Hi everyone! Yes, we got hit by the big storm. There was no school yesterday. I hope there will be school today. There was some talk of freezing rain. It is 9 degrees here this morning. I know that is nothing for you northerners, but here on the east coast IT'S COLD!

I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Jen, I am so sorry for your loss! We lost our cat about 2 years ago, and I still miss him on a regular basis! Please know that I am thinking of you and the kids. I am so glad you were able to tell your pet goodbye! I would have given anything for that!

Hi Team! Had an uneventful day, but aren't Mondays usually? I still need to get my exercise in but I did okay staying in my calorie range. Like Pam said, we had beautiful sunshine but very cold. I'm not complaining though, especially after what the East coast got. Hope all of you in that neck of the woods are okay and bearing with it. Spring is officially only 20 days away so I'm sure we can make it to the end soon.

Jen - I'm so sorry about losing your family cat. It sounds like you have many fond memories of him.

Pam - Congrats on your casino winnings! Sounds like you had a great time. Good luck to your son on his education and job quest. I'm also looking for robins, they usually start showing up in March again - keep an eye out!

Good start to the week and month. Let's keep up the great work!

Thanks everyone for your condolences. My kids are just heartbroken. It was such a shock because the vet just thought that he had several bites and scratches on his back. There appeared to be no internal injuries. I just don't know what happened.

Orson was a gorgeous cat. He was an Egyptian Mau, which is a breed that was once worshiped in Egypt and is spotted. He was very dog-like in personality and loved being with people. He liked to sit on my sons' shoulders and wrap around their necks like a fur collar. He was a big presence in our house and will be hugely missed.

Good Sunday evening all!!

I had a wonderful weekend!! I had a shocker at the casino as I won 2000.00 on my second spin at a dollar machine.. I thought my husband was going to have heart failure over it!! But I think the casino decided to keep an eye on me and I didn't win anymore Saturday even though I tried really hard...lol. I put the winning away for a down payment for a new car. We had a wonderful dinner at the casino buffet. Shrimp, fish, veggies and a nice salad. And I stayed in calorie range. Was really proud of me.

JC, My son Chris has been working hard to get back on his feet. He is going to college now and studying in the computer field. What he does after college I have no idea. I do wish him luck and would love him back on his own feet. So maybe with luck this will help him. We did warn him come this next winter we where going to close the house up so hubby and I can spend our winter in Florida. Now he can stay if he pays rent but my son believes because he is our son that he shouldn't have to pay rent! OK, well he is 33yrs old and if he wants to stay he has to pay to keep the house going while we are gone. To me that is part of being a grown up! But time will tell.

Like Jc, said it was really really cold here this weekend. A few snow flakes that morning but rest of day here along lake michigan was sun out but still freeging!! I am seeing a few birds that have come back but so far no Robins. I can't wait to see Robins again!

Jen, I have no ideas either but I do like the one no snack after dinner. Works for me.

I do hope everyone had a great weekend!!

I just wanted to let you know that our cat, Orson, died this afternoon. At about 2PM I suspected that he was leaving us. I called everyone together and we took turns lying curled around him for about 5 hours until he left us. Everyone is very sad.

Hi Team! It's Sunday and I'm back to check in. I had a good weekend. I got my exercise in and enjoyed the sunshine through the windows. I didn't go outside til I had to leave for church today. The wind was blowing all weekend and it was VERY cold. Luckily we have big picture windows.

To add to my Lenten goals, I'm going to work on staying within my daily calorie range. I think that's why I had a net gain in February. I'd like to get back on track and put a big number loss down for March.

Pam - great attitude about the weight loss ticker. As for your son, there still is hope in Michigan as I was just added to the payroll this last week where I'm working now. Granholm's "No worker Left Behind" has help through the Michigan WORKS sites around the state. The legislation provides funds to get retrained in a new field. He might check into it. Also, have him try temp jobs or volunteering. My temp job led into my current job. I also think keeping a positive outlook will help although it is harder to do with all the doom and gloom news. I'll be praying for him and all the other out-of-work workers.

