I took off work tomorrow & we are leaving for a motorcycle trip in the morning. This will be the last of the Cannon Run stops. We wont be coming back until Sunday. I will do my best to try to maintain but I may drink some calories more than usual.

Morning all. I'm off on an excursion today. Friends are taking me up into KY to look at a golf cart I'm planning to buy. I want the golf cart to run around my little gated community. A fun road trip for us all.

Morning team. Got my groceries yesterday and got the camper ready. Didn't find much suitable fruit at my regular store so after supper, we went for our usual Wednesday evening ice cream at a local grocer and got some fruit there. It is now in the camper ready for me to cut up. DH is all ready to go this afternoon. He needs to fill it with water and take the generator. We probably won't need it but it's good to have along just in case.

Tonight is the start of our community's fireman's carnival. There is a parade at 7pm to kick it off. I will probably go watch it then get something to eat, turn in my chances and come home.

Woke up this morning thinking it was Friday, but then I realized DH was here and if it were Friday, he wouldn't be cause he'd be camping. I think it's going to be a long 2 days at work.

Donna, the challenge sounds like fun. Motivation to stay on your plan.

I have an invitation to join a group of people who meet every Wednesday evening for dinner at different restaurants. It will give me an opportunity to meet some new people. Should be fun.

Morning team. Late getting on here today. I was busy getting ham, green beans, and potatoes in the crock pot for supper. No added salt as the ham is old fashioned salt ham. DH loves it as it is what he grew up on. I can eat it if it is in something like this dish but not alone. Way too salty for my liking.

I lost ..2 at TOPS last night. Not much but a loss is a loss. New contest starting next week called "Stay on the ball". There will be a big ball brought in and you pay $2 to participate. Your name gets put on a piece of paper and glued to the ball. Then each week you must lose or stay the same to stay on the ball. If you gain your name comes off. It will run for 6 weeks and 5 weigh ins as we don't weigh in one week because of the upcoming fair. I will be participating.

After work today it's off to the grocery store then home to get the camper ready. DH will take it tomorrow afternoon while I am at work, then come back to pick me up Friday after work.

TTFN. Have a great day

Morning team. More rain yesterday afternoon and evening. Grey and cold today, only in the low 60s for a high. Where did my summer go? Sure isn't the temps we should be having in July. Jackets, sweaters and July should not have to be used in the same sentence. I sure do want my warm weather back.

Staff meeting this morning before work then TOPS tonight. Scale looks ok, though no where near where I'd like it. You never know about the TOPS scale though.

Good Monday Morning! I have the day at home until 4 this afternoon when I have a book club meeting. I hope to get just a few little chores done. I need to prune some plants outside and am going to do a general pick up through the house. It is much cooler after the storms last night. Beautiful lightening show.

Morning team. What a quick weekend that was. Back to work already?

Saturday's parade went well. We wound up with 30 tractors, one wagon with 13 riders, and 2 bikes for our group. The weather was nice. Some complained it was hot but they are the ones that complain about everything. Could have been worse. 2 years ago we all got soaked. No rain this year.

Yesterday DH went down to work on the car while I went to church. Afterwards I went to Perkin's to eat and opted for their new smokehouse grilled bbq chicken salad. It was yummy. The only downfall was that it was supposed to have bacon on it and mine didn't. I let the waiter know, guess I didn't need it but it was still good. I brought some home and had it for supper. After I had eaten, I went over to Walmart for some feet and seat. Our Women's Guild at church collects socks and underwear for school age children in the area through the month of August and Walmart had them on sale. Picked myself up a shirt on clearance too. I then made a stop into Party City then went to the mall and looked around. Didn't buy a thing there.

Had a nasty t-storm roll through last evening. Didn't get as bad here as in other places but I still don't like all that wind. A house about 20 miles away got hit by lightening and burned, plus there was some flooding. Our satellite went out for about 20 minutes.

After work tonight I have 2 meetings, both at the same place. The first is a board meeting, the second a regular monthly meeting.

It is a beautiful day here. Im loving the Sun after days of rain. Yesterday was a good day. I got one project finished, ran several errands, and picked up some groceries.

Pam, I will keep you in my prayers on Tuesday.

Donna, I hope the rain lets up for the parade.

Everyone have a great weekend.

