This team is absolutely the best! What great members we have!

4 wonderful people have now stepped up and volunteered to lead this team:

Earnie (MAUITN)
Stephanie (SHOLMES313)
Jessica (GOLOPTIOUS)

Sally had already been added to the leader's roster after Dedrie left us. This morning Cheryl stepped down and Earnie filled her spot. I have now removed my name and invited Stephanie to add hers. I'm sure that Janet will do the same when she has time to get onto the computer and read all of this.

I ask all of you to support and encourage your new leaders. They have already exhibited their commitment by stepping up and volunteering to do this.

THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT YOU HAVE GIVEN TO ME DURING THE PAST 3 YEARS AS LEADER OF THIS TEAM. I LOVE YOU ALL!

I will be glad to help/co-lead/whatever with the group. I am not a game person, but certainly can welcome, encourage and try to create interesting conversations. What do I need to do now that I have agreed to help?

Sorry, I missed this thread until today!

As you may have noticed, Sally has agreed to help lead the team and is now on the list of leaders. Cheryl, Janet and I are still helping, too, but we are still looking for other members who are willing to help in whatever way they can .............................................leaders welcome new people to the team, they check on people who have been active but suddenly go missing, they start new challenges or encourage other members to do so. They set team goals at the beginning of the month. They just assist in keeping everyone involved!

Is there anyone else who is willing to help Sally?

I will put in my two cents here and I am sure that Jen will respond in the morning.

From the research I did I don't believe that has to be an 'actual' team leader to keep the team running. However, if there are no posts after 190 days Spark may choose to delete the team.

I see no reason why several of you couldn't be co-leaders. One would have to sign up as the actual leader but that's just a case of semantics.

And Sally, as for the schooling - I know that I would be more than willing to help you learn the ropes and I'm sure that Jen would, too. Janet does some of the challenges and if she doesn't have the time we could help with that, too.

Also, when you sign up as a leader or co-leader there is another team that you can be a part of that answers all of those questions. They will automatically send you an invite.

Do all teams HAVE to have a designated leader if everyone is willing to pitch in and welcome new people, answer questions, etc.? We have some pretty active people here and others (like me) can try to be more active.

As you all know, Cheryl, Janet and I are ready to step down from our role as team leaders. At this point no one has come forward to offer to take over. I am wondering if there is another way to keep the team going. Maybe, people could volunteer to run a certain challenge or to welcome new members, etc. for a month or two at a time. Just a thought.

Please share your thoughts and ideas here. We really want to find a way to make this work for everyone.
