Today I went to see my cardiologist/ I got a new prescription. I also called my family doctor and explained my sinus infection not clearing up. He called in a different prescription to my pharmacy. It will be so nice to feel better again.

Have a great week, everyone.

Donna - last Saturday, a week ago, I went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics and cough meds. The antibiotics may have helped a little but not much. I may have to go back.

Linda, I hate to hear you are still battling your sinus infection. Have you been to the doctor?

Cardiologist may not be happy, but at least he can work with you to come up with a plan to reduce the cholesterol.

Thank you. On night three of the new meds. Going to give it a month before I decide if it's helping or not.

Have a good week

I cannot believe that I still cannot get over this sinus infection. I am so ready to get well. Little exercise today. But my D is not acting up. I have an appointment with the cardiologist tomorrow. My cholesterol is very high and he is not going to be happy since I have heart disease.

Angling - I certainly hope that your new meds help. It is so rough having issues such as this and feel helpless as if nothing is there to help.

Janette - hope that you have a good week at work.

I have heard that some people after they have their gallbladder removed can have issues if they eat anything fatty. That it can just go right through them and they can have to run to the bathroom with out the cramping and pain. And can make it easy for them to have accidents if they can't get to a bathroom fast enough.

Linda, yes I can get D anywhere. Happens frequently when I'm grocery shopping. Awful. I've completely had an accident when I didn't have time to find the restroom. My doctor prescribed Amitriptyline 25mg this week. I'm picking up the prescription today. I hope it helps. He says IBS-D and functional diarrhea are basically the same, except with the cramping and pain, I guess.

Today I finally felt good enough to get in a good walk, almost 3 miles. After the sinus infection, I am really glad to be getting some energy back. I did go to the grocery store to pick up a few items. The weather was good, but hot and humid. We expect a lot of rain tomorrow.

I was busy with work for a bit there, but I think it is settling back down for a bit now. I am supposedly off until Monday morning, and not expecting any calls or emails from work, but I never know. Our weather had been getting to me too with the heat, in the 90's or more. I don't do well with heat. Luckily today is cooler and breezy. But we are going to start warming up again each day until we are hot again on Sunday, Monday and maybe Tuesday, and then slowly cool down again. I made myself some carrot juice for today and tomorrow for the first time. I cut up four carrots really small and put them in my bullet mixer and kept adding water until I got it where I wanted it. I will have to pick up more carrots and frozen berries and such when I go to the store next.

I hope you are all doing well, all my best to you always. Janette

I hope you are both feeling better asap. Luckily I am still doing good with mine. I had to run several errands for work today and one for myself after work too. So I ended up getting in almost 5 miles and over 11k steps in a short time today. It is really warm out there still today. Going to check my messages and then go sit in front of a fan

Angling - I don't know much about FG. However, it sounds like you can get D with no warning or pains. I imagine that must be terrible. Can you be anywhere and this just happens? WOW. All my best to you. Let us know what the doctor can do for you.

Janette - glad that you are feeling well. You are going to have a hot day again.I think you are right. The D may be coming from antibiotics. It happened again today.

Sorry, No. All my best to you always.

It's 7 am now and we are in the 60's and working up to around 90 again today here. That is hot enough for me. I am off to work again, I will crank the a/c and get a lot of walking in with work and running errands afterwards. Take care

Thinking I have FG, functional diarrhea, instead of IBS-D. Scheduling an appointment with my gastro doc to discuss. I never have any stomach pain or cramps - just unexpected diarrhea or loose stools, primarily in stressful situations. Sometimes certain food seems to be a contributing factor. Anyone heard of FG?

Thanks! Yes, it could be the medicines. Some antibiotics can cause issues like that. The bf had it bad when he was on antibiotics for his dental work.

I am still suffering with a sinus infection. At least I guess I should be better soon because of the meds I am taking. Today I was hit with an explosion D just out of the blue. I had not eaten poorly. I am not certain what happened. It didn't happen long and soon was over. I wonder if it is the meds? I thought the side effects mentioned a possibility of C.

Janette - you are doing so well with your walking. Congrats!

Good afternoon everyone. All my best to you always. Seems my boss went back to Chicago Friday afternoon for some sort of emergency and didn't let me know until today after I called and left him a msg and sent him an email too.

