Linda, I woke at 5 this morning without Orzo's help. Just started cleaning some more so the TV could be set up. Of course, that just went down so I had to unplug the modem and lost everything I had done on here.

Yeah, the lemonade is good, but it doesn't seem to like me. I will probably drink more, but not as much at a time. No more 2 glasses at once.

Janette, I hope your week next week isn't so stressed.

That's about all that is going on here. I am hoping it will be a little cooler after church tomorrow when I go get Fancy some more food. It is supposed to be coolest on Friday, but that is Bible study and watercolor class, so I can't wait and go out there then.

This morning I woke up earlier than usual. I just couldn't sleep for some reason. I did talk to my youngest DD on the phone. I also did some vacuuming and picked up a few groceries. We went out to eat dinner. So far I feel okay. I had a bit of D early in the day. I am not sure why. Guess I am feeling better.

Darlene - lemonade sounds very good. So refreshing when it is hot out.

Janette - wow! 100 degrees for you.. Today was 89 which is the lowest day temp here. All month it has been in the 90s which is typical here.

Thanks Darlene! I won't get on our roof unless there is a long ladder and some one strong is holding it, even then don't really want up there. There is a retaining wall over by the garage that can be used to help get up to it with out a ladder, but I just don't feel as safe doing that. The guys get up there that way though. I tried it a could times but was constantly afraid of falling and really hurting myself. We had a bunch of branches came down in a storm a couple of times and landed on the roof while the guys were gone. So I went up that way and removed some of it. This last time there is a huge branch that is stuck part way on our roof and part way hanging down the side of our garage ready to fall behind our garage and will land part way in the neighbors drive way too. The branch came off of a eucalyptus tree of one of our other neighbors that lives behind both of our homes. That branch was just to heavy for me to deal with so I just left it for the boyfriend our the other home owner to figure out what to do with it.

It's been really hot and muggy here. Over 100 yesterday, so glad I had the day off and didn't have to do anything or go anywhere. Today it is creeping up fast again and will probably be the same. Hopefully a tiny cooler at least. Going to force myself out later with the bf to get groceries once he gets home from his class for his job. Take care

Wow, Janette, I think your job would drive me totally nuts.

Today I made lemonade for the girl who was raking my leaves and twigs and junk in my yard and had a little of it myself. Found out that is something I should stay away from, too. May be okay if I only had one small glass, but I had two because it tasted so good. Olivia didn't have any, but the little one from next door who came to help wanted some and her mom had some, too. Pete, who is my next door neighbor, said that Olivia will be back probably Saturday to do the rest that she couldn't get done today. I guess Pete is paying her to rake my lawn. I can rake okay, but I have problems picking the stuff up and getting it in the trash since my back gets to hurting really bad. My neighbors are so great. The roof was covered after that hail storm last week and Pete got up on the roof to blow the leaves and bean pods off and clean out my gutters. He won't let me climb a ladder (even the short one) because I might fall. I won't get on the roof anyway. I started to get up there to clean it off one time and totally freaked out.

Hi Ladies, I hope you are all doing well.

Thanks Linda! I hate anyone watching me while I am typing or working, it makes me nervous! And having someone keep yelling at me from another room to hurry up with something when he just gave it to me a few minutes ago really makes me nervous. I tried to tell him that before, but I guess he didn't get it or what ever. Maybe it is because he is a foreigner, or maybe just a guy thing, or just his personality or what ever? But the more he bugs me, the more nervous I get, and the more mistakes I can make, so it just slows me down.

I am glad that most of the time I have the office to myself. But I wish that when he has a new project for me to learn that he would slow down and do one for me while I take notes, and then stick around to watch me do one and make sure to tell me if there might be any of the accounts that need to be different, and how to handle that. Instead of rushing to show me one and then leaving and not telling me that most of them will be needing to be done different from that one he showed me.

