That is very interesting. I am going to check them out Syndibee.. The Fitlinxx is what I used at theYMCA. It kept up with all the machines and everything which the Fitbit does not do. I have not been to the YMCA since my accident so I do not know if it will or not.

Is your Spark Tracker like the Fitlinxx Tracker? I am so sorry about you little pet. We had to have our little Poodle put down 10 years ago and I still do not have one to replace her. She was 19 years old and that is a long life for a Poodle. They just become a part of you. Hope you will be alright soon. Bless You.

I like my spark activity tracker.
I can see hour by hour my activity levels and my daily results. It doesn't count the calories and water but I wouldn't input that information anyways.

I don't know if I'm going to get my steps in today.
I had to have my dog euthanized today and I'm having a hard time working out of my funk.

Siple Sally, I personally prefer the Fitbit One. It racks, Steps, Stairs, Calories burned and consumed, Miles, Minutes, and Water consumption, You pay a small fee per year and it runs everything right in to your Spark People. Some of the other people may give you an opinion about the other one and I will be watching to see what they say about it. I want to know too.

Went to my orthopedic dr today. I got a good result. I still have to wear my moon boot, and cant do extra walking or cycling. However I start physical and occupational therapy on left ankle. and will be assigned exercises then. i cant wait. Thinking about getting the spark pedometer. Any opinons on that? I would like to hear ■he pros and cons. I still can do the arepnic chair exercises.

Hurray I did it. I walked one mile outside on a nearby cemetary lot even with my prthopedic moon boot on. thats the farthest I walked with that on since I injured my left ankle three weeks ago.

I am going to my first ever yoga class tomorrow with my best friend. I'm excited and nervous because I have no clue what I am doing and I don't like going to classes clueless lol.

Today I only have 3K steps in sofar....I will need the treadmill this evening because I was very inactive today. I went to a friends and we worked on crafts. It was a great social outlet but not active lol.

I understand that struggle.
I've been trying to adopt a healthy lifestyle for a few years now, on and off.

OK, I'm back after my time outside.
I did not walk with the dog.
I feel bad, but I hate walking with my dog...
We did gardening instead.
My dog was able to sniff to his hearts content
and I was able to rake, dig, cut, and plan...

I decided I'm going to start my healthy eating starting this evening.
I've been putting it off because of the planning it entails.
I found 2 new recipes to try out tonight.
One a simple cauliflower crust grilled cheese,
the second a chocolate/chia mousse (pudding...what's the difference??).
Both very simple recipes and I have the cauliflower crust baking as I type.

I found a wonderful blog which I am going to start perusing recipes on: http://www.theironyou.com/

I'm continuing my 10,350 steps per day which includes at least 10 min's "fitness walking"

It is a gorgeous day out today!!!!
Going to take advantage of some outdoor walking with the dog.
Unfortunately my tracker will not count this as exercise because
I have a hard time keeping my dog moving, He just HAS to stop and sniff.

TCANNO; Nice job on the 5K virtual race :) I used to run in 5K's a few years ago and loved them. I don't run anymore but do enjoy getting the distance in walking.

JENFROG: 5 minutes at a time is perfectly fine. That elliptical is grueling, I don't think I could do more than 5 minutes at a time either. I love my treadmill lol.

BLESSINGS: Your posts are always so wonderful and positive. I'm not losing weight at this time though I really should lol. Hoping for better results for you in March.

Today was 1 hr on the treadmill.
Was a rather sedentary day so even with my hour I still don't have my 10K steps in. Gotta go back on for another 10 minutes after my son's homework then bedtime.

very sad. I wore my tracker on my waist today and it only tracked 3500 steps. I know I was extremely busy alone in the kitchen at work today. I missed at least half of my steps. Ah so it goes.

Completed my steps, got an extra 30 min's on the treadmill.

School was cancelled again today due to weather.
I do love having my son home but boy I don't want him to have to give up ALL his vacation times for make up days.

I only got 6,000 steps sofar.
Got a movie ready to watch later on the treadmill :)

I really should start doing my videos again.
Think I'm going to put that off another week and start doing one video on Tuesdays.

The weather cleared, so I made it to the gym emoticon I tricked my muscles today with 60 min on the eliptical and 20 min on the treadmill! emoticon

soooo, I couldn't make myself stay on the exercise bike and read. Was enjoying the book but not pedaling while reading it.
I got 16 minutes in on the bike then I moved to the treadmill. I can't read on the treadmill so I picked a 90 minute movie to watch and watched it instead.

So I got 106 minutes in between the two, though I didn't get much reading done. Reading is just one of those things I only enjoy while being idle.

10KSTEPKEP: thanks for joining us. Often on my days off I wait until the day is half over before I start. On work days I work from 4am-2pm so I really enjoy the slow start days!!!

I ended up walking 50 min's on the treadmill yesterday and got in 14,400 steps emoticon
Going to try to ride my exercise bike for 2 hrs today while I read....after a lazy morning though.

Stamina, you are really getting the minutes in!!! YOU, my friend, are also an inspiration :)

emoticon This cold is making it hard for me to keep moving!!! Ready for some emoticon

I got 8K steps at work today so only need to do 20 minutes on the treadmill this evening.
Tomorrow is a day off and I'm looking forward to a mostly lazy day but I will still do all my steps :)

I did 84 min of exercise, an all time high for me! emoticon (40 min treadmill, followed by 20 min elliptical, followed by 24 min treadmill)!! emoticon

Not really feeling better.
Been dragging all week, can't get rested but won't let it keep me from getting my steps in. Missing one day was more than I wanted.

Today I got 7K steps at work and a 17 minute continuous exercise event. Need to walk about 30 min's on the treadmill this evening, after a nap.

Yesterday, I did two 40 minute sessions on the treadmill just to get my 10K steps in.
Today was back to work. Did 6K steps at work and need to do 4K more later. Will be doing 40 minutes on the treadmill right after I get my grand daughter to bed.

our roads aren't icy yet but it is coming.
I did 50 min's on the treadmill today but as it's a day off I have to force myself to walk enough.
Still only at 8,000 steps.
I'll have to do another 20 min's later on.

I agree, the elliptical gives you a killer work out. I don't have one at home thus don't use it. I may look for one used. We have a room in our house that we very seldom use so I can fill it up with gym equipment.
Got 7,000 steps in at work today.
After a hard week of 45 hrs I'm so ready for a day off tomorrow.
Gotta get 30 min's on either the exercise bike or treadmill soon. Going to watch my tv show and just enjoy moving muscles without thought.

The best thing about this particular thread of accountability..... is conversation. I'm not just tracking, but I'm also getting to know some great people.... Thanks you all, THIS community is what encourages me!!! emoticon emoticon

I just looked at my tracker details and I got 34 fitness minutes at work today. I NEVER get fitness minutes at work because I always have to stop and do SOMETHING that makes my counter stop.....

I work fast food. I must have been able to pack orders for 30 minutes today lol... My favorite thing to do and the one thing I very seldom get to do.

I started a month ago walking 20 minutes each day on the treadmill averaging 3 mph. I have been gradually increasing minutes and speed. Today I did 28 minutes averaging 3.2 mph.

Wise choices each day will get me where I want to be.