The last couple days I stayed the same weight but weighed myself this morning & WHOOSH! I was only .2lbs away from my goal but now am 1.6lbs. below my goal. I am not complaining & will take it. Now its time to maintain.

This is going to be a Great Day! Below my goal, go visit family & friends out of town, some girl time & retail therapy. Sure beats the crappy day I had yesterday.

Morning team. Raining this morning and 62. Sure hope the rain goes away till this afternoon. I work till noon then we are meeting one of our tractor clubs at 2pm to line up for a parade. We are not taking a tractor this year as our trailer is being used by our SIL so no way to haul it. If I know this group there will be plenty others to take our place. We will ride on the wagon through the parade. Two years ago, the last they had the parade because of road construction, it poured rain and we all got soaked. Sure hope that doesn't happen today.
Guess I should think about taking extra clothes along, just in case.

DOWN .4 lbs at TOPS! 15th consecutive week of removing weight! Awesome, since I am extremely limited on activity. Major surgery is this Tuesday....

EARNIE, that is so sweet of you to help your neighbor out! I am sure she really appreciates it. I am not medically allowed to drive, so I know how it is to be "grounded". My hubs has to take me wherever I need to go...Loving each other=actions for each other!

Morning team. I did pretty well yesterday with controlling what I ate until after supper. DH wanted to go for ice cream. I really didn't want to but he seemed disappointed to we went. I did opt for just a baby size cup though. I had planned on DH dropping me off at some point on the way home then I would walk the rest of the way but that didn't happen either. Till we were headed back it was nearing 7:30 and getting chilly so I talked myself out of it. Maybe tonight I can get out for a short walk. I've already logged in the food I plan to eat today and am below calorie range by a couple of calories thanks to extra veggies and fruit.

It's pretty cold for July here. Only in the upper 40s. Brrr! Getting up into the upper 70s though later with no humidity. That's nice.

TTFN and TGIF

Earnie-How thoughtful of you to care for your neighbor and take her places. The world would be a better place if more people did that.

Sorry I have been missing lately. My 83 year old neighbor is home from the hospital but is still not allowed to drive or go up steps so I'm trying to do what I can to help her. I'm making sure she has groceries or prepared food, pick up her mail, and drive her to the doctor. She is a delightful friend and always so upbeat and wants to be active.

I have said it before, but I do believe my life is settling down and I am beginning to hack away at those To Do lists. Yes multiple lists. I need to put them all together into one list. We had a beautiful day today and I am so thankful for the Sun and warmth.

Morning team. Work went by quickly yesterday as we had things to take care of in a short time. Got my hair cut after work then went to Walmart, Five Below and Target. I was going to go to Lowe's and return something DH had bought but I forgot to bring it along so it's still sitting by the door.

Texas Roadhouse was yummy. I had a coupon for a free appetizer and of course I got the cactus blossom. Yes I shared with whomever wanted any. Ordered the steak and shrimp combo with a salad and loaded baked potato. Brought half of my steak and potato home. Cut half of the steak up into my salad for lunch today, I'll do the same for either lunch or supper tomorrow. I'm having the other half of the potato for supper tonight. Pairing that with a grilled pork chop. 3 meals from one, pretty good.

Today is day 1 of getting back on track from all this eating. I really feel yucky with this extra weight and some of my clothes are getting tight. Have to start moving more too.

Gotta run. TTFN

Donna- Thats where we went to eat when we were celebrating on Sunday. I love Texas Roadhouse! I had the Portabella Mushroom Chicken. If you like mushrooms, it was very good with cheese & parmesan on a chicken breast. I gained weight because I also love their bread & butter plus we had an onion blossom. Morning team. Guess I haven't posted in a while. Where does the time go?

I am supposed to be off today but I switched it and had yesterday off so that DH and I could go on a bus trip. We went to Lancaster, PA to a theater to see Moses. It's a play, but they do all Bible stories in this theater. They use live animals and all sorts of special effect like making fabric look like a river and the Red Sea, turning a Sheppard's staff into a snake then back into the staff, etc. It's really awesome how they put it all together. Had tears in my eyes. If you are in the area and get a chance, Moses is running till April 2015. After the show we went to eat at Shady Maple Smorgasbord. It was fantastic but so much food. Of course I overate and felt crappy. I really have to get a handle on it and get some weight off.