Dedrie - It is okay to fall off the horse once in awhile so long as you get back in the saddle. But then I already know you're the type to do so, all while taking the bull by the horns. (Too many cliches' for you? LOL)

Tammy - Welcome to the team! It sounds like you gave all your love to others and just now realized you needed some for yourself. You've found the right place to find some lovin' as we're sending it your way. We're all with you here!

Trish - Doin' good girl!

Jen - Hope your kitty is better soon. I don't have any suggestions for the team goal in March, but I like Tabitha's idea of no snacking after dinner. That would be real hard, but beneficial to master.

Tabitha - Drink plenty of liquids and get some rest. You'll kick that cold bug right out of ya!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'll check in tomorrow.

Jen here are some ideas--

No snacking after dinner.

Eat on a regular schedule.

Try 1 new healthy food every day/week

Try a new healthy recipe once a week

I hope these help!

Good luck in March team!

Good morning team! Well, the scale shows I have not lost a thing for Feb. I did lose 5lbs, but when we went away on our holiday apparently somehow I gained 7, and since we've been home i've only lost 2 so right back where I started.
Today I plan to get at least one hour of exercise in and eat right, and other than that I hope to just do some relaxing!
Anyhoo, happy Saturday everyone!

Hi everyone!

Tammy, I am so glad that you made your way to us. I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope she gets the therapy, support and healing that she needs. I hope you and the rest of the family can heal, too. I remember when we adopted our daughter. We applied for two children (China didn't like to give more than one child to a family at one time back then) and we said we would take girls between the ages of 3 and 8. Our pastor was so worried about that. When we got our referral, it said that Hana was almost 3 years old, but there had been a mistake in the translation and she was actually almost 2. Our pastor was overjoyed because she was so concerned about the adjustment problems that would come from an older child. She just wanted us all to be happy. You are a very special woman to have taken on this challenge and you are doing the right thing for all of you. Good luck with returning some focus to you!

Pam, Win lots of money and have lots of fun!

Our cat was apparently in a fight. The vet found lots of cuts under his fur. He is very sick and clearly feels miserable, but the doctor has him on antibiotics and pain meds.

Thanks for asking. Have a great weekend!

Jen

Good morning all

Well it finally a day to have fun, NO kids!! for a day. I'm telling you even though my kids are adults they still act like children! I am doing my best to get them back on there feet and on there own again. I'm getting to old for kids under my roof!! When my son life came crashing in around him I was glad he didnt have a family to worry about it was just him losing it all. Then after 13yrs on his own he had to come home. And with the unemployment the way it is here they both are having a hard time find jobs! No one is working in Michigan. Everything is leaving or closing down. Not good for the young people let alone the older workers that dont have jobs anymore. Makes me glad my hubby is retired.

Hi Tammy nice to meet you!! You will love this group of gals they are so great!!

Diedre we all have off days and yes they do feel good once in awhile. And after how hard you work you deserve a day for YOU!

JK you and Diedre work out like crazy. I do my bike and walk some but you two gals are something! I wish I had it in me to work that hard. At just about 53 I dont have your guys energy not yet anyways. I am working on it...lol

Well my friends I am off today for a day of fun! We are going to go to the casino again! I swear that is the only place hubby can think to go this time of year. Oh don't worry my time is coming when it gets warm the Art Fair start and I drag him to everyone of them...lol!! Pay back!!...lolol
To funny!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Hey team! Happy Friday (even though it's almost over). I had a fabulous day today! I ate very good, I did 30 mins of cardio, 45 mins upper body workout and 30 mins on my elliptical. Wow I feel great, sore and tired but great!

