I don't do milk meaning that I don't drink it. However, I do each cheese and yogurt and icecream. I am going to eliminate it from my diet and see what happens. So no kefir for me.

Slow and steady wins the race.

I had a severe bout of D last evening after drinking a glass of milk. I truly have a terrible problem with milk products.

I went to the Health Food store and asked her about it. She didn't recommend it because she believes that MIlk is not good for IBS sufferers. But I still would like to try it.

Have a great weekend!

Kefir, huh? Sounds really interesting! Could you maybe post some of the websites that you've found? I personally have never heard of this stuff, but I would like the info. to pass on to some of my fellow sufferers! Thanks!

I have no experience with Kefir but I'm willing to try it...it's worth it if it helps :)

Thanks for sharing MM...

I have what I lovingly call IBS-switch, but D-predominant. The vicious cycle kind.

Well, recently I was reading the SparkPeople Cookbook and they recommend drinking a glass of milk with practically every meal! Blech! For one, I can't stand the taste of milk and for two, I don't tolerate it very well, either. So I was poking around and thinking, drinkable yogurt, perfect!

And then started researching kefir. A lot of websites say it helps alleviate IBS problems and symptoms including gas, diarrhea, constipation and cramping.

Anyone give it a shot or have any personal experience to share?
