball, dance to Greek music and then walk on the beach for a short time,they have it in the park close to the beach,
today I have Laundry and my Kitchen to clean,also have to go to Costco to get a few things in the evening,next week I am going away maybe for a week not sure how long as yet maybe less than a week, I did not do much spark yesterday so I have to make up for it today, my walking today will be on the beach,hope you all have a great day.

I am on track so far this weekend - which is the first weekend in a long time that I've been on track! I ended up skipping the work out Friday, but I went to the gym yesterday for an hour and I am going on at least a 5 mile walk later today. I'm very excited to finish a full week not going way off track on calories so I can settle back into weight loss mode and out of 'do great Mon-thursday then eat all of the calories back fri-sunday' mode.

I did 60 minutes at 4mph on the treadmill yesterday at the gym and will do at minimum that much today - would like to do at least 15 min more but sometimes I get so bored emoticon that I can't wait for it to end - have to give myself credit for the 60 min or I won't want to do it at all... I may try spinning or something this week - I'm afraid I'll croak doing it but it makes sense to at least try it....I want to try to vary things a little just to keep it a little interesting... emoticon

I love the NROL program - I definitely see muscles and I am stronger - when I first started, I hated push ups - they really hard - I do the guy pushups - I kept saying, 'can't wait till I say, I like these" Now, I am doing more and more and not hating - not loving but it's no big deal now when I have to do them. I've been doing this since about the 10th of Jan and missing a day every week due to cold and or flu and or vacation, etc. It looks like I'll finally be able to complete a full week this week which sadly was my goal, LOL. But I also do such a variety of other workouts that I don't stress missing anything - I do so many workouts every week, I don't worry about it. I sent you a long email.

Good morning everyone! I ended up skipping the walk yesterday and instead going 3.25 miles between the elliptical and the treadmill. I was pretty happy with that since I hadn't intended on doing much. I passed on the glass of wine that was calling my name too and had a cup of herbal tea instead. Overall a good day yesterday.

I don't have too much to do today so I'm taking the kids to the pool in a few minutes, picking up around the house and maybe I'll do a dvd workout today since I've been to the gym 3 times already this week and plan to go to the gym tomorrow; I don't want to bore myself!

Hey all,

Yesterday I tried the Curvy 'Green' treadmill at the gym - honestly not a huge fan.

Curvy treadmill: 40 minutes
Regular treadmill: 20 min at 4mph.

Today I did:
Regular treadmill: 65 min at 4mph.

Tomorrow I am going to try a Cardio Mix class.

Hi everyone! Brand new to the team as of this second!

Wanted to let you all know I shared a picture of Jim and I on my blog - I talk about him a lot and refer to his height, so you can see what I mean

Just finished lifting weights from the New Rules of Lifting for Women program , now I'm figuring out my next workout which involves the Stronger Curves workout and a Womens Strength Training book. All 3 of these are books, I've put together what I want to try and I'm seeing results!

today is going to be a strength training day for me...i'm gonna hit the weights and try to keep my diet in check...my workouts really make me hungry due to their intensity i just feel it...i'm gonna try to keep the carbs low and the protein up staying in my range all while trying to eat as clean as possible. Later i'll tackle chores, kids and finish some school work...i like my evening workouts too i feel that i get a better nights sleep when i do.

Good morning everyone! I woke up at the ridiculous time of 4 am today because my 3 year old, and have not been able to fall back asleep so it'll be a long day today! I plan on going for a walk this evening after my husband gets home from work (I know I know I could have been to the gym and back already this morning but I'm an evening work out kind of girl). I ran plus strength training yesterday and Monday so today I am going to just take an easy walk today to give my body a little rest.

Good morning everyone,Happy Hump day,I had a busy day yesterday did some house work went to visit a friend,today will finish my cleaning,just get back from the gym now i am going to have some tea and then my smoothie for my breakfast,hope you all have a great day.

Living a Healthy and Active Life style, Reach my Goal and very Happy with my Body,my eating habits,Fresh Fruits, Lot's of Green vegetables,drink 8 To 10 glasses of water daily.

Hi All,

I'm Ann - I'm new to this board and am hoping that by sharing, I can draw from others experience and be more accountable to myself.

Tuesday Feb 24:
Walked: 4 miles
Pace: 4mph

I want to try this new (new to me) treadmill at the gym - kind of curvy looking...I guess it is a good workout because whenever I see people on it they seem to be sweating up a storm... Anyway want to try something a little different because variety is the spice...;). Will try 15-30 min on it today.

In working toward my goals, I've been using my lunch break to work out on stationary bike, treadmill, and elliptical, alternating machines daily. It's a great substitute to get through these harsh winter months.
