Glad you have found MOM to work for you. I've tried a lot of things over the past year and that is the best for me too. Just hate the taste, even with the cherry flavoring but hey, it works! And like you said, it's gentler.

My mother loved to recommend MoM and she was so right. I keep the cherry flavored one in the house and can't tell you how often it has helped. Not every time but it is definitely a must-have.

Anything that would bring relief would be most welcome, however I hate liquid remedies...does it come in pill form? if so, I am adding it to my list! I have tried just about everything ove the years & nothing works really well & of late, it is even worse, so I am sooo ready to find something that will help!

Hey all,

Sounds like good news all around. Now I have a bad case of d, which is my normal way to go with IB, I think it happened when I tried a new sugar called Zero, it's organic fermented sugar with no calories that gets processed in your upper digestive system and not supposed to cause any GI problems, either that or I have the noro virus that's going around.....I ended up taking some G2 to get my electrolytes and some fluid into me. Never rains it poors, speaking of which we will have some very soon.

Anyway the one good thing, (gotta find positive in everything :) my computer is next to the washroom lol...........

The title of your post made me smile, so thanks for that first. Also, I'm definitely going to try the old MoM trick. I've been a Mylanta girl, so I'm going to branch on on the milky stomach treats. I have news to share also. I've got a new doctor, and he was dismayed to find that I was diagnosed with IBS without ever having had a colonoscopy. He says that was a diagnosis that should have been made after ruling out other, perhaps functional problems. So... you guessed it, one colonoscopy (much dreaded) coming up. Tell me it won't be so bad. Next news, the doc put me on Topamax for restless legs with the added side effect/benefit of weight loss! Yes! I'm excited. I'll let you know how it goes. It does already seem to have an additional side effect/benefit of completely relieving my TMJ ... so how about that? Have a great day, everyone!

OK, so after a month and a half of constipation and trying various remedies, I was pleasantly surprised to discover how well MoM works!! Not wanting to sound like a commercial, this stuff really is GENTLE yet EFFECTIVE....

It does the job without all the cramping, I can go to work the next day. You can take just a little for an upset stomach or ramp up the dose to whatever you need for a laxative type purpose. It seems to be safe to take on a regular basis, is safe for children to take in smaller doses. The flavoured version doesn't taste half bad.

Just wanted to share something easy and cheap that worked for me in case someone else hasn't tried it lately!
