Love those moments! ha ha
I'm fortunate to be in a school that recognizes both the need to be serious and the need for fun. It seems very well balanced!

I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

I got tired of starting over and working back to where I was, so I have stopped giving up!

OMG I almost fell outta my chair when I read your story. Gotta give the kid credit for NERVE! Guess he missed the RESPECT class. LOL
Reminds me of a conversation at my Buddhist Temple. The Abbott Monk was saying that we should all be reading The Lotus Sutra as its the main one for our Lineage. One of the new youngsters in attendance piped up with, " Ive read the whole thing 2 times!" The Monk calmly says, " When youve read it 1000 times, let me know. Then you may have understanding equalling one grain of sand in time!"
I had to really work on my mindfulness at that moment, bc I wanted to burst out laughing. LMAO

Ha ha, reminds me of someone one of my instructors was talking about. He was visiting his niece and her boyfriend came along. The boyfriend is very large and according to Mr. Sc, he has that look of someone who's never been fit or trim. The boyfriend starts talking about how he's such a great martial artist and could take Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Statham, Savage, etc. The kid then starts to 'offer' to show Mr. Sc his moves and promises not to hurt him to bad. Mr. Sc says "I've got to tell you (he's laughing almost to hard to talk) I've trained for close to 40 years and have several black belts. I've been all over the world for my training and competed across the globe". The kid replies along the lines "yeah, great. Well my form is the one from Korea thats all mental. We don't worry about any of that physical junk, we just practice the brain stuff of martial arts." Mr Sc replied "oh?" and the kid says "yeah, we sit around for hours thinking really hard!"

So when you find that mirror, please send me a link to the store, I need one too!

Yes that sounds like my co workers. Or one really big guy that is just plain fat, but claims hes sooooo muscular!!!!! Not sure what kinda mirror he uses. LOL I sure wanna get myself one. Then I could have all those rippling muscles and 6 pack abs. HAHAHAHAHAH

After my neck injury I stopped most of my wgt training. I also have an office job now. But I at least try to watch my diet and do portion control as much as possible.

I have started back to some light wgt training, and am still working on the push up goal I set for myself.

Sitting on my bum day after day with no activity except making excuses got me where I was 1 1/2 years ago, while it's easy to keep doing the same thing and not make changes, the first step is the hardest. To add to that, when a person sits at their desk with you-tube on the computer and a double quarter-pounder with super size fries and coke, but says how much they want to drop weight and get fit, they look like a moron.
Harsh, but true.

Know what ya mean about people making excuses. Ive posted about SP on most all the sites I visit regularly, and not one person has said that they joined. I only posted it bc they all talk about wanting to diet, work out, lose wgt, etc.

One even said he just doesnt have the time for SP, yet hes on at least 3 other sites multi tmes a day. Guess it really is all about priorities.

Ive been having computer issues lately, so am pretty much only getting on when at work. I use my laptop, but something seems to have started interfering with my wireless at home. Not sure what it is bc it works fine at work 40 miles away.

Im also trying to be more active on days off, which means not getting on computer as much.

I can not access Spark from work anymore, it's now considered (to my employer) a 'social site' emoticon
Been pretty busy training though, my dojo has a belt test coming up, one month away. We test twice a year, up to black.
A lot of my friends and coworkers say how much they want to be more active but then cancel gym time to catch their show, the could be on spark while the commercials play emoticon

Nope, I'm giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, they are spending so much time training that they don't log on often emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
