I was told by my doctor to divide your weight in half and that is who much water you should be drinking every day. I can honestly say that when I drink at least 64 oz or more I lose more weight as opposed to when I dont drink very much.

I don't drink any other liquids except water, not even coffee or tea. So I have no issue with drinking 8+ glasses of water. My body craves water if I drink less than that.

I live in a dry state. I prefer to have water as my main consumption because i still feel thirsty with any other liquid.

Several medical professionals state that there is no medical reason that necessitates drinking 8 glasses of water per day so that will not be on my list of goals. 4-5 glasses is sufficient especially if we also consume other low calorie fluids. If you are in doubt about this then ask you doctor what she/he stinks is best for you in light if your personal health status.