I walked over 4 miles today in a short time for work and errands. Now I have tomorrow off, WooHoo! I will go back to work Wednesday morning.

Take care

Yes, it is so sad that people don't always try to turn things in that they find, or they get turned in and someone there decides to keep it instead of holding it for the owner. Or people steal other peoples stuff. I hope someone decides to do the right thing and gets it back to you.

I sat around all dressed up, all day yesterday waiting for my boss to call me into work, and nothing. No call, no email! I was suppose to go in sometime after 2 pm, but he was suppose to call me when he was done running errands and at our office ready to talk to me before taking off to Chicago again so we could tie up any loose ends at the office before he leaves.

So now it starts all over again today. I was tired this morning, especially from the heat wave we are having, and from being bored all day waiting for a call that never came. But I got up, got showered and all dressed up again for work, and now it is another waiting game. I will be hanging out by the fans in the house waiting to see if I have to go in.

Maybe he will just call me or email me with what ever info he wants me to know before he takes off to Chicago, instead of making me come in the office just so he can talk to me.

I still have my cold and aggravated by it. But I did go to the hospital waiting room where my son in law was having surgery. There was a large mass on his shoulder. However, they do believe it is benign. Of course, they are doing a biopsy.

Janette - thank you so much. Yes, I have searched everywhere for my phone. I went back today to where Iost it. I went to security and lost and found. No luck. It really bothers me. I know that I will get another phone. But just knowing that someone else may have it irks me. The day before I lost the phone, I had found car keys on a bench in front of a grocery store. I took them to the store employees for when she returned. Too bad that the same thing didn't happen for me.

I had no IBS issues today. But I had a lousy day. I have a cold and sore throat. I went to a public place and ended up losing my phone. I went to security, the cleaning lady, etc. No one found it. I had to call and turn off the service. The worst thing is that one of my daughters gave it to me as a gift. I will check with security, one more time, tomorrow. ugh! I hope Friday is better than Thursday has been.

Good afternoon! I went to work early this morning and parked, and then walked to a local restaurant to meet a couple of ladies from an internet group I belong to besides, SP. Had a nice visit, then walked back to work for a bit. Ran some errands for my boss and then headed home. I got in over 5.75 miles already early today.

My mom and sister had issues way before me. So the family was already use to it. I usually only have issues when under lots of stress. Like problems at work or that. So I don't have a lot of problems all the time with it.

And foods don't normally set me off. My food issues is heart burn or acid reflex that developed with gallstones in just the last several yrs.

My bf has more issues than me usually as he had his gallbladder removed and fats can just run right through him, but he doesn't want to change his diet like he was supposed to do.

But the heart burn thing of mine can be an issue with him, as sometimes things bother me and sometimes they don't. But I am supposed to stay away from greasy and fried foods. Acidly foods can bother me too. Like tomato sauce doesn't always agree with me, so sometimes I can eat pizza with no problems and other times I don't even want to try. Garlic and ginger can sometimes bother me too. Even though ginger is suppose to be good for stomach issues.

When I am under stress and having issues I will wear or carry adult diaper things with me just in case. I haven't had to do it for a few yrs now, and luckily when I did wear them or take them, I never needed them. But they gave me peace of mind just having them.

Wow, I got no notifications again. I'm like Linda, can eat something one time and not the next day. Now I am having problems with a lot of things that I usually can eat. I try eating a small omelet, but that will set me off. Takes less than a half hour. Had a tuna melt the other day (on tomato instead of bread) and that set me off. Couldn't eat beef, either. I am doing okay with chicken and the crab cakes from Kings (Krogers) are okay.

I have stopped the things with artificial sweeteners. I never had problems with the stevia and have been using it for almost 12 years. Only now I don't like it in any of the hot tea that I have here. Instead I have honey. I like it in iced tea, but for about a year I have been doing the iced tea without any sweetening. Sometimes I still need something and will use a little stevia, but usually not. I just need to cut down on the sweet stuff anyway.

Countrycarol1 - I absolutely understand. No one in my family really understands how hard it is for me to find foods that will not aggravate my IBS symptoms. For one reason, I often can eat one item and it will not bother me. The next day I can eat the same item and it will bother me. It is so difficult. When I am with others, I normally stay away from salad because lettuce and certain items can cause a lot of gas for me. I also drink a lot of water and try to walk. It often helps me. You are fortunate to be able to eat cheese. That normally aggravates my digestive tract. Good luck. I hope that you find items that will not bother you.