Jen - hope your kitties visit to the vet went well!
Diedre - I totally missed saying congrats for getting into the 140's!! Before you know it you will be at your goal! You truly are an inspiration, and don't worry about your cheat day, it's ok to have one every once in awhile and with your turbo jam you'll have it worn off right away!
Pam, i'm sure in March your scale will move for you! I hope you get to go away this weekend!
Tammy - Good luck with everything with your daughter. It must be very difficult for you, but time will help everything and before you know it she'll be home and things will be better.
Tabitha - have a good productive weekend cleaning, and when your done your house.
Tameka - WaHoo!! It's Friday! have a great weekend!
Janet - Congrats on your 2lb loss!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. I have to work tomorrow for 3 hours but then I plan on relaxing with my family and maybe getting some bread baked.

JC congrats on the loss. You are doing great. You will get there!!

Pam don't fret about the lack of weight loss. With all the biking you do, you have probably swapped a bunch of fat for a bunch of muscle. Keep it up lady!

Dedrie we all have those days and you're right, tomorrow is a new day. Make it count. You will TurboJam all those cals in no time!

Tammy my heart goes out to you and your daughter. Enjoy this time to work on your own well-being and look forward to the time when your daughter can come home.

Have a great weekend team!

I'm back again watching what I eat and tracking like crazy. Very emotional time. My 14 year old daughter leaves tomorrow for a therapeutic residential facility out in Idaho. We adopted her late in her life and there have been insurmountable problems that we have struggled with for 11 years. I think over the past many years I've grown accustomed to eating to hide my frustrations with her hence the large weight gain. Tomorrow she will be gone and although there is great sadness I can already feel the pressures lifting. I know she'll be back for visits until she can do some necessary healing and come home for good.
I feel in control again and love it when I put good, healthy, planned food in my mouth. I'm really hoping and praying that I can spend some time on myself and my health (I'll be 50 in March). The more I get to know Spark People the more impressed I am. There is weight loss hope among people who share my struggles. Thanks Jen for guiding me to this inspirational Spark Team.

I have to be honest, today was an off day for me and I have used as a HUGE cheat day. I've eaten and eaten all day and can't even plug everything into my tracker. I'm afraid to log everything, emoticon . I've been good since January and it totally felt good to have a break down day. Tomorrow is a new day and I'm now ready to take on March.

Hi All!

Its friday and I am ready for the weekend. I do hope hubby has plans for us as I don't want to spend it home this weekend.

I did my emoticon already and I'm feelin the burn. Oh how good it is.

I made scallop potato's and ham and homemade bread for the family and for me I am having fat free and a humungous salad. Dont know if I am going for blue cheese dressing or my fat free. But one of them will be so good.

It was sunny here today but the wind is cold! We had a ton of rain last night with some thunder and lighting. Kinda cool to here...I'm thinking Spring!!

Jen, I do hope your kitty is doing ok!

I didn't loss any weight at all for febuary. What a bummer but I am still giving it my all. It has to come off sooner or later. I will just keep doing what Im doing!

Have a great weekend everyone! Stay safe and enjoy!!

Hi team! Today was a good day except for the slippery drive into town this morning. Woke up and it was 39 degrees and an hour later it was 31 and snowing. The sun is out now and it doesn't feel too bad, although our brief warm up is gone again.

February overall wasn't a great month for me, but my Lenten goals seemed to make a difference this week as I managed to lose 2 lbs at weigh in this morning.

Jen - I usually don't check in on Wednesdays because I go straight from work to my chiropractor and then home, but this week I went on Thursday because of Ash Wednesday so that's why I didn't check in. I know I do better when I have all of your support, so I'm hoping not to go more than 2 days without checking in during Lent. I tell you these Lenten goals have been good for me!

Dee - I'm so glad to hear you're okay. We'll be praying for your fast recovery. Don't worry about weighing in. It is more important to look to your overall health and not just your change in healthy living. Get well soon!

Dedrie - 140's, WOW! You are truly inspiring to the rest of us.

Tabitha - Glad you enjoyed the nice weather when you could. Sounds like you had the perfect workout to reduce your work stress!

Pam - I'm just starting my 40's but I hope to be just as active as you. Keep up the great work!