Two weeks ago while I was off of work we had one payroll account added a new employee to their account, one of the owners of the corp. And my boss entered her info and ran a check just for the new employee, as I had done the check already for the other employee. Well when he ran that check he gave it a check number that had been used long before by the other employee. So the program didn't like that. I am sure it probably gave him the message that there were two checks with the same number, but he must have ignored it or knew how to over ride it.

So then when I went to run their payroll last week, I noticed that there was another employee, so I called my boss whom was at his other office to see if he had already set her file up in the payroll system or not. As he usually leaves that for me to do myself now that I have done a couple of them. But I guess since this was one of the owners and she wanted a check right away, he set her up in the system and ran a couple of back checks for her. So he said that I just needed to run a check for the other employee that I had been already doing all year. And that the next week he would show me how to do the owners check as it would be different than usual. So I added a check for the employee that I had been working with all year and went to print it out, and the program didn't like that, and was telling me about duplicate check numbers. Which I didn't understand as it was showing me about two checks numbered 1020, and the check number I used was # 6. And it wouldn't let me print out the check # 6 for my employee. So I called him at his other office and told him that it looked like he had made a check number 1020 for the new employee, and that it looked like there was already a check number 1020 from long ago for the other employee, but the check I was trying to print was check number 6. So I didn't know why it wouldn't let me print it. He said he would take care of it, but hadn't done so. So today I had to go in and change the check number from 1020 to 1021 for the new employee to get the program to let me print out my check for last week for my employee, and then print out checks for both employees for this week too. And the new employees check is done different than any other check I do for any other the accounts too. And he was trying to tell me about how to do it, but then had to get off the phone to deal with a client before I got it figured out. So I had to keep trying different things on my own before I got it fixed right. So another hassle to try to figure out myself. But luckily the rest of the day went easy, and I did have the office all to myself today too.

tomorrow I am suppose to go in for a few hours in the afternoon to cover the phones while he has some appointments with some corp clients. So he will be in the office with me the whole time. But I think I will probably have Friday off.

And luckily my stomach was just acting up but no IBS-D or C and it went away fast too after I was home for a bit. And hasn't seemed to bother me today.

Take care

I had a sore upper back today. I did go into the pool for awhile which seemed to help. We went out to eat afterwards. I got D immediately. Wow, still have a bit of cramping. Ugh. Really a rough evening.

Darlene - happy to hear that the Social Security visit was quicker than expected. Sorry you had the IBS D today. I also have problems with munchies. If I can stay away from them, I will be much better off. They cause belly pain for me.

I was rather surprised at Social Security. They have added employees to the office I go to and I was out of there in less than a half hour. Usually I had to wait over two hours. Then I found out that to get my name straightened out I only have to bring my birth certificate instead of going through the courts and pay to get it officially changed (they are the ones that dropped part of my name, not me -- not that I go by that name). So I can get things with the same name everywhere instead of having confusion when I get things through insurances and medical offices and such.

Today I have been doing the cleaning, but I ate a bit more than I should and triggered the IBS-D, so I haven't gotten very far. I am also sleepy, so may nap for a while before I get started again. If I would quit getting he munchies, maybe I could stop having the IBS problems.

I felt pretty well today except a toothache. It seems like something is always bothering me. I did a 30 minute yoga class at the gym this morning. I think it has made me feel better. I wanted to get into the pool today but in the afternoon thunder and rain rolled in. I am sure I will swim one day this week.

Darlene - anytime we have to deal with social security it can be a hassle. But glad that your gut hurting didn't turn out to be C or D. It is good for you that you are volunteering

Janette - sorry that you were not feeling well but glad that you did not get D. It is also good news that the boss didn't bother you today. I know that my belly would really be bothering me if I was under your stress at work. When I worked I had D so often due to stress. It is so tough.

Janette, I can understand you getting stressed under those conditions. I think that would drive me nuts.