I am planning on going up north to my Aunt's house next week. I am quite concerned about the food of course. I tried to explain to my sister my concerns. She said for me not to make a big deal out of it. Obviously, I want to plan ahead to avoid having an attack which I call it. I have been doing so well on the Fodmap diet. I do not eat red meats, avoid lunch meats, limit my dairy (I can have cheese, but have almond milk instead of regular milk). I have problems with too much fiber so I have to be careful with cereals with a lot of fiber and fruits. Does anyone else have the problem with family members just not getting what we go through visiting people or going to restaurant. I was also told they go out for pizza. I have problems with pizza too. I told her I would not be going, she said "I'm sure there is something there you can eat". I cannot eat greasy foods & doubt a pizza joint will have healthy foods.

I had a good morning. I went to get a haircut and a facial. However, the enjoyment did not last long. Hubby has been sick for a few days. I got an appt for him at the doctor, surprised I could get in so fast. He is diagnosed with bronchitis. Happy that we have meds for him now so he can heal. Also, ran to the pharmacy to get his prescription and picked up a few items in the store. Tomorrow I have an eye appt to see if the doctor will do cataract surgery. My eyes are getting so bad at this time. It is not easy to see everything At least my belly is feeling okay.

Saturday I did my third walking tour of Escondido. There was 4 ladies counting the guide for this walking tour. I think when I did it the two times in 2015 that there was probably about a dozen or so of us. They were all a lot of fun. If I don't have to work Saturday, July 8th, I will do the next one, it is going to be on some old homes to the west of where I live.

I posted about the walks in here, and also in my profile in My Fitness Pal, and also in Facebook on a group page I belong to for ladies in Escondido that are 50 +. One of the ladies that showed up Saturday saw my posting on Facebook and decided to join me at the last minute. We had never met before or even chatted on Facebook before. She is kind of new to the group, and I haven't been able to attend any of their events for a long time since I have been working and busy. I didn't even see her response to my post because she responded after I had already left for the walk. The other lady has been in Escondido for about 12 yrs. I think she might have actually been on at least one of the walks I did in 2015? At least she looked familiar, and looked like someone in some of the photographs I had just looked at recently from then. She said she lives several blocks to my south and walks all over Escondido all the time. So I will have to keep my eyes out for her when I am out and about. And check those old photos again. The lady from FB is going to try to met up with me again and some ladies from the Escondido group for some events that some of the ladies from that group have already scheduled. They have a breakfast gathering this Thursday close to my house that I will go to if I don't have to work then. It will be at a French Bakery Restaurant on Grand Ave. It was on the Walking Tour Saturday. I had actually been to that restaurant once before with the ladies from Facebook, probably a couple of years ago.

I only took a couple of pictures before the walk of a few of the commercial buildings since I knew that was what the tour was going to be on this time. But didn't take any pictures on the actual tour. As we were such a small group we were doing a lot of personal chatting and discussing the commercial buildings and the history of our City. The guide had several really neat old pictures of what the commercial buildings on that street looked like at the start of our City in the late 1800's. They were really neat, and I hadn't seen them before. I thought they looked so much better than any pictures I could take now, especially with my cheap old flip phone. I am going to look online and try to find some of them to post for you all. I did take a picture of what use to be the first bank, but it has really changed and is no longer a bank. I also took a picture of the AT&T building. I remember hearing something about it in one of my previous tours. I need to do some research on it, I think it was an old PacBell building, and not sure what they said before that. There is a boarded up furniture store that use to where a hospital was. We have several buildings that are empty downtown right now, and a Church and some schools are taking over some of them, but some of them we don't have any idea what is going to happen to them yet. Even Draper's and Damon's fashion store that we meet in front of has just closed down. It is sad to see so many stores closed. A lot of them moved to our local malls, but some just went out of business.

I think next months tour will gather more people from Escondido because it is going to be about our old historic homes that are still here and are in pretty much their same state as original. Where as the commercial buildings have changed a lot over time, and had lots of different types of businesses taking them over and making changes.