Tameka - your posts make me laugh with enthusiasm. Enjoy your Friday and weekend!

I won't be checking in on Saturday, but I'll be here Sunday night. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Morning Team! TGIF!!!! It has been one long work week. I am looking forward to a nice, productive weekend. I am going to clean the house and maybe get going on the spring cleaning.

Jen I hope your kitty is feeling better soon.

Dedrie you will do fine at the party. Like Jen said, you can work off anything. Have fun!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone!

Dedrie, Have a wonderful time at the party. Focus on the dancing and the healthier foods, but don't feel deprived. You can work off anything!

Dee, I hope you are able to make it to the Bible study tonight. Cabin fever can be terrible! Feel better.

Tameka, IT's FRIDAY!

Pam, I am ready to drink my coffee outside, too.

Janet, I don't think I saw you yesterday. You didn't give us up for Lent, did you?

Tabitha, They are calling for snow showers here for Saturday, too, and it is supposed to be in the 60s today! I want spring!

Trish, How was your lunch out?

I am headed to the vet with our sick cat. Wish me luck.

Jen

Good Morning Team,

emoticon Thank you to everyone for your support. This team is sooo inspiring I love it. Everyone here just keeps me motivated and I just know one day I'll actually be able to say I'm 135. emoticon

Any special plans this weekend? I'm heading into NY for my SIL's mother's b'day party. She planned a big one with tons of food, so please wish me luck with not going over board. Everything is catered so I know the food is going to taste really good. Hopefully, I'll burn a lot off with the dancing. LOL

TGIF Everyone!

Hi everyone! It has been one crazy day in my little world. Work was no fun today but I did come home and get in a workout so I can't complain too much. I am in a much better mood now and I think sleep will come easy.

Dee I am glad to hear you are feeling better. You should definitely enjoy your rest days and not push to hard. Be careful and take care.

Tameka although I loved the 69 degree weather earlier this week, they are calling for snow Saturday. Not much but its crazy when it is 69 degrees and 16 degrees within a 72 hour period. Yikes!

Good night team! It is almost friday!

Good morning everyone! Thank you for the well wishes!

I am trying to get up and at 'em a little more today. I took my shower and am sitting on the couch (not a bed yeah!) My girlfriend bible study group is tonight and one of the ladies is coming to pick me up since I am not supposed to drive. I hope I will feel up to it! I am so ready to get out of this house!

Jen, I too hope the appendix weighs 20 lbs LOL. I still have a lot of water/bloating weight so I am not even thinking about stepping on the scale yet!

I am so thankful for all my family and friends thru this ordeal! I guess I was pretty sick...DH says it was a high stress situation for about 24 hours. They had to leave my drain in longer than they wanted due to the amount of infection in my body after the rupturing. For me it was not that big a deal between the pain meds and high fever I really don't remember much. DS & DD were certainly glad to have mommy home DD just cried and cried and really wanted to sleep with me and not not go to school. I must say this has been much worse than my c-sections!

I will be checking in alot over the next few days I am sure since I won't be doing much else! Have a great day everyone!

Dedrie, I am so glad to hear that you are in the 140's!! YEAH!!

Pam, great job on your bicycle!

Love you all!

Mornin' everyone!

Dee, I'm so glad to hear that you are okay now. I was really worried about your absence. The "dieter" in me hopes that an appendix weighs 20 lbs! (LOL) Listen to your dr. and get well soon!!

Pam, Start riding that bike in the direction of Maryland. I'll wait out front for your arrival!

Trish, You go girl! Win that money and take us all out to lunch!

Dedrie, You motivate us all with your incredible energy and attitude!

Tameka, It's so good to have you back with us all the time.

Janet, It's great to see you every day!

Hugs,

Jen

Morning everyone,

JKLMUM, good luck with winning the pot of gold at the end of your challenge. I had a dream last night that I was competing to get on the Biggest Loser. Pretty Funny!