Today I had to go to Social Security and get a paper to get a rebate that I really need. Then took that down to the department downtown that needed it (they never needed it before, just the letter that said how much I got last year or the 1099). My gut was acting up all morning, too. Not C or D, just causing problems. I hope that it will straighten up. Today I took the chance and turned in my application to volunteer at the library near me. Orzo and Cassie will hate if I do much of that. They don't like me to leave the house at all unless it is me taking Cassie with me or taking her outside. That doesn't make Orzo too happy, but I can't trust taking the cat out.

Also had some goings on with the internet company. I hope it is straightened out now. The guy I was talking to said he was trying to somehow get my lower price through, but the computer threw it out right away. So he has it figured if I get the TV service with the next higher internet speed I will get both for $4 less than what I am being charged now (of course, with taxes added it will probably be the same amount). If I decide I don't want to keep the TV the lower internet charge should go through. Of course, either way I end up going through the same thing next year. So I am switching everything to come in on gmail and then I can just keep changing internet providers to get lower costs. Right now I don't know if I can afford the deal we just did.

Thanks Linda! I got the day off, I haven't even bothered to turn my cell phone on yet today. I had turned it off last night to charge it, and just haven't turned it back on. If the boss wants me he can call the house phone. I am glad I got the day off too, as I needed it. I some how irritated my left hip and lower back again. Had a really hard time getting comfortable and going to sleep. Just taking it easy today. I go back to work tomorrow. I didn't have D, but my stomach did act up after the boss left yesterday, and was acting up on and off last night too. Luckily today it doesn't seem to be bothering me. I think Wednesday I might have the office to myself, but not sure. I know I have a couple of payroll accounts to deal with and then there are a lot of bookkeeping accounts that he just brought info back from that I can work on. I think I prefer it when I have the office to myself, lol.

I hope you are all doing okay. Have a great week.

I had quite a day with D. It was such a drag but I still was able to do some things. I took Imodium and that helped a bit. I had an appointment for getting a pedicure and I went ahead and did it. I actually got through it fine. I then went to the bank and a grocery store. So feeling much better tonight.

Janette - happy to hear that you are off tomorrow. Especially after having a stressful day of hurrying for the boss.

Thanks Linda! It was another warm day today so I turned the a/c on at work as I was the only one in the office at first. The day was going good with phone calls and payroll. And then the boss came in and gave me other stuff to do. He was really rushing me to do a bookkeeping account that he just gave me as he got to work. So that was stressful that he kept asking for it as I was trying to do it. He finally had me start giving it to him in pieces as I finished it. And luckily got it done before he left for the day to go on errands and to the other office again. Then I had the company finally call in there hours that I was suppose to do Thursday. So I finally finished that payroll and then I got to run their checks to the post office to get them out to them. Supposedly I am off tomorrow and will be back Wed.

Take care

I wasn't too busy today. I did take a walk and worked out to a workout video. I ate pretty well but then had 4 cookies, which I should have skipped. But I did not have any problems with D. We have a few things scheduled tomorrow. Should be a fairly busy day.

Janette - you are going to have a busy Monday, at work. Hope that you get through the day without having D or any bladder issues.

Hi ladies! Thanks Linda! Darlene, I have found myself doing a lot of stress eating lately too! Luckily like you said Linda, the stress hasn't seemed to cause any problems with the IBS. I did notice my bladder acting up from it, and feeling like I needed to go more. Which does happen to me when I get stress, or really upset. But luckily it hasn't been that bad that it interferes with my work.

