Since I stopped drinking pop 3 weeks ago my stomach is no longer bloated making it look flatter. emoticon

So, the work's biggest loser contest ends next week. I have consistent lost 1/2 - 1.5 pounds every week except for the week following Memorial Day.

Aiming for 3 pounds more by next Tuesday (fingers crossed). Not doing anything crazy as that is what yo yo dieting means to me. I am planning to up my activity 60 minutes and stay within my calorie range.

Even if I don't lose 3 pounds, I should lose an inch or two (or at least be a bit more firmer).

I have about 20 pounds more to lose. I have however managed to lose 16 pounds. Thank God for that emoticon .

Wonderful!! Muscles are sexy!

I have about 15 pounds to go before I can cross the below 200 pound mark. However, I am getting a lot of attention. I think it is due to the exercise.Before I used to concentrate on cardio, but now I mix it up with strength training.

I WILL get my sexy back!

Hello Ladies,

I have been really busy so I have not been posting on the site much. I am however working very hard on bringing my sexy back. I have been doing crossfit 4-5 times a week this month. I hide my scale as I have been lifting weights and do not want to get discouraged. This is my 12 week of CF and I think I saw a new muscle today.

I hope it's not too late to join this challenge...I really need to get my sexy back, I have been up and down for the past year..Lost 23 lbs and have gained 15 back so far.. I am definately going in the wrong direction. So count me in...

I will stay within my calorie range daily.
Eat more fruits and Veggies
Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily
Exercise 1 hr Six days weekly

Life is Good...

I second that!

Consistency is what is working for me. I made a commitment to just 10 minutes every day and now it is not unusual for me to do 60 - 120 minutes on any given day. I post daily in my blog what my activity has been and that also helps me.

My attitude is so much better than before. I KNOW I will be skinny. I just don't know when. Before I did not think it was possible. I thought I was just going to always be the "plump and pretty" sista.

Hello Ladies, Love this!!!!! here to encourage

I have fallen soooo far and hard to see my way out...and have spurs on my feet doesn't help....finding a way to get rid of them and this weight.....went to a beautiful beach and to ashamed to show off my curves...more now than ever before...Ugh.

Anywho no one to blame but self...now its time I get out of this mess....

My plans are
walk stairs at work at least 5mins before checking in........along with 1day challenge{everyday}
Monday and Tuesday walk at local park 1 hour after work
Thursday 30min cardio at home
Friday 30 min cardio at home
Saturday walk at local park 1 hour

I have a closet full of clothes that I can no longer squeeze into....Energy is gone.....appetite is all day along with not the best checkup with doc....IHAVETODOTHIS. emoticon

So I am sitting at my desk meeting with a business contact and out of the blue he comments that I am glowing. (not that way). Then he asked me to dinner!

I think I am getting my sexy back.

Oh, could not go to dinner - too much of a business conflict. But still, it was nice.

Managed to drop another .8 pounds despite the Easter Holiday vacation. I just kept on exercising no matter what. When the internet connection failed and I could not do online videos, I used my DVD. And I walked.

First time, I did not gain during a holiday vacation.

I have been getting my exercise on! Everyday, I am either walking, do strength exercises or cardio. My March goal minutes have already been met!

I have not seen much in way of pounds lost, but I have received a number of compliments. I am glad I took my measurements. At the end of the month, I will re-measure.

I will be SEXXXXY!

Sorry all, crazy week. I have been working out though!.

Saturday-
18 min AMRAP
5-deadlifts (45 lbs)
10- pressups
15 box jumps at 20 inches.

I did have to do step ups instead of jumps, but I completed 5 rounds, 150 total reps!

Monday-
Warm up, 200m walking twist lunges.
air squats x 10

Work out
10 min AMRAP
35 double unders
5 press cleans
10 pull ups


Tuesday-

I forgot what the warm up was :(
18 min AMRAP
12 burpee bar jumps
5 clean snatches
15 sit ups
I did 5 reps!!

Wednesday-
Warm up
2 mins jump ropes
15 pull ups
15 dips
5 x 5 back squats with 58 lbs.
Actual work out

3 sets of 12 pull ups, 21 kettle bell swings (20 lbs) and a 400m row.

Today's workout:

Warm up with an 800m row.
Strength training with squat thrust with 25 lb bar.

The work out was 1 rope climb, 2 squat thrusts and 3 handstand push ups. AMRAP in 10 min.

I was not strong enough to do any of the standard exercises so I had to modified versions. Honestly, it was really demoralizing for me. Trying to press past my failure I have marked this day in my journal. I have made it a goal to be able to do this in the next year.

Today's work out:

Warm up 2:00 min row.
200ft walking lunges.
15 overhead squats
3 x 5 back squats ( 35lbs)

Work out:

Pyramid reps of push ups and squats 30 second rest then dead lifts and clean ups (35 lbs).

So to do this you do 1 push ups and 1 squat, then 2 push ups and 2 squats, etc until you hit 90 secs. Then you rest for 30 and do the same with the weight combo. after 90 sec you pick up where you left off on the push ups/ squats ( eg round 3) and repeat for 11:30.

Todays workout:

Warm up: 10 push up, 10 air squats, 10 pull up x2
200 ft walking squats

The work out multiple reps (3:5:7:5:3) of tricep dips, pull ups, squat lifts (36lbs)

between each rep 175 meter row and 35 sit ups.

I was going to start a new thread, but perhaps I can post here. I too wanted to get my sexy back so I started crossfit work outs last week. They are intense, but I will post them for anyone who wants to try for themselves.

Today's work out.

Warm up: 10 tricep dips and 10 pull ups, repeat 2x. Then 5 x 3 x 1 clean ups (check SP database for instructions) with increasing weight. I used 43lbs, then 53 lbs and 58lbs.

Work out: 7 sets of 7 burpees, 7 pull ups (assisted) and 7 press ups (33 lbs).


Man am I sore, but what a solid hour.

Hi Queens! I can definitely get with this plan! For way too long I'd all but given up on my ability to change my body. I have will power and positive thinking for days about nearly every other aspect of my life but slimming down and becoming lean, strong, fit and healthy ... That almost felt like an unattainable fantasy as I'd tried so many diets and failed to substantially move the needle in the past. Now, finally I've found something that works for my body and mind and Spirit and I'm working with it! My goal is to lose 200 lbs in the next year and a half. I know it's a lofty goal, but dang it I'm worth it and what's life if not for the living and fulfilling our hearts truest desires!!! I'm here to support you and be supported on our journey to goal!!! In the short term my goal is to lose at least 75 lbs by my birthday on 7/7!

Hey everybody!!!! Thanks for joining me in getting our sexy back!!!! Today, I felt so good because when I walked into work two of my co-workers told me that I look like I am slimming down. That really made me feel great because I just made the decision last week to get on the right track last week and I am already seeing results. I realized something last week that food controlled me. I eat breakfast and I am already thinking about lunch and dinner. And it doesn't help that I have a loving husband who happens to be a chef and shows me love through cooking me delicious meals. I told him the other day that I am a food addict and he's my pusher. LOL. So I need this. A place to find encouragement to stay on the right path. A place where I can find the strength to tell food...heck no.

Let's get our sexy on girls!!!!

I'm with you on this subject. I've been going to Zumba 4-5 times a week and sometimes twice a day. I'm keeping my workouts options open with lots of variety to prevent bored. I still need to tweak the meals better I've gotten off track too, many times with it.

Progress may be slow, but it happens!
No such thing as last place only finishers.