Dee, I'm sorry to here all that you have been through the last few weeks, but glad to here that you are recovering well. Take it easy as the doctor says and enjoy your rest days. I wish you back to full health really soon.

It's Another great Thursday on this end to make progress before weigh in tomorrow. I'm going to get in my cardio routine and stay on plan again today.

Best Wishes to everyone,

Hello everyone!! I cannot tell you how much it warms my heart to see that I have been missed! I have had a very interesting couple of weeks...ends up the kids had the flu and right when everyone returned to normal routine I spent 4 days in the hospital. I had my appendix taken out on Sunday. I started throwing up on Thursday and running a really high fever 104...but I really thought I had caught the kids krud. DH was out of town on business until about 4 pm on Saturday. He got home took one look at me and insisted on a trip to the emergency room. Well, my appendix had ruptured, and needed to come out ASAP. So...it has been interesting!

I feel so much better, but more worn out than I ever would have thought. I think today is Wednesday (right??) and I cannot wait to feel normal again. I cannot get back to my normal work out for 4 to 6 weeks. How crazy is that?? I have a post-op visit on Monday so I am anxious to see then if I can do non-impact activity like swimming or bike riding. I weighed in pre surgery at 211.6 (AGHHH!!!). That is high but I don't know if it was because of the appendix or eating...I haven't weighed since I got home. Should be able to tell more next week as I start feeling better. I am up and around, but so WEAK!

Thank you all so much for all the sweet thoughts! I am ok just one organ short LOL! I have had so much fun seeing how everyone is doing I have missed you all so much!

Talk to you all tomorrow as I am off to bed!

Dee emoticon

Good Evening All!

I had a great day Jen!! I got in 31mins on my bike which ended up being 4.67 miles!! woohoooo!! I'm feeling pretty good! I also took your lead and have added more calories to my day! So we will see.

I to been wondering what has happened to Dee. I do hope she is ok.

Dedrie, you are the signal person in here that has gotten me off my butt and moving. Your energy is catchy. And it does feel so good doesn't it. Its funny when I was 40yrs old for that whole year I walked 3 miles each morning. When the sun came up I was out there walking. I lived in the country and didn't have to worry about cars or anything else. Just the chance of seeing wild life made me go. Life changed and so did I. But now I am getting my 40's back and I feel great!

Good work everyone!!!!!!

Have a good eveing all!!

Hi everyone! Three days in a row of checking in - I'm on a roll! I can't stay long since I have to head off to Ash Wednesday Mass. I was very good today since it was a day of "fast". I'm way below my calorie range, but I feel good and will get my exercise in after Mass.

Jen - Congrats on breaking through your plateau! I may take your example and review my nutrition and exercise plans, especially if I can see the same results.

Dedrie - Way to stay strong. It always helps to have a plan to get through those days of temptation.

Tabitha - Hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather! Please send some my way:)

Trish - Good job keeping within the calorie range!

Tameka - Only 2 days til TGIF! Hope everything is coming up roses for you and your sister.

Oh gee, I'm gonna be late - enjoy the rest of your day!

Hey Everyone,

Pam, I'm glad that you are feeling a little better today. Give your husband a HUGE hug and kiss for be supportive to your needs.

Tabitha, Thank you for your support and outside is beautiful here as well in Jersey. I feel like just going for a walk now, but I can't.

JKLMUM, I'm glad that you had a great lunch and still have room for a little bit more. Yeah, you should definitely eat more, but just make sure it's a healthy snack. By using Jen as an example, you should definitely listen to SP and increase your calorie intake.

Today was a great day for me because I really kept moving. I cleaned and got in 60+ minutes of a workout. It's now 4:53pm and I've kept my eating under control. Planning really does work at keeping me in the right straight of mind. Plus, I just kept myself busy and out the kitchen.

I just put in all my food for today and including what I plan to eat for dinner it's only 1044 calories! How weird is that, I thought it would be way higher. Do I need to have a snack or something later? I've also noticed that SP has increaser my calories to 1400 as my minimum. Why is that? Is it because of the amount of exercise i've set up for myself to do? How weird.

