Nah, you don't have to force yourself! Be kind to yourself remember?

If its too much to avoid, then put the other digital a'weigh!

Its a matter of shifting your thinking & words are SO powerful! The other sister-friends offer reality good suggestions. For me I can tell by my clothes which direction I'm going. No kidding just this week I tried on 2 blouses i had not worn in over a year & 1/2. I just KNEW I had gain weight, but imagine my shock & surprise when I came to discover that not only that they fit, but they were actually a bit looser!
emoticon

Normally, I'm not a big fan of surprises, but that's one I happily embraced.

You got it girlfriend!

Let that industrial scale be used for what your company have it for: crates 'n things.

You're more then that! Keep on telling yourself.

And we will too!

I weigh myself once a month and that's plenty for me. My scale is my fitness progress, and how my clothes fit not the scale. I refuse to allow the scale set my mood for the day. I think having that many scales emoticon emoticon emoticon is a little too, excessive and your letting it control you. Sale or bury two of them and put the other one away and weigh yourself once a month. Keep up with healthy eating, exercise and you will be just fine. Don't forget to change up your workouts and challenge your body. This way your body will not get accustom to the same workouts. Good luck to you on your journey.

Progress may be slow, but it happens!

Morning Ridgeview50,
I use to do the same thing about the scale only to find out that inches was better, especially to get in some clothes that I once could not. Once our team members told me the same thing. I said the heck with the scale and when I do think about it I get on and I accept what it says. Keep on walking and exercising and eating right, and the weight will keep coming off. emoticon

I have to agree LYDIASPURPLE. Too much pressure, to be scales, weighing too often Sugar! I weigh myself once a week...on Sundays. And I measure myself once a month...at the end of the month. If you are eating well and you are walking, it might be that you need to talk to your dr about the thyroid situation. I don't know much about it so I can't offer much help there. All I can say is please be *****KIND****** to yourself.

Dear Sisterfriend:

I have 2 words for you...LOSE IT!

2nd 2 words: Not YOU!

Retire the scales, put them a'weigh for awhile. Why on earth do you need 3 sets of scales AND an industrial one at work?

Two things shouted out at me in your post:

1. "especially when I feel miserable" which makes me thing you torment yourself needlessly an

2. The need to beat yourself as not a good person by the use of an INDUSTRIAL scale! Why?

No please know In not trying to be harsh. If anything I so care but your challenge just like me & others is hard enough with voluntary add more things to weigh us down,no pun intended. No it is not fun gaining weight when you want to release weight, but it does happen.

"Fall down 7, get up 8" . Shame does not bring change; shame does & can bring gain.
You can do this.

You have more courage then you think you're capable of!

Weigh to show my sister!

I have 3 sets of scales at home. One is the old fashioned kind and the other 2 are digital. The digital ones read the same weight, but the old one doesn't. When I get on the industrial scale at work, that one has the same weight as my digital scales. I weigh myself 2-3 times a week. Especially when I feel miserable. Right now U have gained 15 pounds in 2 weeks, partly because of my thyroid condition. I walk every other day, but that number is still the same. I hate feeling the way that I do right now. Gaining weight is no fun when you are trying to lost it.