After work I get my haircut, then I need to go to Lowe's to return something for DH, and to Walmart before meeting everyone from work at Texas Roadhouse for a celebration. We get to do this for meeting our goal from one of our loan promotions. I think I will wait to go to the grocery store till after we are done there as I want to get some frozen stuff and it's to be 88 and humid today.

Better go. TTFN

Yes I had fun swerving around cones all weekend. I took a motorcycle safety course & then tested for my endorsement. I passed my test so we went out to eat to celebrate. Now I gained 1/2 a pound back but thats ok. I kinda expected it. Back to the normal routine this week & hopefully I will lose another pound.

Have a great monday!

Up and ready for Church. I am down one pound this morning but have an invitation out for dinner tonight. While I know the host is serving a vegetable curry, I don't know what else she is serving so I need to be careful about eating. Maybe I can pretend I am a very light eater. Not.

Morning all. Another rainy day here on the mountain. Im up, dressed, hair and make up done, having coffee and planning out my day. Mostly home chores, but a friend and neighbor is in the hospital so will want to visit her. If the rain lets up, may try to get another friend who broke his hip out of the house for a lunch with friends. He is stir crazy being cooped up in the house. We have tried to visit and take goodies, but I remember how getting out of the house was a real boost.

MnGirl, have fun with those curves, cups, and swerving!

Morning team. I'm at work this morning till noon then it's back to camp. Had a good sleep last night and was sleeping soundly when the alarm went off. It's cloudy this morning but hoping they will clear by the time I get back to camp.

Tomorrow DH is going down to work on the classic car. I will deliver all the DGDs home sometime in the afternoon. Not sure how the camper will get home. It will either sit there till Monday when DH can get it or our SIL will come and tow it to the house tomorrow.

I am only 2lbs. away from my next goal. Slow & steady it goes but I will get there.

I will be going to practice swerving around cups on my motorcycle today. Need some practice for my test.

Morning team. Feeling really tired today. This is our long day at work too so thinking more coffee is in order.

We went to Red Lobster last night to pick up DGD. They have crabfest going on right now and that's what my DIL and I had. Mmmm, so good. I will take DGD to work with me while DH takes an Amish friend to his job site. Then DH will stop and pick up DGD on the way to pick up our other two DGDs that are going camping with us. They will take the camper back sometime this afternoon and I'll join them this evening.

I'll come home early tomorrow morning as I have to work tomorrow.

Good morning ladies. I didn't sleep well last night. Too much going on in my head. I have pilates class this morning and will stop by the hospital to check on my friend after that. Afternoon at home catching up on things.

Pam thanks for the prayers for Amber and for my friend. Much appreciated.

Morning team. Got my errands run yesterday and by the time I got home, DH already had half the yard mowed. Didn't expect him to be home but the materials weren't in for the job he and his Amish friend were going to do so he isn't working this week. Probably next.

We are getting one DGD tonight to stay for the weekend. We are meeting her and her parents at Red Lobster. Then tomorrow we will get 2 more DGDs for the weekend. DH will take the camper back sometime tomorrow as well.

It is still early in the day, but I have had a full and good day and some sad news. I visited my lawyer this morning to renew my will. That has been one of those things on my list of things I needed to accomplish. That should be ready in a week for me to go back and sign. Next I met my best friend, her husband and another friend for lunch. My friends husband and his buddy are going to find and refurbish a gold cart for me to purchase and run around our little gated community. I can use it to run to the club houses or the pool, etc. After that, my friend came back to my house and we made Ina Gartens mushroom soup. We both love to cook. The sad news was that my 83 year old friend and neighbor has gone for an MRI and ultra sound on her right leg. The doctor thinks she may have more blood clots. I am waiting to hear the results now.

Donna- I am sorry you gained a pound at your weigh at TOPS. I hope that your efforts to stay on track this week will see the scale get back on track.

MNGIRL73- Sorry the rainclouds couldn't wait for you to finish your walk, but great on you for walking despite the chance for rain. Keep it up, you are doing great!

Pam- I am glad you got right back on track after your hiccup earlier this week. Never let the slips turn into slides. You got this, you can do it! Also a big congratulations on losing more weight again this week. You are doing amazing.

Earnie- I hope the weather is good for you and that you get some time to slow down and recharge and relax. You are so busy, keep making time for yourself- like those massages. You have to balance the activity with some recharging.

