Ash, I am slowly coming to understand that. I have made the mistake of wanting to go whole hog and when that doesn't work, I quit. I can't do that any more. I need to be a tortoise - slow and steady.

Never mind the year, I am now concentrating on the week. This week, I need to read a report and send comments to the author, prepare for two Bible study (on line and actual), take care of some insurance calls, and cull and clean a closet.

Nice to see so many checking in and looking forward to a healthier and happier year.

My goals for the year are to lose the 6 pounds I gained this year but even more, I want to concentrate on adding more joy in my life. I need to enjoy and be with my friends more, work on my hobbies, and get back to the little projects that would give me a sense of satisfaction.

My goal starting today is to change my life by eating healthier and adding exercise 3 to 5 days per week. I've set mini goals to help me along the way: exercise 3 to 5 days per week, drink at least 8 glasses of water daily, make healthy food choices and to lose 8 to 10 pounds per month. My overall goal is to lose 95 pounds, and I'd like to do this by January 1, 2014. I know if I stay focused, make the healthy choices and exercise, I WILL achieve this goal.

I know we can all reach our goals if we put our minds to it and stay focused. I will be there to support you if you do the same for me!