I walked a mile from my house to the meet up spot for my free guided tour. Got there early and walked around waiting for the tour. Did the 1.5 hour tour. And then walked the mile back home. It was nice at first, not too cold or too hot. There was a nice cool breeze. As we were walking west it got windier for a little bit as we were walking on the south side of the main street of Escondido, Grand Ave. But then we we crossed the street and started to walk east to see the other side of the street, and the sun was shining. So it was warm, but not too warm. It was a perfect day to take a long stroll. I ended up walking over 6.5 miles, so my feet need a rest. Not planning on doing anything else today.

I got in a walk today but a bit less than yesterday. We ate a buffet today. Hoping that I don't have a D flare up. I know buffets can really hurt me. I also woke up with a terrible headache and neck pain. I keep experiencing the neck issues and it is really bothering me.

Thanks, I got in over 7.5 miles with work and all. Doing good. Had something happen the end of the last two weeks, not sure what it was. I think it was to do with my kidneys and bladder the most though. But luckily it seems over now.

The bf has been having a lot of stomach issues lately, but I think it is from the antibiotics and other medicines he has been on for his dental work. He had a lot of teeth removed and has been on soft food diet for weeks while he is waiting for his new dentures. They keep coming up with excuses for not having them ready for him yet.

I am feeling pretty well. I had a bit of a flare up of D a couple of days ago. But it seemed to be short lived. I am feeling better now. I have not been eating after dinner and that always seems to help me. I am also keeping hydrated and exercising.

Happy Thursday. I hope that you are all feeling well.

Hello to you all! I hope you are all having a great day. We are having a cooler day in Escondido, Ca. In the 60's and creeping up into the 70's later, we still have some fog out there that hasn't burned off yet. I am enjoying the cooler temps. We have been having some foggy and misty mornings on and off here, and really light scattered showers on and off too lately. Yesterday was supposed to be clearer and sunnier but it was foggy and misting on me as I went to work. We were supposed to have scattered showers late in the evening last night, and into this morning, and throughout the day. But now it seems like it is supposed to just be later tonight into tomorrow. We have been cooler 60's and 70's, to low 80's. I am enjoying the cooler weather.

Good afternoon to you all! I have the day off today. Wasn't feeling good last night or this morning. Lots of aches and pains, so taking it easy today. I could barely just drink water and eat a banana this morning, when the cramping and pressure started again. I took another Aleve and more apple cider vinegar, and then got stabbing pain instead. Felt like it might have been a kidney stone for bit there this morning. But feeling a little better now. I finished the banana and made some oatmeal, but really didn't feel like eating at all today. I am just going to take it easy today. I will probably take a nap in a little bit.

My boss is still in Chicago right now. I had clients and my boss calling and emailing me yesterday wanting stuff, so I was running back and forth from my desk, to my bosses computer for files, and the back file room for files. And then went to the post office and other places for work too. So I got in almost 5 miles yesterday before noon with it all. I am working shorter days and less days now that the tax dead line is over. Now I am off until Monday morning. I might end up helping an old high school friend move from Ramona, CA to a part of town in San Diego, CA called Clairemont this weekend. Depends on if she needs extra help.

Thanks Linda! I got in almost 5 miles today with work and errands all before noon.

Luckily this week didn't go so bad. I got a call last Thursday evening from the lady that works at the other office in San Diego that a couple of our clients where wanting to see the boss. One client wanted their taxes done and she was hoping the lady could come to see me for it. I had to tell her that I don't have a license to do that type of work anymore. That since she is license she could do it, or they client could drop their info off to me and I would get it to the boss, or they could just wait for the boss to get back to do it. But I wasn't expecting the boss back for a couple of weeks yet. Then their was another client that she said was wanting a copy of his 2013 tax return, so I told her I would call him Friday about it.
So Friday I mainly went to check the mail, and while I was there I did payroll for two accounts that didn't want to wait to Tuesday to do theirs. And the boss was calling and emailing me wanting stuff and I forgot all about the guys old tax return.
I went home and took some work with me to do at home, as my stomach and bladder started to act up on me.

