Hummus is found in the deli section prepared there are a few brand names, I like Athenos because they have a selection of flavors: Red Pepper (not spicy), Spicy three pepper, cucumber dill, garlic and olive oil. You can find mixes in the grocery section near the rice and couscous. I have never tried the mix but I have made it from scratch. You have to buy chick peas, tahini, and lemon juice. There are recipes available on the Internet. It doesn't seem to make a difference unless you are controlling sodium, or want to add a flavor not available commerically.