But I was really stressing both Monday and Wednesday as I felt like I was doing really important financial reports for our payroll/bookkeeping clients blindfolded. I really had no idea what I was doing. I was just following some quick notes that I took while he did one accounts Federal form 941 quarterly tax return, and Ca State DE-9 and DE-88 quarterly tax return and EDD forms. Luckily, my boss was double checking each account later before sending the info off to the clients and government. But it was still stressful! And then there was so much to do each of those days too and yet so few hours I was suppose to be at work to do it. There was no way I could get it all done in time. Maybe if I didn't have to do all the reports over again I might have made it, but I am not even sure with that. But luckily with what I did those two days he seemed happy with. And he didn't give me any more to do on Thursday. Thursday I just went in and got the phone msgs off the machine and call those clients back. I called the one payroll account for their hours, but like usual they didn't have the info ready for me yet. Then the only calls we got were sells calls. And he didn't give me anything to do while he was out dropping off and picking up from the clients. So I really didn't have anything to do Thursday, so he let me go home early.

Monday I will have a lot of payroll to do. Plus he will have brought back in more bookkeeping to do Thursday and Friday when he was running to the clients. So I know I will be busy Monday and probably a few other days next week too. And then the last week of the month and the first week of next month I will have to send out Federal 941 Coupons to several of the clients along with their payroll. And sometime time later he will probably have me starting to do the P&L's for the clients too. So that is another important report I will have to learn and add to my list. And there are probably others too.

So I am happy I had Friday and this weekend off. Take care

I think we are at the end of our heat break. It is supposed to be back up to the mid-to upper 90s tomorrow and by Monday 100 or more. The rest of the week upper 90s to 100 or so every day.

Was doing good with the IBS until I went to see if I could get a mop brush for doing watercolor with. I am thinking it was a total waste to take that class. I cannot get anything right in there. Guess the frustration with that class has me eating what I shouldn't. I ate more than I needed to tonight.

I stayed busy today. I got in quite a bit of exercise. I have been trying to cut calories when I can. For instance, I try to cut down on my dinner meal with just smaller portions. Most days I am okay but not always.

Janette - wow, when I read about your workday on Wednesday, I wondered how you can keep up with all of that. It sounds pretty hectic. I would be stressed and probably be in the bathroom with D. I am glad that you are doing well with your IBS issues.

Darlene - hope you find the things for Fancy. Glad to hear that you are going to get a relief from the heat. In our part of Florida, the weather remains the same almost everyday until about November - 90s and humid. But we have been going out to the pool almost everyday I have also been eating too many carbs. I really think today may have been a little bit better than usual. My belly seems better today.

We got a little break in the heat today and suppose to tomorrow. I went after feed for Fancy and found out they were out of what Fancy has been eating. I got two bags of their store brand and will have to go back out in a couple weeks and get her regular food. She has been doing really well on the feed she has been eating. Still has the long coat instead of shedding out to a nice, smooth summer coat, but she has put on the weight and even doesn't look as sway backed, which is pretty good for a 31 year old mare. After doing a little grooming on Fancy, Cassie and I went to another farm store and checked out clippers. They have some that are cordless and cost no more than the last pair of corded ones I got. Then we went to check out the Tractor Supply in Castle Rock and that was a bit of a mess. They have road construction going on almost all the roads in town, especially the one I needed to go on to get to the Tractor Supply.

I need to get back on track with my eating. I have been eating too many carbs lately. I haven't had problems with the D lately which I am grateful for.

Hi Ladies! Luckily I think the allergy and pain medicine, and sleep did the trick! Was able to get up early this morning and go in and put in another long day.

Just so much more needs done when it is the end of the quarter and my boss is handing over more and more responsibilities to me. He was teaching me how to do three new reports Monday and unfortunately he didn't tell me that some of the accounts needed to be done one way on one of the reports, and the rest need to be done differently. He only showed me one way and then gave me a list to do by myself as he went to his other office. And unfortunately all the rest that I did right after that should have been done the way he hadn't told me about or showed me anything about. So when it was time to go home already, I found out that I had to redo all that I had done for that day to make them correct. So it made me stay late.