I have been having stomach cramps, back aches, and bladder and or kidney acting up on and off lately. Not sure what it is about. Some bloating, some constipation feeling on and off. But mostly aching back and some stomach cramping on and off. And then when the bladder/kidney gets involved too, it gets really annoying. Doesn't burn like an infection, just lots of pressure, and constant feeling like I have to pee, and yet sometimes I can hardly get anything out, and other times I am just peeing and peeing right after each other. And some times my right side oblique muscle is getting in on the act too. Luckily it hasn't really interfered with work. It seems to act up more as I am suppose to already be off of work or getting off work, or when I am already home. More in the evening time after dinner too.

I started changing up what I was eating and drinking to see if it helped, but didn't so far. Maybe the spicy hummus is bothering me. Or maybe too much sugar, even natural, from bananas, or trail mix with dried fruit? I got some Kashi cereal yesterday to eat instead of bagels, or trail mix. But I did pick up bananas and I had one of them the last two days too. Could be something else I am eating, the tea I am drinking? So I will start eliminating stuff and see if it helps. Luckily no "D", and luckily it isn't interfering with really with work. Just making my evening and nights uncomfortable at times mostly.

I just took it easy Sat, Sun and Monday, and glad no one bothered me as my body was bugging me.

Tuesday I called the client about his old return and didn't find anything in his hard file on it, but could see stuff in the system, but I couldn't tell if it had been filed, it didn't look like it, as it wasn't just showing 1040, or 1040 A, or such, it was showing 1040, A, EZ, etc, like it hadn't been selected yet. So I questioned the guy before printing anything out, and finally got him to admit that it hadn't been finished and filed yet. He knew that, but was wasting my time having me look for something to give him a copy of that I couldn't legally do. I told him I would have to have the boss call him and make an appointment with him to finish it up before he could get a copy of it. Other wise my Tuesday wasn't bad. Yesterday, my boss had me close the office really early and run errands for him, and kept emailing me back and forth at home needing my help with stuff for another client. Today went pretty easy and now I am supposedly off until Monday morning.

But of course my stomach started acting up after dinner again, and then my back got in with it and then the bladder too. I took an Aleve for the back and stomach. I took some apple cider vinegar in cranberry juice for the bladder. And it is all slowly feeling better again.

I had already told an old high school friend that I would help her move this weekend if she wanted my help. She wasn't sure if she would need my help, she is suppose to call me if she needs me. So I hope my stomach feels better if she needs me. Otherwise I will probably just take it easy again this weekend.

Take care

For the past couple of days I have been feeling pretty well. Having some headaches and neck aches - but no D which makes me happy. I am keeping busy with walking and also going to the gym on some days. We had family over to our house which was great. However, no D from any of the food.

Jeanette - I am so happy that you had the holidays off. Sounds like you got in some great exercise minutes. I hope that you are feeling well.

Thanks! I had to deal with some emails and calls back and forth with the boss Friday. Nothing yesterday. I told my boss I would listen and respond to any phone calls that came in this weekend, especially on Monday. But he said to just enjoy my weekend off and not to answer any calls from clients until Tuesday. So it doesn't sound like he is planning on calling or emailing me this weekend. But I bet Tuesday will be crazy.

I have been keeping up with exercise. Most of the time I am going to the gym. I had a good week although, I have developed a stiff neck. With the stiff neck, also getting a lot of headaches. We went out to dinner this evening. I really had a great meal. I hope that I don't get any side effects from it.

Janette - you are certainly getting in a lot of steps. That's great. I hope that your boss doesn't call you with work Sunday or Memorial Day.

Darlene - I also like to eat popsicles and things like that. But of course, as you say, you have to work about sugar and sweetener.

I already got in 30 mins of exercise today. I didn't get to weigh in as the boy was watching “YouTube” videos on the TV the Wii is hooked up to. So I just skipped it this morning. As like to weigh in first thing in the morning before I eat and drink. And the boy was going to be using the TV until late in the afternoon. Then he is going to his mom's for a while. I think he will be back later today or tonight. I think he will be with us most of this three day weekend.

I had to go into work yesterday. I was supposed to just go in for an hour, but ended up there for longer. And then I had to run some errands for work. And then I had to come home and do some stuff for work too. And I still have more stuff I have to do for work this weekend before going back to work on Tuesday morning. But I did manage to get in over 4 miles walking in the short hours I was at work and running errands for work yesterday. I didn't track before I went to work and stopped tracking after I got home too yesterday.

