Hi all,

There is actually an old Chinese saying about eating until you're 80% full, and then your tummy catches up in about 20 minutes. If you were still hungry after that perhaps add a few more bites or have some water. It is very true, tho not always easy to be mindful of the fact. I try to practice mindful eating, tho admittedly it's not easy. I just know the grief I get if I overeat especially now that I'm more in the habit of 80%.

Good luck all....

I would eat slowly and when you get to the point that you feel slightly full, quit there. I am not sure about the 2nd part, because I never can tell if it will be safe to leave the house.

Unfortunately, the first part is a problem for me if it is something I like a lot. Then I end up eating more for taste than because I am hungry. That is one of my biggest problems. I don't do that as often anymore, but I still have the problem of doing it.

I usually stop eating when I still feel a little hungry. I read someplace that it takes your stomach a little time for it to know that it is full. If you keep eating because you still feel a little hungry then you will stuff yourself!

How do you know when you're stomach has enough..... And if it had enough how do you know you can go shopping or to the movies and making it through without feeling like you're going to explode.