It has been busy and hectic here. We still haven't heard from the hospital about a date for my fiance's surgery, if we don't hear anything by the middle of next week we have to let them know. My stomach gets in knots when I think about his upcoming surgery, so I try to not think about it too much. I just want him to get through it and the recovery. He is continuing to lose weight and so I am. He has been really good on making better eating choices and increasing his workouts. I am so proud of him.

I want to wish all of you a wonderful week. Be kind to your body and yourself. Make good choices, but don't worry about perfection. Progress and not perfection is what matters.

Morning team. Well I gained 1 pound at TOPS last night. Not the direction I need to go in. I really need to buckle down and get this weight off as I am again nearing the top of my leeway.

I'm supposed to be off work today but I'm going in for 3 hours to make up some time I'm taking off next Tuesday for a bus trip. After work I have to go to Target, Walmart, and the grocery store, then home to get things in the camper and maybe mow yard if it isn't raining. Right now the sun is shining but they are saying there might be a stray shower this afternoon. Hope not, we need to dry out a little.

DH is working with one of his Amish friends today and tomorrow. He was going to work Friday as well but forgot that we are going to have DGDs starting Thursday night so he can't work.

Morning team. Rain again yesterday. Between Sunday's storms and yesterday we've had about 1.5 inches. Raining this morning a little.

Work yesterday was painfully slow. Thought the day would never end. After supper last night DH and I went down to the parsonage to move 2 couches, a desk, a lamp and a stand out to get ready for the new preacher moving in on Friday. She will start August 1. We have been without a full time preacher since last August.

TOPS tonight.

TTFN

Does anyone know what's up with the flags not being there on my start page? This is the second day I haven't been able to give the team extra points.

Pam, your attitude to that little binge is great! You are so right. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again. Congrats on the 1.2lbs! Fantastic journey you are having.

REMOVED 1.2 LBS at my TOPS weigh in yesterday!!! 13 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS OF REMOVING WEIGHT!!! I have 16 lbs left to remove! I started at 195.8 and have removed 20.8 lbs since March 1st on this repeat journey to my KOPS goal weight. It is good to celebrate the weight I have removed so far!

HELP SPARK FRIENDS! I "fell off the wagon" and BINGE ATE last night...13 weeks I had eaten according to my planners-NO BINGES- and now today is DAY 1. Truthfully I suspect if I was not a Spark member, I would be Binge eating today. Some of what my Spark Friends have taught me: 1) not to be "afraid or embarrassed" to tell you all the truth about my binge behavior; 2) to STOP the binge as quickly as possible; 3) to NOT Beat Myself up over this "slip" (hard for me!) 4) NOT to 'AWFUL-LIZE my slip and make it a bigger "issue"; 5) "Hey, I am okay!" I reviewed and celebrated my total success-this is just ONE incident in ONE day. 6) I am moving FORWARD! Mentally, Physically and Emotionally!

THANK YOU SPARKERS!!!!!!!

Morning team. We dodged another severe storm yesterday. It passed just south of us. The mountain did it's job again. This storm had hail and torrential rains with it.

I got the camper done and a double batch of brownies baked last night. Took a few last minute things out this morning. DH will take me to work then pick me up with the camper in tow this evening. That will save 15 to 20 minutes.

Talked to my sister. She should be at the hospital right now getting prepped for her ankle surgery. She said that if they can get to the cyst laporoscopically (s?) it will be better but if not, they will have to slice the inside ball of her ankle to get at it then put it back together with screws. She is to call me this afternoon or tonight and let me know how it went. She should not have to stay in the hospital, it's only out-patient. Either way they do the surgery it will be 6 weeks before she can put weight on it.

Better get busy. TTFN and TGIF

Morning team. Cooler here this morning, only 59. It will warm up later after the fog burns off. Headed to 79 and low humidity.

Got my groceries yesterday and some things at Staples as I had $32 in rebates to use by the end of this month. Also went to Walmart for some prizes for TOPS for the first 3 months of the summer walking program. Not everyone participated but the top 5 walkers will get a water bottle, the rest will get a ribbon for whatever they walked. BTW, I am in the top 5. We will continue with it through September.