Today he gave me another list to do and most of them were ones that needed to be done like I did at the end of Monday, and only a couple were to be done like the one he showed me to do before he left me alone Monday. Plus I had payroll, bookkeeping and other stuff to do. And was constantly interrupted by him calling me and asking me to do other stuff for him, or clients coming in or just dropping by unannounced needing stuff too. But at least I think I got the handle on the new reports that I will be doing from now on at the end of each quarter.

Tomorrow I have to go in again and cover for him as he will be going out to our bookkeeping clients and picking up papers and dropping off papers. I don't know if I will have more reports or bookkeeping to do or not. I know I have one payroll account, but they never have their info when they are suppose to give it to me, so I might not have to do it tomorrow.

I hope you are all doing well or getting better asap.

I have been alternating between C & D again. It has been more C lately which makes me so bloated and miserable. I also have the miserable headaches again. They bother me more than anything.

Darlene - it is always so annoying when the computer goes on a blitz; My son in law, married to the youngest daughter, is a computer geek - graduated from college with the degree. He has helped us many times with the computer and I am so thankful. I remember when I was more active in church, many times going out after church with a bunch of church friends for snacks. Normally, we would get sugary treats. I probably started putting some weight on and quite often I had D following. You are right, it can get expensive.

Janette - it sounds like you were lucky not to work when you were getting sick. Getting the extra sleep was pretty much just what you needed. Hope that you feel better soon. I had these symptoms a couple of weeks ago and felt miserable. But fortunately, I don't work so I can sleep in. Sorry that you have to put in more hours.

Thanks Darlene!

I hope you are all doing well. I haven't had any problems with IBS for a long time now.

I have never had any problems before with aaa either. These two guys are from a tow truck company that just happens to do business with aaa. So I think it is more an issue with that tow truck company than aaa. But whom knows? aaa did ask me a lot of questions about the truck each time I talked to them to help them know exactly what make and model it was, if it had any type of shell or camper on it which it doesn't. And I did tell them it had a bed liner on it since they were asking if it had any type of modifications or additions or such to it. So they should have know exactly what I had and about the weight and such. And I told them the first time that I didn't even know if I had a spare, and if so what shape it was, or how to get it down or any of that. So I told them that if they could get the spare down and change the flat great, but otherwise I was going to need a tow. So they should have sent someone that could have done all of that the first time. And she told me she would tell the tow company all of that, so either she didn't, or they didn't listen to her? But each time I talked to aaa they were really apologetic, kind, sympathetic, and seemed really sorry for the misunderstandings. So I really don't think it was so much aaa, as the other company. I almost wonder if my complaining about getting the wrong type of truck the first day, had anything to do with how the guy from the second truck was acting?

I had to work really long hours yesterday and it was a really warm and muggy day. I was suppose to be on call all day today for work. I set my alarm to get me up at 6 AM, but the dogs woke me up several times in the wee morning, and then again at 5:30 AM. And I didn't want up, so I just turned my alarm off and just laid in bed. I finally made myself get up around 7:30 AM, and used my Wii to weigh myself like usual. I got a shower hoping it would make me feel more awake, but it didn't. I just felt like I was sleep walking all day. Luckily it felt cooler to me today and even had some nice breezes going on and off. I just felt like going back to bed though. And luckily my boss called around noon and said I didn't need to come in today, but I might have to put in longer hours again tomorrow and Thursday. After that I took a nap which felt good, but still didn't really change how I feel. I think it might be partly due to allergies. My eyes are watery and itchy and I am going back and forth from sneezing, to runny, to stuffy. So I took a pill for it and hope it makes me feel better tomorrow.
Have a wonderful night and great Wednesday

Wow, Janette, you really had the problems. I never knew that any AAA tow would refuse to tow you and would leave you driving your vehicle on the rims. I do know that some states the AAA won't help if you have over a 1/2 ton truck, though. I got that at the AAA in Missouri. Finally convinced them I didn't need a tow, I needed to know where there was a place to take my truck. Then found out that in Colorado if you call your topper a "camper shell" they consider it a full camper wit bathroom facilities and all and you have to pay more.