I got in almost 6 miles yesterday with work, errands and such. We have been in the 90's or high 80's. The weather is changing though and we are in the 70's today with scattered showers in the forecast for the next two nights and then all day and night Friday.

I got called into work yesterday when I was suppose to be off, so I got off today instead. I should be off Thursday too. And then will go in late in the afternoon Friday just to run a couple of payrolls and check the mail. Then I will be off until Tuesday morning supposedly.

aspartame and a lot of the other artificial sweeteners are really bad for you from what I have read. And there is one that is related to Sulfa that makes me really sick, headaches, itching and hives, rash on face and all.

I use to drink a lot of Crystal Lite drinks until I started to read and hear about the bad chemicals in it. Stopped cold turkey. Some of those artificial sweeteners are even linked to cancer and other issues.

I don't think there has been enough time and testing done to really know how stevia and some of the newer ones are really going to effect us, so I stay away from them. Look how long it took to say some of the old ones could be linked to cancer. And yet some that are linked are still not off the market, as big money/business keep them on just like cigarettes/tobacco.

I will use regular sugar in moderation, or preferably honey, or natural fruit and juice. High fructose in moderation too. But no chemicals or genetically modified stuff if I can easily see from the label that it is in it. Sometimes they try to not label things, they want to make it harder for us to know if chemicals or genetically modified stuff are in our foods, the government helps protect big business more than us. They will use the excuse that they are too short on funds and employees to really test everything.

I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to anything either. The only thing I am thinking is like I will get serious about not having so much sugar and will get something like the fruit bars I am having with no sugar added. They are small, like they make Popsicles and Fudgsicles nowadays, but I eat too many anyway. I would prefer they just made fruit bars with no sugar or sweetener or, if they aren't naturally sweet things, just reduce the sugar (but then they usually add aspartame or high fructose corn syrup anyway). After all, who needs to add sugar to grapes? Those are naturally sweet. Orange ones you could certainly get used to without added sugar. The raspberry might be a struggle for a while since they are naturally a bit sour but also with a sweetness of their own. I just can't go anywhere anymore and it is really making me mad.

No, I do not drink diet soda. However, there are days that I will have sugar. It seems that there are just no rhyme of reason that I get gas so often. I have tried to the elimination method stillno real answer. I also don't use any artificial sweetener.

Do Y'all drink diet pop or use artificial sweeteners like Nutra Sweet and Splenda? I just read a blog about someone who was drinking diet pop and she had a lot of gut problems because of it. She was diagnosed with MS, but it turned out she didn't have it. When she stopped drinking the diet pop she got better. I was reading about it because of the start of that saying the problem with the gut spasms. It seems that every time I try to eat healthier and not have sugar, but I still want something sweet, I get somethings with the Nutra Sweet ingredient and maybe that is when I can't stop having problems with the IBS.

II started back to exercising today. I didn't get much done, but it's a start. I had stopped when I was in the Passion Play and just never got back to going to the gym since then.

Other than allergies, I am feeling well. I have had a lot of problem with gas. It is so irritating. I take so much OTC meds and drink herbal teas. But most of the time nothing helps. I never know what I can and cannot eat. I will more than likely feel gassy afterwards.

I am doing well. Had a good doctor's visit this week. I have been walking and eating fairly well. Hope that the weekend continues to be good.

I wouldn't ever make it if I had to do all that. So good that you haven't been having problems since and didn't have while you were working on that.

It turns out the doctor I messaged was the attending, not the one I actually saw, though he came in, too. So I got a reply from him that he was forwarding my message to the other guy. When I was out today I was fortunate enough to make it to the store without anything happening. I was afraid I was going to have trouble while the guy was trying to get my truck started, but didn't. Thankful for that.

I hope you both feel better asap. I hadn't had any real issues with IBS for sometime now. When I did the fear of something happening was the worse. Just wearing adult diaper, or at least having one with me when I had to work in my sister's storage unit really helped. I think I just wore it one or two days, and then just carried one with me after that. As the bathroom was too far away from her unit. And I had to put all the stuff I had pulled out of her unit back in it and lock it up so no one would take it, and then walk to the bathroom, and punch in a special code to get into the bathroom too. After that never had any issues again.