Have a super skinny day!

Happy hump day to everyone!
Way to go Jen on getting through that plateau!
Today I had my treat day so my friend vanessa and I had lunch, and not healthy! Cheeseburger and poutine. oops1 However, that said I immediatly did my fitness coach game and burnt 118 calories (which I realize does not near cover what I ate) and I will do at least 45 mins on my elliptical tonight so that should help. We are having tilapia and rice tonight for supper so it won't be so bad!
I get so frustrated, I weighed myself this morning and have not lost any of the 7lbs I gained while away and I have been very good with eating and exercise. Oh well, I will keep plugging away, what goes on must come off!
I'll be back later!

Have a super skinny day!

Tabitha,

I guess it works because of the whole "body going into starvation mode" thing. If you don't eat enough, your body thinks it is starving and stops burning fat or at least slows the process way down. I suppose that when I so drastically increased my exercise my body got defensive of its fat stores and wouldn't let go of any. Once I began to feed it in the right calorie range (enough to prevent starvation, but not too much so that it is storing fat) it began to burn again.

Happy Hump Day Everyone! It is a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful day here in St. Louis, sunny and warm! I am having a great day. I have so much energy today. I can't wait to get home and workout. I ended up wimping out a little last night. I did workout but not nearly long enough. Oh well, since I have so much energy today I can put in an extra 30 minutes.

Jen I am sooooooo happy that the extra calories are treating you well. Hopefully they nipped that nagging hunger too. I knew you would beat that plateau. It is still strange to think that eating too little caused you to stop losing. It makes sense but it doesn't seem right. I guess it goes against nearly everything I have ever been told about the "best and fastest" way to lose weight. Anywho keep up the good work girly.

Dedrie you CAN do this. Stay strong and enjoy your day off. I seem to snack more at home too but if anyone can make it, it is you. Rock on lady!

Have a great day team!

Good Wednesday All,

I am having a good day! I didn't open my door till long after I awoke this morning. I did my bike, had my coffee and took a shower all before facing the kids! When I did open my door hubby was making breakfast. So nice..but he knew I was feeling a little stressed out so he was being good too...lol. To funny.

Congrats on the loss Jen!! emoticon emoticon
Must have made your day!! Now you have me thinking am I eating way to little too. We will see! My weigh in is friday but today I am staying away from the thing. I do much better if I don't know. So for now I'm holding out...lol but knowing me I will JUST have to know...lol.

Well time to get back at it. It is raining here today and down right nasty out. So I am doing a little more spring cleaning. Now isn't that fun....lol. NO...lol

Good Morning team,

Today is a new day to get our bodies moving and make healthy choices. I'm off from work and surrounded by food and need to hold myself accountable and stick to my plan. I CAN DO THIS! I typically snack a lot more when I'm at home and head towards my higher range, which isn't good because I'm not as active.

Jen, emoticon you hit it right on the nail. WOW, 2.8 pounds in 2 days is FANTASTIC. I totally need to stop second guessing SP when they tell me to eat more. NO MORE PLATEAU FOR YOU! YOU BEAT IT!

I wish everyone a happy Wednesday.

Okay gang, guess what? For the past two days I have eaten more and this morning I was down 2.8 pounds! Can you believe it? Yesterday I ate 1901 calories (ON THE DAY BEFORE WEIGH-IN!) and the previous day I was in the 1600s because I went out with Nora, ate dinner and split a pitcher of beer. I am truly amazed! I will continue the increased calories and see where it takes me. I'm still a little nervous, but less so than before.

Pam, I hope you feel better today. Motherhood and wifehood(if that's a word) can really get to you. There is no true vacation from those jobs and they require a great deal of us. I really wish we all lived closer to one another and could have at least a monthly get together. Wouldn't that be great?

Janet, It has been great to see you around the last two days. What a treat!

