That's a great idea to pack healthy snack ready at your finger tips. NO EXCUSES! I actually just bought some small containers that I need to put to good use.

I pack my lunch at night. so i generally have measuring cups or small dishes out preparing fruits, veggies, 1 oz of cheese/nuts and cereals, if i chomp on 1 of those items (portion ) it is realativly low calorie and provides some nutrtion.

Don't forget to be awesome.

Janet, I'm totally going to have to try the brushing the teeth as my reminder to stop eating. I as well make my popcorn in the pot and weigh out 66 grams, which totals 200 calories. It has worked great because I'm sooo used to a HUGE bowl, which totaled over 350 cal.

Yep, brushing the teeth works for me, too.

I'm a night owl so nightime snacking is also a problem for me. I'm with Cheryl on the popcorn, though I make homemade on the stovetop. Even with the oil it comes out to about 100 per cup and I only put a dash of salt (no butter) on it. And of course the wonderful smell is half the enjoyment.

Another thing I do is to brush my teeth right after dinner to signal a finish to my eating. It doesn't always work, but works okay into my night time routine.

I have to have a snack at night and I also schedule it into my food plan. SP says that all calories burn the same way regardless of when they are eaten. I know that is contrary to what we have heard all of our lives, but I have had not problem with eating a planned snack that fits into my calories for the day.

Have you tried the 100 calorie pack popcorn. Or any of the other 100 calorie snacks. It's nice because they are individually packaged so you're less tempted to eat more.

I personal schedule my after dinner snack to be no later than 8:30/9pm. I add it into my calorie count to make sure that I don't go over my range. Good luck because I totally know what you are going through because I have to have a snack after I put the kids to bed.