I have to be at work early today for a webinar. TTFN

Morning team. Had storms roll through last night. Not too severe where I'm at but parts of PA had some damage. Thankfully our house is protected by a mountain so unless the storm goes straight down the valley, we don't (knock on wood) have much damage. A few small limbs are down but nothing major.

I lost 0.4 at TOPS last night. Glad to see that after 2 weeks of gaining. Lets see how far I can take it.

Today I work till 1pm then it's off to the grocery store to get things for the weekend. DH is going down to work on the antique car. Sure wish they would get it done.

Had a strange thing happen to the car last night. I got home and pulled the car into the garage. Opened the back door to get something out and it didn't shut all the way so I opened it back off and the alarm went off. Could not get it to shut off. I tried starting the car, pushing the panic button on the remote, nothing worked. I went up and got DH and by the time he got down there it quit. Weird. Dumb computers.

Talk about fluctuation in weight. I maintained friday-saturday. Sunday I lost almost 1lb. & Monday I was up 1.5lbs. Today only down .2. Talk about frustrating. I know I didnt eat over 3,500 calories on the salad buffet Sunday.

Morning team. Got stuff put back away in the camper last night while DH went up the road and finished a job he was doing for a neighbor. Not much else got done.

FB chatted with my sister. Her daughter that just went into the Army has been medically released because of panic attacks. She can re-enlist after she is cleared from doctor's but that may take a while. She should be home in a couple of weeks. Don't know what she is going to do. If she wants a future in the Army, she has to learn to not be afraid of guns. She was never around them as my sister would never allow them in the house or any of her kids to use them. I told her that it's like anything else, you have to learn to respect them and not think you are invincible cause once you do, that's when you get hurt. Time will tell. At least she will be home now to help her mom as she is having her ankle surgery this Friday.

It is quite cloudy here today as we may have a t-storm later. Some areas in PA got a storm yesterday, we did not. It rained just a little and I saw lightening once but no storm.

TOPS tonight. TTFN

Mmmm, blackberries. It's funny, I never liked the taste of them till a year or so ago. Now I eat them a lot.

It is sooooo much better for my pain and bad leg. Then came home and picked more wild blackberries in the HOT SUN! Well, I picked an huge bag and had to finally quit bec I was really getting overheated. Then I took a really cool shower! aahhhh

Did I remember to tell you all that they moved my major surgery date up? I am having it July 29th. I will really miss everyone on Spark!

Morning all! Hope everyone had a good 4th and weekend. My weekend was busy. Good busy. The garden club's float for the parade won a trophy for the most patriotic and on Saturday we dedicated a new stone bend to the local park. The weather was beautiful and cooler with lower humidity. Perfect.

Hey team. What a weekend!! I trust everyone had a Happy 4th of July.

We got set up with the camper Thursday evening then had supper. Went into our DIL's parents house to visit a while then off to bed.

Friday was July 4th and we went to a parade. Didn't wear the right clothes as it was only in the low 60s most of the time with clouds and a breeze. Good thing our DIL's mom had a blanket in the car. She and I put that over our legs. The parade lasted about an our and DGD got a lot of candy. After the parade we all went to Texas Roadhouse to eat. Yum. Watched some fireworks later on both live and on TV.

Saturday I rode with DIL's mom into Ollie's and got a few things. Then we got back home and got things ready for a picnic. We ate and after putting things away we went into the pool. The pool water was actually warmer than the air temp. I was in the water for 2 1/2 hours. Got stung 3 times by sweat bees, DIL got stung about 5. They are red and itchy today. I'll have to put some cortisone cream on them.

Yesterday was kind of a kick-back day. DH helped DIL's dad with some things and we left their place a little after 3. Got things put away at home then a shower and laundry done. Now it's back to work today. It will seem like a long week since last week was so short.

Then we get to do it all again this weekend as we're going camping again.

PAMTOPS- emoticon on your 12th week of weight loss. You are doing amazing. Keep it up.

Earnie- I am glad you will be able to get back to some calmer days and focus more on tracking your food and exercise better. It might be just the thing to get those last few pounds that have been so stubborn for you. You got this! emoticon

MNGIRL73- emoticon Sounds like you had a yummy bbq. I am glad you enjoyed the 4th of July weekend. Great job on finding & making food that would keep you on plan, while still celebrating in style. Kudos to you.