Tabitha, It is great to have you back here regularly. I'm glad that your computer is better!

Dedrie, It's always great having you around! Thanks for being you.

We have a new team member named, SweetPetite. If she comes by, please give her your usual warm welcome!

Thank Jen! For some reason it's just been one of those days for me. I don't normally let things get to me but the past few days with these adults kids of mine been really hard. I would give anything if they where still little...lol so much easier to handle. Now there way of thinking drives me nuts. They keep telling me ( back in the day)!! ok I'm not that old yet!! I have to remind them we had color tv and inside plumbing when I was a kid...lol! Once a mom always a mom but boy there are times I don't want to here the word MOM...lol.

I have had a better night as I took time for me! I did my bike and a hot shower and closed my door to the rest of the house so I feel better! Now its time for me! to read my book and go to sleep. Have a great night everyone!!

Janet, Way to go on that determination! Congratulations on starting your new job!

Pam, We can all use some time away from the family once in a while. When you are "Mom" everyone wants a piece of you and the only way to make it stop is to get away. I understand your frustration! Wish I were there to escape with!

Hi team! Two days in a row - aren't you proud of me? I've been very good today with it being Fat Tuesday. Today was officially my first day on payroll at the place I'm working so my supervisor brought in a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. I said thank you and didn't eat any! It was nice since it let everyone at work know I'm part of the team and then THEY could enjoy a donut. I even "missed" having a pazcki (pronounced "poonchkey") which used to be my Fat Tuesday tradition. So I'm ready and geared up for the Lenten season.

I haven't had time to catch up with everyone yet. Maybe tomorrow since I'll have some time before Mass tomorrow night. Until then, enjoy the rest of your day!

Hi All,

I figured better late then never. I am around Jen just super busy past few days. And yes on bike too...lol. Diet not so hot today been a day of nibble here nibble there. I have no idea what is going on with me!!!! The past few days it seems my focus been on everything else. My family been pulling me all over the place. I start something and the next I am being pull elsewhere which drives me NUTS. I think I need a vacation from my family!! Would be nice I used to take vacations without them but since hubby retired I haven't. I wonder if I just need a break.

Anyways. best wishes everyone. And tomorrow is a new day!

Don't you worry, you all will be the first to hear about how I do.

Where's Pam? Is she on that bike again?

Jen, please keep us posted on your progress and you know I totally wish you the best. This will totally answer a lot of questions to help balance out exercise to calories eaten.

Tameka, I wish you the best with your sacrifices for lent. I'm sure it's great to have your sister right by your side to keep you on track. Best Wishes!

Tabitha, I just know you'll get that workout in before your body totally crashes. Have fun!

JKLMUM, you sound like a very busy mom. Your today sounded like me yesterday with getting my daughter to dance class.

Good afternoon everyone! I'm just home on my lunch break so i thought I would pop in and say hi!

Diedre - great insight!
Taberdoodle - way to go on making exercise a priority!
I know i'm missing someone, i'm sorry, I hope your having a great day!
Sorry, my mind isn't quite here, it's quite frazzled actually. The computer at work has been down all week and what a mess to walk into this morning. So now i'm home and getting supper started so it will be ready after work as my oldest has karate tonight, so it's an eat and run night in our house! I'm going to try to get a workout in tonight when we get back from karate. We'll see how it goes.
Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Team! I am so tired today. I don't know what's going on. I am going to have to workout as soon as I get home from work so I don't try to use the tired excuse and then its off to do some school work.

Jen I think you are doing the right thing. It definitely sounds like you are eating too little. Be brave and good luck! I know you will be losing again soon.

Well team, have a good day!

Morning All,

Wishing everyone a wonderful Tuesday!! Hope all is going well!!

I see some of us have put into place what we'll be sacrificing during Lent. For DH and myself it will be eating out. We said that when we have the urge to eat out or eat on the run, that we'll go and put that money in the bank. We definitely need to start saving anyway!!