I have been trying to keep things under control and had some success for a while. Now I am having a lot of problems again. Or maybe still. I cannot go anywhere without a problem. Anyone have any ideas? I wrote to that GI doctor I went to summer, but I doubt he will even answer since he was not interested in helping with matters last year when I saw him.

Linda, I'm sorry you have been having tummy problems. Hope that will clear up soon.

Janette, congrats on your weight loss.

I have been going up and down just a little with my weight. I am hoping that I can keep it down in the 100s and go lower too.

I had a bad case of D today. I think an argument with my husband earlier, may have helped fuel it. But also some of the food also contributed. I did get in a great exercise workout at the gym today. Hope to do the same tomorrow. Hopefully, will feel better.

Janette - congrats on your weight loss and exercise!!

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your stomach. Luckily with all going on mine is still doing fine. I am having more of an issue with sleeping. I am having a hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep. I think it is from stress. My mind not wanting to shut off. I have been tired a lot too, because I am not sleeping well.

My boss took off to Chicago for a few weeks right after the tax deadline. I haven't even seen him yet, just spoke to him on the phone and in emails. I guess he just got back in town and is wanting to get back to Chicago asap from what he told me this afternoon. So I guess he just came back to take care of some reports that need to go out. I have no idea how long he will be gone this time either, but I am guessing a few more weeks, and then he will have to come back to do reports again.

My schedule for the rest of the week are up in the air tonight took. I guess he will call me or email me late tonight or tomorrow to let me know if he wants me to come in tomorrow, or Friday or both.

I have had an icky tummy for the past couple of days. I went to a seminar today regarding IBS. It was informative. Some of the things I already knew. It looks like rain again for the next few days. But at least it is warm.

Thanks Linda! I hope you are feeling better asap and it stays that way. I am still fine with IBS, even with all going on.

It can get frustrating at times, but at least he pays me well, and there are a lot of times I am just getting paid good bucks just to sit there with nothing to do, but wait on clients that don't show and don't call. Today I am off again and so far I just had one client call to confirm he wants to come in tomorrow to pay us. So that is good and was a really short call, so didn't mind it at all.

I was having a lot of problems with my computer on and off yesterday in here too, maybe some was SP, and maybe some Google's Chrome, or other issues.

I got in 4.02 miles Monday, Tuesday was spent by the computer, so didn't get a lot of miles in and didn't even put my watch on to track stuff that day since I was off work. Wed I got 4.77 miles. Today is going to be like Tuesday. I am off work and haven't even put my watch on. Just taking it easy. The kid will go to his mom's house after school today and our house will be quiet with him gone until next Tuesday night I think. I am looking forward to a quiet and relaxing weekend!

My boss should be coming back home sometime next week, and I am sure the ofc will be crazy for a bit.

I tried to respond to this thread yesterday.. The computer froze. I don't know if it was Spark or my computer. Very frustrating. I had a little problem with D yesterday. It was very irritating because I had plans with family to go out to dinner. I took Imodium and did go out. Today I feel better. The weather is rainy and cool. But I really need to go out and do some grocery shopping.

Janette - my walk yesterday was about like yours. I walked over 4.1 miles. I stayed close to home since I was having problems with D. So sorry that your boss is demanding, in my opinion, calling you so often even on your days off..

I hope you are all doing well.

Unplanned things took up the time I should have been doing my payroll Monday at work. And then my day off Tuesday was mostly spent in front of the computer at home waiting for what was supposed to be a really important email that never came, just like my time off Monday night.

And today, I got up early and went into the office trying to get caught up. But was distracted with calls and emails from the boss again, instead of getting to concentrate on my bookkeeping that is going to be due next week. But it was not as bad as Monday.

Now I have tomorrow off, and luckily I am not expecting my boss to call or email me, so I don't plan to spend my whole day in front of the computer again.

It has been really warm here the last few days in the 80's. But supposedly cooler weather, and thunderstorms are on the way again. Friday & Sat, storms are come in. And best chance of lots of rain, and even snow in local mountains is Sunday and Monday from what they are saying. The snow will be at least an hour from us, and we won't drive there to see or play in it.

I plan on taking advantage of the cooler weather to catch up on more house work and laundry. Maybe get rid of some recyclable items.