I have been sticking to my eating & exercise plans. Today I even got in an extra walk outside which despite the light rain and cold was very nice and relaxing. My fiance has lost 7lbs since his appointment last week. Each pound lost will make the surgery easier and safer, so he is really focused on getting healthier. I plan to cook something nice for dinner tonight and maybe make him a berry smoothie for later. Thanks again for all the support and prayers. I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful week.

Pam, I am glad you have found a way of thinking about your food that works for you and nourishes your body. That makes the process of losing weight so much easier when everything comes together.

Hello Everyone, I am back on here. Been busy and tough week.

Just thinking about your posts and about myself and my relationship with food. I now view my daily eating as "planned food event". It is so working for me. It reassures me that I know what I am going to eat and that I am going to enjoy it. I also went and ate candy Thursday night...I did not binge...and some NutraSweet ice cream...I was actually kind to myself. And on Friday I was fine and enjoyed my planned food events. This new attitude of mine was helped to develop thru reading my Spark friends post, thoughts, experiences and ideas.

At my TOPS weigh in Thursday I removed 1.4 lbs!!! my 12th CONSECUTIVE WEEK OF REMOVING WEIGHT!!!

Amber- that is great inspiration to keep you motivated! We know you can do it!

We went to my mom's for a bbq yesterday. I brought ground turkey so she could grill turkey burgers from a spark recipe I found. They were good. I also made a southwestern black bean salad & jello cottage cheese with pineapple spark recipe.

We went to the races & watched fireworks afterwards. I had 2 cheese curds & water there. I weighed in this morning & maintained.

Now that the holiday is over, I hope and plan to get back to some calm days with good plans. Good plans for staying on track with food, exercise, home chores, and reading.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. We will do the best we can to get his body as healthy for the surgery as possible. Whatever they find after the operation we will deal with then. I will keep you all posted when we get a date locked in. I know I will be a bundle of nerves until he is back home recovering. Meanwhile I plan to log into Spark and stay on track because he will need me, and I will need my health. Falling off the wagon is not an option. So I will not stress eat, binge eat or fill up on junk food. I need to be strong and as healthy as I can so we can focus on getting him better.

I want to wish you all a wonderful 4th of July weekend. Stay healthy and stay on track, because you are worth it.

Earnie- Good luck with the car shopping.

Donna- I hope your leg gets better soon. Sorry you were in such pain. Make sure you let your doctor know it was one of the worst ones you have had. Sometimes they may need to adjust your treatment.

Pam- Swimming is so nice. I am glad you got to enjoy it. It really is easier on the joints and still a great workout for our bodies. Keep it up.

MNGirl- Congrats on losing 40lbs in six months. That is so great. You should feel really proud of all the hard work you put in to reaching that goal. Keep up your lifestyle habits, they seem to work well for your body.

Well my fiance's post op consult went bad yesterday. The cancer did spread to the lymph nodes. They are scheduling him for a bigger operation later this month to remove all the nodes in the area in the hopes of slowing it down. It is a major operation with some big risks. The hospital assigned us a cancer counselor to help us through all this. It is all a bit much. I will try to post & blog here and there, but again our days are going to be packed with appointments, consults, lab work, etc... to prep him for surgery. I appreciate any and all prayers and well wishes for him to have a smooth surgery. He will be in the hospital most of a week after the surgery and then have a drainage tube for about 6 weeks when he gets home. We don't have a date yet, but it will be later this month they said.

Thanks for all the support. I want to wish you all a great week and I hope you all have a wonderful July 4th.

Donna, I hope your leg eases and the cramps are gone.

I'm going to look at cars today (along with some other shopping). I need to get a new car in late August and want to start looking now to decided what I want.

Morning team. Feeling drained today. I woke up with a slight cramp last night about 1:45am. Got up to walk it out and go to the bathroom. While there it grabbed my calf and straightened my leg while pointing my foot. Couldn't move anything. Eased up slightly then grabbed me even harder. That's when DH heard me as I was crying in pain. Took me three times of trying to tell him what was wrong for him to understand. He started gently rubbing my leg and I took 2 leg cramp pills. Needless to say my leg is very sore this morning. Took 2 Aleve in hopes it eases some of the ache. That was the worst cramp I have ever had.

Gained ..6 at TOPS last night. In the last 2 weeks I've put on the pound it took me 3 weeks to lose. Grrr!!