As for fitness and nutrition, my sister and I decided to give up on the WW meetings. Not that it doesn't work, but it's just not economical for both of us right now. We'll still hold one another accountable by doing our own WI's together once a week! Saturday will be our first one. And we'll also get together a couple times a week to workout together.

Alright, time to get back to work!! Have an awesome day!!!

Hi everyone!

I had a busy day at work yesterday and went out last night with my friend, Nora. It was good to escape for an evening.

I took a big, scary step this morning. I have been on a plateau for the past three weeks and I realized that my weight loss stalled when I dramatically increased my exercise. I decided that just maybe I have not been eating enough. I went back and looked at the average amount of calories I have burned each week for the past three weeks and entered that into the fitness calculator. It then increased my calories by 400 per day. It is terrifying to me to attempt to lose weight by actually eating MORE, but I am going to give it a shot. I have been really hungry lately and have been trying to space my food out over the day to keep the hunger away. Maybe this is the answer. Stay tuned!

Have a great day! Janet, it is good to hear from you. Where is Dee????

Good Morning,

Even though it's a cold one here, the sun is at least shining. emoticon

Well, my routine today is pretty much the same as yesterday. I have to get the kids ready for school and I'm out to work. My workout routine will just have to wait until I get back home.

Holding ourselves accountable is most important. We could only blame ourselves and not the foods.

Good evening everyone! Today was another good day. I didn't get near everything that I wanted to done, but I ate right and got exercise in and right now that's the important stuff to me! I did my 2nd day on the fitness coach wii game and I am sooooo sore today. I forgot about how much the stiffness and soreness hurts! When I was lifting weights regularly before I swore I would never quit and have to go through that initial pain again but I did quit and now i'm stiff again. grrrr. Oh well, live and learn and keep on going!
Anyways, have a great energetic day tomorrow everyone! I'm back to work tomorrow and i'm told that the computer broke while I was away and the part arrived today so i'll lots of puter work to catch up on tomorrow so it'll be a busy day. Oh well, it should go by quickly then! Of course that's if I can get out of bed in the morning!
Anyways, night!

Have a super skinny day!

Hi team! I did pretty good at the beginning of last week by checking in, but the last half of the week kind of got away from me. I haven't caught up on how everyone is doing, but it will have to wait until later. I just wanted to pop in and tell you I'm doing okay.

I've set my Lenten goals and have included some of the problem areas I'm still struggling with since the holidays. (I think promising to change for God is a lot easier to do than promising to myself!) Maybe I'll have the new habits in place by Easter if I focus on them during Lent. Regardless, no "Fat" Tuesday for me tomorrow. I plan to stay in my calorie range and get in my exercise.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful Monday. I have to work and then do school work. It is not the best, but it will do for a Monday.

Jen I wish you luck at dodging the crazies. The bad weather always brings 'em out of the woodwork.

Nickey we will miss you! I wish you luck with your goals.

Well team, have a great day. I will check in later.

Pam,

I don't know why we seem to have to re-learn the same old lessons! But we do! Sometimes I think it is good for us to slip because it feels so rotten that it keeps us from falling. I'm glad you got that lesson out of the way for now. lol

Hang in there.

Good Monday!

My weekend was full of young adults and a mess which is still going on here! My daughter and her friend have been baking and are still baking this morning for the men in there life's. What a MESS!! At this point hubby and I want to run away!!...lol....kids!!

I was good for half my weekend! Saturday not so good and I paid the price for it. I spent most of saturday night up because of all the crap I ate. I know better then to eat candy!! but oh no Pamela had to have candy!! I will never touch the stuff again. Being a Diabetic and candy doesn't mix well! Made my legs hurt and my heart race and I know better but I was on s mission of being really bad. I am working really hard at not being a diabetic too so what was up with me eating candy! Oh well I have learned!

I am waiting for the girls to get done with my kitchen so I can get my day started here. By the time they do the day will be over with...lol.

Ok all have a great day
