I have also wasted money on supplements etc...the most recent was probiotics..however I think it was the brand I bought because they actually made me worst. I try and get samples of any supplement I buy now...the last being the Shelled Hemp Hearts. I did buy them in a health food store ...however I requested a sample before I purchased. Not sure what others use...but I only use 1 tsp or less of cinnamon my oatmeal. I have also put it along with a bit of natural honey in warm water. Helps soothes the tummy.

Does it matter how much cinnamon you use? Sometimes the amounts that actually help are way more than one would consume normally. I will check into hemp hearts at the health food store. Thanks. Although the money spent on probiotics I got there was wasted so I'm afraid to spend more. I assume they must be purchased at health food stores?

I'm certainly agreeing with that on the cinammon and soothing spices. Camomille is another good one. I've been doing alot of stuff with that and hemp seeds, hulled and use them in oatmeal, they're known to be an anti inflammatory, so why not.
Sounds like something I should look into. While we're talking about this, I'd like to add that I find certain spices to be comforting and/or stimulating for my digestive system. I drink a lot of herbal teas ... right now I'm having hot cinnamon spice tea. Fabulous and so soothing in more ways than one.
Some of you might be interested in reading about cinnamon and its health benefits, including (the latest) for diabetes.
They are a seed.... but for more info.. google Hemp Hearts...it will give you so much information. My ND suggested I try them. I started them on Friday and so far they are working great for me. You can put them on any food or just eat as is. I find them very easy to digest!.
