I just had a colonoscopy and endoscopy last week. I had similar findings. Acid reflux but he also did find a polyp with the colonoscopy.

Definitely yes!!
My gastro was able to diagnose my IBS and acid reflux, as well as perform my colonoscopy.
Also got excellent advice on food choices, presciption meds and alternatives therapy.....using aloe has helped my GI bleeding.

My gastro is awesome. We ruled out a bunch of stuff. I don't eat cheese, chocolate or certain vegetables any more because they're triggers for me. Also, he put me on Citrucel. Wow...so much better. I didn't realize how much pain I was in until it had significantly decreased. I only wished I had gone sooner!

YES, DEFINATELY!!! a gasroenterologist can schedule the tests you need. That will let you know what treatment options you have. You don't have to suffer. I did cause I put off the tests I needed. There is hope.

For those of you who see a specialist, has it helped you? I am suffering such pain and misery and don't know if there is anything that can be done. Right now it just feels hopeless.