After work today I need to got to Walmart and the grocery store. Then I'll come home and get the camper ready this evening.

TTFN

Pam-Did you wear your Spark Tracker with you swimming? How did it work for you? I have one but have not worn it in the water yet. Hoping to get some swimming in this weekend and just wondering.

I'll try to post a picture of the 1925 Model T later. I'm off to pilates, let a neighbor's cat out of her house (she's out of town for the day), and later to make my volunteer rounds in the hospital.

Earnie and Kopsbaby thank you for your kind words!

Oh, Earnie, I love classic cars! That must have been so much fun to get to ride in a 1925 car! I love to look at the craftsmanship of the old cars. So cool! I am so glad it stopped raining so you could all have a lovely time!

I got to swim quite a bit today! HOORAY FOR EXERCISE! I can move so much easier in the water with my bad leg. I can't say that it doesn't hurt but it is so much better. I am so thankful for that!

Pam and MNGirl, congratulations! You two are amazing and encouraging to everyone else.

Our party was a total success. It rained (poured) up until 3:45 p.m. on Saturday and then the sky cleared and the sun came out. We hurriedly put out all the decorations and the food and then evening was wonderful and fun! I'm exhausted. lol

On to the next project. My garden club is decorating a float for the 4th parade and after working on the float, I got to go for a ride in a 1925 Model T Ford!

I have lost 40lbs. in 6 months. I started losing it on my own since I had been on the Nutrisystem before. I knew what to do with what they taught me. I then found the Venus Factor on FB in April. I mostly used that for my strength training & got some useful tips from the ladies there. I joined here just a month ago & found the cardio workouts very useful. Something to step up my workouts.

I am now setting a new goal. I have 2 weeks worth of strength training workouts to do. I will finish those & if I lose more weight so be it. I would like my tummy to get smaller yet so hopefully that will help. Then after that, I will maintain & maybe if necessary gain a little weight back. I will have to see what happens.

Morning team. It was a glorious camping weekend. No rain, a slight breeze most of the time, and good friends. Course there's always too much food but there's no calories when you're with friends, right? LOL

Looks like it is trying to rain today, cloudy and humid. Tomorrow we might have t-storms.

Back to work today. I work today, tomorrow, a 1/2 day on Wednesday, and all day Thursday then off to more camping. Going to spend the weekend with DSS, DIL, DGD, and DIL's parents whom we are good friends with. They are letting us camp at their place and will provide us with electric. They also have a pool so hoping to get some swimming in this weekend. Haven't had the opportunity yet this year. We'll also go to a parade on Friday, July 4th.

TTFN

Pam-Great going. Another week, another loss. You're doing so well.

Earnie, it is such a lovely thing for you all to throw a party for everyone! It does sound like allot of work though!

Amberbreeze- you get your relaxation in girl! Everyone needs that.

Wow, I can't remember the name of the person is only 1 lb from goal! THAT IS EXCITING!!

Donna- I love key lime pies in the summer, it is great you found one that is lighter but still delicious. Enjoy you camping trip.

Earnie- I hope the weather is good for your neighborhood party this weekend. I hope you have a good time.

Heather- It is great to see you here. Great job on losing the 3 lbs last week. We are cheering you on for that last pound. You can do it!

Pam- Enjoy your new do. Short hair in summer can feel so freeing. It can be easier to style and it is so nice to feel a breeze on your neck in those hot summer evenings.

I am planning on taking it easy this weekend. Just chill and let myself recharge for the week ahead. The weather was stormy the past few days, but tomorrow should be clearer. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Have fun, stay on track. We are all worth it!

Hi team. The morning at home got away from me as I was getting things ready to put in the camper. Made a lighter key lime pie, a SP recipe and boy is it ever good. Very simple and delicious.

It's been kind of steady here at work. We've had our slow times but so far it hasn't been too bad.

Had a gully-washer of rain again last night. Not as intense as Wednesday afternoon but still a lot of rain.

As soon as I get home this evening we'll leave with the camper. Around 9 or so I'll drive the truck back home so I don't have to get up so early to be at work tomorrow as we are camping about 30 miles away.

Better get some more posting done. TTFN and TGIF!!

MNGIRL-Congrats on your loss and almost to goal. You will reach it soon.