I have been having problems with my computer, so haven't been going through much on here. I tried last night and the computer froze when I tried replying to something. The guy who works on my truck (his actual job is with Honeywell Security systems) said it sounds like my problem is the hard drive is going out. So I have to find a way to back up everything and then get a new hard drive. That will take a while, but my mechanic friend said he might be able to find an extra hard drive at work. My friend that does IT will be doing the backup, but it might take him a while because his wife is not doing well at all.

Sunday they started doing a fast food get-together after church and we went to Wendy's. I had a salad, but even with just a half salad that was too much for my gut. I will not be able to afford to go to too many of those, but they are planning to do them every other week and it was really nice to be able to go with and talk to people from the church in a more social setting. We also just got a new pastor, so he and his family and the other family that came with them from Florida, our previous pastor (now is associate pastor, retired from senior pastor), a couple that has been leaders in the church for years and a couple that have been there for just a couple years that are really being leaders now, and a guy from India were all there. I have seen the guy from India before, but never met him. He lives just across the highway from me and a little over 1/2 mile south, so does some traveling to church.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Darlene

I felt pretty well today.I did get in some exercise. I ate well and did eat a lot of fiber so that also has been good for me. Tomorrow I hope to go to Zumba class and then shopping for a new swimsuit.

Janette - I am glad that you got in 7000 steps. Also, good that the boy helped you with the yardwork.

Thanks Linda! I am doing much better. I did some yard work with the boy yesterday and finally planted some new flower and such that I already had seeds given to my by my sister.

And today the boy and I went and cashed in a bunch of recycling cans and bottles and got enough out of them to be able to get the neighbor boy a decent birthday gift. They are having a birthday party and sleep over tonight at the other child's home.

I have been getting a lot of walking in lately with other stuff. I got over 70 mins of exercise in today and over 3 miles walking, and over 7000 steps with the exercising and errands and such.

I have been busy with swimming, walking and going to the gym this week. Keeping busy. Most of the week I have felt okay. But last night I had some cramping after I ate a salad at Applebee's. I have not been keeping up with taking my fiber daily. I think that is a lot of my problem. So last night I went back to taking them and going to try to remember to take them daily. I hope it helps.

Janette - I am so sorry about your issue with the tires. It is never good to have to spend that kind of money unexpectedly. But it always seems that way. As soon as you think you are doing good with money, when a big expense comes along. It's so tough. I hope that you are having a good weekend. Sorry about the allergy problems I have had those and they are so frustrating. I had it for about a week recently.

I hope you are all doing well. Sorry I was MIA for a bit again. Just really busy with work, and stuff, and dealing with vehicle issues too.

4th of July weekend and that Monday I was off from work and just doing a lot of house work. All weekend there were illegal fire works going off scattered in the neighborhood. Sunday night there was a fire work show off in the distance in the evening that we could see from our office window at home. Monday night there were several fire work shows going off in the distance all around us and we could see most of them out our office window at home. Our youngest dog was scared and hiding under tables and desk when ever she heard them. So I didn't bother going outside to watch them. I just sat at my computer desk or was doing house work or such.

The bf's job kept calling him at all hours with problems with the computers and he even had to go to LA for a bit for it. He was up until the wee morning Monday into Tuesday. I was suppose to have the day off Tuesday. But got called into work at the last minute early in the morning after not getting much sleep from the fireworks and the phone calls and such.

I hurried up to change my clothes and rushed off to go to work and found out right as I tried to pull the truck away from the curb that I had a bad flat tire and was on the rim.

Seems I ended up with a flat tire on my front passenger tire of the pick up truck. The tires were all old as it was. But it looks to me if some one stabbed it with a knife instead of just wearing out. Since they found two cuts in the tire both looking the same size and straight across from each other on the side wall. The cuts were about an inch to 1.5 inches, looked like someone just stabbed a knife in it too me. But I can't be sure about it.

