It is possible to eat too much of anything unless you are talking about green veggies. Green veggies are low in calories and sugar and are full of nutrients. Everything else must be eaten in moderation. But I will say its better to eat fruit than junk so you are on the right track just cut back and maybe drink more water. Sometimes we eat when we are dehydrated and should be drinking water. Water keeps us from overeating if we drink enough of it.

I'm starting to notice how I eat more fruits than veggies. I don't think it's good for me, but like Blakandi said, over eating fruit is way better that over eating on something else that is not as healthy for you.
I agree fruit (sugar) is the culprit when it comes to weight gain, keeping on fat and causing Diabetes. When I took about 95% of sugar out of my diet I saw a drastic decrease in my water retention, I started losing weight more on a consistent basis and I didn't crave crap to eat. I started adding fruits back into my diet once my body became stable and added it back slowly over time. I never over eat fruit. I'll have my require servings in the right amounts and call it a day.
Like I said before it's better to overeat on fruits and veggies than it is crap so if you get in the mood for eating watermelon then go ahead and it, but take down how much you ate so you can deduct it from the next day fruit servings. So you're eating more today and less tomorrow.
I love watermelon too and I eat my fair share of it. But I try to be careful because its glycemic index is relatively high at 72. Even though I try to focus on food with a low glycemic index, watermelon still is at the top of my list.

I don't eat bananas because the GI is high or any fruit high on the GI (glycemic index) except strawberries and when I do I don't eat much. I don't eat watermelon or any melons because I retain water...bleh.
But but but...overeating on fruits and veggies is better than eating a cookie or popcorn at the theatre because they are natural and not processed. But I do get into a crazy place and will over eat grapes when I get the urge to eat and that's the week before Aunt Flo comes to town.
Anyway, 2 cups of watermelon in one setting is fine.
Please watch your watermelons, kiwi and bananas and there are a couple of other fruits too that are good for you but to much of a good thing, well you know what they say. I was eating my banana every day sometimes two and if I had a watermelon I could eat it breakfast, lunch and dinner. All good for you, fiber cleans you out and less fattening but guess what happened to me I became a stage 4 which is one stage away from dyalise of kidney fail because too much potassium was getting to my kidneys and according to the doctor your kidney's make their own potassium and what I was eating was good for me, it became bad I stop for two weeks only eating sparely and I went back down to a 0, that was a scarily feeling to know I was almost ready to send myself to the kidney machine for doing something I thought was right but it was to much of a good thing. So all I'm saying is watch your intake, I wouldn't want the same thing to happen to you that happened to me and that was just 4 months ago Good luck.
