I have heard that interval training is good to "keep your body guessing". I like to vary speeds on the treadmill. Start with a warm up for 3 min, jog for 5 min, run for 8 min, jog again for 5 min, run again for 8 ... etc. I have been using the "5k challenge" feature on my treadmill lately just to get used to running for longer without stopping. I like to use a slight incline for added intensity. I do 24-26 miles a week. I seem to have hit a plateau though, so I might need to change it up or something. Maybe I've gotten used to the routine. It was hard to start regularly exercising and now I can't let go of my routine!