So I had to do two quick u-turns and just park the car against the curb again in front of the house and rushed off in my car. And then I ended up having to stay at work late due to issues with clients and such. I started the day out by myself in the office and the boss came in for just a short time and then had to rush out again. And so I was trying to take care of several issues by myself after he left. And as I was trying to do that more people started calling in after hours and dropping in unexpectedly too.

Then I rushed home and called our local tire company that I had gone to before for my car and talked to them and then called AAA auto club to try to get someone to either come and put the spare tire on it for me or tow me to the tire shop. But they just sent a service truck out and not a tow truck. And he couldn't get the spare tire to come down and couldn't tow me either. So by that time it was cutting it too close to closing time for the tire shop to wait for another tow truck to come and help me.

So again I drove my car to work. And when I tried to turn my work computer on it wouldn't work. I thought something was wrong with the hard drive but wasn't sure. And it is the one my bf fixed up and gave to my boss so that I would have a work computer. So I had to call my boss since I was working all alone that day. And again I ended up having to stay a little later at work due to unexpected calls and people showing up and such. Then before leaving I had to unplug my computer and bring it back home so the bf could try to fix it for us. Seems my hard drive did go bad in it. So he is looking to see if he has another spare one he can put in it for us. So I had to load it in the car, and then unload it when I got home. And then I had to call AAA auto club again and ask for a tow truck this time and not a service truck.

And while I was outside waiting for the tow truck to pull up to the house one of my neighbors saw me and he had seen me with the service truck the night before he said too. So he came across the street and was talking to me and volunteered to try to get the spare tire down but he couldn't do it either. And just as he was putting the rod that you are suppose to use to get it down back under the hood of the truck the tow truck pulled up.

This tow truck guy was from the same local company as the service truck that had came the night before, but was a different guy. And he tried to get the spare tire down too and couldn't do it. The first guy thought that there was a lock on it and that I was missing the piece to unlock it. The neighbor didn't think that there was a lock on it but he thought that a piece might be missing, or broken off or just worn down to where it just wasn't catching to work, or maybe it was the wrong rod for our tire system. As supposedly there are different ones for different models, makes and years, and some that do have locking systems on them too. The last tow driver didn't know what was wrong with it but just that it wasn't wanting to work. And so they were all saying that I would have to go to the Ford dealership or a junk yard to try to get what I needed to get the spare down. So I was again just asking the two truck driver just to give me a tow to the local shop that was less than a mile from the house. As I had a free tow coming to me up to 7 miles. But he wanted to try to put air in the tire to try to see if it would hold and what might be wrong with the tire which was fine. But I still wanted a tow, especially after they found two slash type cuts in the tire. But both guys were saying that I should just be able to drive it to the shop with no problems since it was so close. And again I asked for a tow, but they both said I didn't need it and should just drive the truck to the shop and that the tow truck driver would follow me.

Well it didn't hold all the way to the shop, about a block or two before I got there I felt I was on the rim again and was not happy about it! And it was hard to stir and handle. Especially trying to turn into the tire shop. And then they were so crowded and busy I didn't know where to park it or if I was going to be able to park it safely. It ended up that the only spot I saw open was the handi-cap spot and I just pulled into it and didn't even get into it good, I was part in it and part in the crossed off part next to it. luckily it was a private parking lot for the tire store. And I had already called and talked to them two days in a row letting them know I needed a tow there but was having issues getting a tow. And as soon as I walked in to the shop I let them know that again I tried to get a tow but the tow truck driver told me to just drive it instead.