I got in 4.02 miles of walking with work and errands for a total of 4.77 from this morning exercise and work, and 10,546 steps for those two also. Janette

I had a long busy day yesterday, my boss is still in Chicago and he kept calling and emailing me all day and night needing me to scan in info and email it to him. I have the day off today, but I am still waiting for him to sign some papers and email them back to me so I can get it to our ofc landlord. I might have to go and meet the landlord later today, or he might just email it to the landlord himself, or the landlord could come get it himself tomorrow when I am back in the ofc? Just waiting to find out. Luckily I already got up, exercised and showered so I am ready to go out if I have to.

This morning I went to church and then shopping. I also had to pick up some dry cleaning and got in some exercise. Looks like a bit of a lazy day here although I can always do a bit more cleaning. Last evening I had beans. I thought it may hurt me but didn't. I had corn on the cob today. Sometimes it is a trigger and sometimes not. I just never am sure what to eat. But drinking plenty of water.

Janette - great exercise. It is always good to get it done early in the morning. It is in the 80s here today too. We may get some rain. Happy to hear that your IBS issues are not flaring.

I did 70 mins of exercise early this morning: Wii, yoga, walking the dogs. I got in 2.06 miles with the walking and jogging part. I did some free run on the Wii this morning. Started off with just ten mins as I haven't done it for a while. I will try to work back up to at least 30 mins. I am down 0.9 lbs from Friday when I last weighed in. We are 85 and warm and sunny in Escondido this noon time today. Drinking up the plain water to deal with the warmer weather. No IBS issues.

I am back to working half days on Mon - Thursday for right now.

The bf is losing his job on May 5th. So I might end up trying to pick up more hours at work or else where down the line to help out with bills.

Have a great weekend and take care everyone

Hi everyone! I had a busy week doing my regular job, and then helping to check the system to make sure all our clients tax returns and extensions were accepted by the Feds and states, getting our clients sales tax reports, 1st Qtr Fed and State reports, and other stuff all done this week, so my boss could leave the state for a few weeks. His wife went to Chicago last winter to be close to her parents, so he hasn't seen here since right after the start of the new year. So he is going to be there until after the start of May. So I will have the office to myself until then. I am supposedly going to be working Mon - Thurs from 9 AM until around Noon or 2 PM at the latest while he is gone. So I should have three day weekends and more time during the week to try to catch up with things around the house, and try to get my weight under control more with more exercise hopefully too.

I had a busy weekend so far. I did a lot of house work Friday and yesterday. Ran errands yesterday and went with my bf to get one of his teeth removed. Today I have some work to do at home for my job to help my work go faster and easier tomorrow with payroll and such. I still have a lot of laundry piled up in the garage to catch up on washing towels, sheets, blankets and such, but did a lot of it already the last two days.

I hope you are all doing great, take care. Janette

My IBS has been fine since I gave up the lara bars. I have been eating the "Kind" bars a lot at work and no issues with them at all.

I was fine a day or so after my last Lara Bar, so I am sure it was them that bothered me. I had different "Kind" bar today it was nuts and coconut. It was good and not a sticky mess and didn't bother me at all.

I have not tried any of the bars. I guess I am always afraid they will irritate my IBS. I had D a couple of times this past week. It seems as though it takes very little to aggravate and cause D to act up. Feeling well for the past couple of days.

I saw the quest bars tonight too, but they mostly had ones with dark chocolate in them and it can give me bad heartburn a lot. They had one that didn't have it, it had strawberries in it and I think it was cream or Yogurt or something like that, I forget now. But they wanted close to $30 for the box. I was tired and in a hurry, so I didn't try to figure out how much that would equal per bar, but just looking at it quickly it looked more expensive than the "Kind" bars and I could get a smaller box of them pretty reasonable so I went with that. I didn't want to buy a big box of something I didn't even know if I would like or not, or if it might make me feel sick to my stomach.

Maybe when I get to a walmart or other store where I can just buy one bar to try, I will check out more different brands.

Oh, I saw Luna bars for the first time tonight when I went to smart and final to pick up some groceries. But didn't buy any. I bought some more "Kind" bars since I liked them and they didn't seem to bother me.

Thanks for the input. Actually, for me, it was Luna bars, not Lara. Still, maybe there are enough common ingredients in both of them. Thanks.
