I listen to Serena Willams interval training on my ipod, the music keeps me amp and Serena lets me know when to increase and decrease my speed. when i increase my speed i,m running at 4-5 miles a hour until i,m told to take a break at that point i go back to 2 when i,m real tired and sometimes three this goes on for 30 minutes then she says thanks for working out with me so long emoticon

I start at 3.2 mph - 0 incline for 1 minute then increase the incline by 1 after each minute - thus after 15 minutes I am at an incline of 15 - then do 1 full minute there - then decrease the same way - 1 incline down after each minute.

You get a good 30 minute work out this way. Really gets the heart rate up

Let me know how if goes.

NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels

I'm wondering if any of you either have favorite preset workouts on the treadmill or any fun ways to spice up your treadmill workout in order to rev up your heartrate, shock your metabolism, or just make things interesting?

My normal routine is to walk at a pace of 3.5mph at an incline of at least 5% but usually 10%. I find I'm having a harder time getting my HR up so I started amping up the speed and jogging for as long as I could and then slowing it back down and/or I found I like to do what I think is called "siddles" where I turn sideways and shuffle for as long as I can.

During my cool down I sometimes like to stretch my legs by making my stride as long as possible or I might do a treadmill version on walking lunges where I'll drop my back knee low.

Any thoughts or other ideas?

Thanks!