I am swamped by preparations for the neighborhood party tomorrow and still praying the rain holds off. I picked up enough meat (pork loin and pork ribs) to feed an army and now I have to cook it tomorrow morning. Making a pasta salad tonight and trying to get as much of the last minute items prepped as possible.

Happy Friday! emoticon

I am happy to say my extra hard work this week has paid off. I lost almost 3 lbs. in the last week & am only 1 lb. to goal.

Hopefully the rain is done for awhile now so I can go for a walk. I see the sun is trying to peek out.

Hope everyone has a Great weekend!

Morning team. Most errands done yesterday. Got the haircut and mammogram done, that was most important. Went to Walmart, twice. Once before my appointment, then just as I had walked into Staples, DH calls and needs some things so had to go back. Never got back to Staples as I needed to go to the grocery store and that seemed like it took forever. Had trouble finding a couple of items and walked up and down the aisles looking. Geez, you'd think they'd have some sort of directory.

Heavy rains came while I was in Walmart the first time. They measured 3/4 of an inch in 15 minutes and almost 2 inches in 30. There was some flooding downtown in the town I was in and a landslide in a neighboring town. Thankfully none where I live once I got home.

Back to work today and the sun is shining. Go figure. TTFN

Two of my neighbors and I are having a party for our entire community on our joined back yards this coming Saturday from 5:30 to 8 and the prediction is for 40% rain all this week, weekend and into next week. The rain has been spotty with just showers morning, evening or night, but not all day. I am praying for a non-rain Saturday afternoon/evening and may have to get out and do a non-rain dance.

Morning team. Off from work today. Have a hair cut and mammogram scheduled for this afternoon so doing things around home till about 1pm then I'll head to the hair appt. I got my grocery list done, dishes from the dishwasher put away and breakfast eaten. Need to get out into the camper, get the deposit ready from TOPS meeting so I can drop that off, and various other odds and ends before I have to leave.

I gained what I lost last week at TOPS last night, ...4 ending my 3 week losing streak. I knew I had. Will work on a loss for next week and start another streak.

Another member reached their KOPS status last night. She had been there before but lost it and she's now reinstated. That makes 3 of us. At one time we had 12. Maybe some day we will again.

Better get busy. TTFN

My garden club is going to a lily farm this morning and then having lunch. Afternoon will be at home.

Morning team. Came home from work last night and had all intentions of going for a walk. It was a beautiful evening. Sat down to supper at 5:30 and it suddenly hit me that I had to be at a meeting at 6. Drat! Good thing it wasn't too far. I made it with just a couple minutes to spare. DH did the dishes for me.

I did get my car back over the weekend. It didn't cost as much as I expected but still enough. The handle was $55 and labor $30, with tax it came to $90 for a piece of plastic.

It's cloudy today and the weatherman is promising rain today and tomorrow. Not all day, just showers. Still, why can't it ever be a nice day when I have off tomorrow?

TOPS tonight. Scale looks a little more than last week. We'll see.

Gotta go. TTFN

Amber-We go camping every chance we get. Have many more scheduled between now and end of October.

Pam-I've had my hair short for years and love it. In fact if it starts to get too long, like now, I get antsy to get it cut. That's in store for tomorrow.

I forgot to tell everyone-I have NEVER HAD REALLY SHORT HAIR and I am 60 years old! Today I got it ALL CUT OFF. I am talking SHORT! SO DIFFERENT! I am happy about it. My dear husband, Larry, was very nice and told me he liked it but ....that it would take him about a week to "adjust" to it! lol lol

Hi Everyboddee! I trust your week is going great. Larry took me to the lake today and yesterday and I nursed my poor leg along with water exercise. Our lakes are at about 81 degrees now-finally! Larry and I always camped when our kids were growing up but we do not now. I think mostly because we are blessed to live in a log home with 110 acres of woods! and live right in the middle of two huge lakes! (well, not in the middle of the lakes- lol!)

Earnie- Good luck on the water. I have never tried it, but I have heard that cucumber slices in water is refreshing and gentler on the tooth enamel then lemon or lime wedges.

Donna- I am glad you are getting some camping in this summer. I hope you get to enjoy more before autumn gets too wet and cold.

Pam- Congrats on ten weeks of weight loss. You can do it! Way to go!

This week I will be running errands, but not nearly as busy as the previous 2 months were. I hope everyone has a great week.