Well the back passenger tire was old and and they said it really needed replace too. And the bf was telling me if I did need to replace one tire that I really should get two new tires at the same time so they were a match as it would be better for safety reasons. So I was thinking that I was going to replace the front two tires before I got there. But they told me the two on the passenger side were the worse ones, probably because that is the side that always gets pulled up to the curb to park it and the driver side tires were my best ones. And the back passenger tire was my oldest one they thought too. They said it looked like an original tire and then he got down and looked at the back side of it and said, yes it was a 2001 tire the year the truck was made. So we ended up putting the new ones on the back and the others on the front.

So about $400 later and 2 hours later I finally got to head back home. But by then my allergies were going crazy from breathing in the rubber tire fumes and exhaust from all the vehicles for 2 hrs. My eyes, sinus, throat and head were all bothering me. I had to take allergy medicine, pain medicine, wash my eyes out, put saline solution in my sinus, and take an expectorant. And I made some herbal tea with a pouch that was suppose to be good for breathing issues and one for throat issues and I sipped on them all last night and today too.

And just before I got home from the tire shop the bf had to go get his son that was back from his camping trip with friends. And all that day and night he was still dealing with issues online and on the phone with his work. They picked up take out food on their way back in to the home. I had dinner and then tried to go to bed early as I wasn't feeling good.

They were both up late, the boy watching TV to late and his dad dealing with work on and off into the wee morning.

Luckily I had today off from work, and I didn't even turn on my cell phone, so as not to be bothered by work. I figured if he wanted me bad enough he could call the house number. But I really didn't want to come in unexpectedly. I still got woke up early by the dogs though wanting out and them not being able to get the guys to get up and let them out or give them food. So I just got up and started to do house work. I am suppose to be off tomorrow too, and I think I am just going to leave my cell phone off until Sunday night when I will set my alarm to get me up in the morning on Monday for work. I have a lot of house work to catch up on again this weekend. Even though I did some today.

I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July. I haven't been doing anything but reading today. I picked up some nice mysteries from the library and found out that one of them has a precursor I don't think I've read, so have it on hold to pick up when the library opens and gets it in. I'm not sure which branch it will come from.

I am hoping that there are fewer fireworks in the neighborhood tonight, but I doubt there will be. If I can't see them I don't want to hear them and have Orzo and Cassie getting scared from them.

Happy 4th of July! I hope you are all doing well.

I am still doing well, no IBS issues, just some heartburn on rare occasions. Usually if I have too much tomato sauce like in pizza or spaghetti, or too much onions or peppers, or garlic, or too much greasy or fried foods. A couple of days ago the bf made us sandwiches with some left over pork roast, and we had some sun chips with them that was Garden flavor I believe. And I got bad heartburn after that. I think it was the spices in the chips. Bugged me so much that I didn't want to eat dinner, I just had a piece of bread and a tiny bit of yogurt. Luckily with sipping water and taking some medicine it finally went away. And I was fine the next day.

I have been doing pretty well.. I sometimes think a problem is coming up, but it hasn't, thankfully. I have been taking some papaya enzyme (my friend has to remind me of that or I forget, and the heck with what that GI doctor said about it).

Today was a little sad at our church, though the pastor will still be around and helping things around there. He officially is retired now as the senior pastor. Our new pastor starts Sunday and he also seems really nice.

We have been having loud fireworks going on all around here. It is illegal for them to be shot off by individuals. Only legal for them in mainly government shows. Still, the fireworks are sold all over so people buy them and shoot them off. Even sparklers are illegal and probably the glow worms, too.

This evening, after we ate dinner, I developed a bout with D. I thought I would be okay but I have had cramping the rest of this evening, So I am sipping water for the remainder of the time and may take an Imodium. Hope that you all are doing well. Happy 4th of July weekend.

Darlene, I think I breath at the wrong time with a lot of it too. I know I when I try to do a lot of stuff on the Wii, I am mixing up when I am suppose to breath at times. And it is hard for me to correct it.

Still too hot and muggy here to really want to do anything. I am just constantly dripping in sweat when ever I am in the house or leave the house. Only good place I have been is in the air conditioning of my work's office, and then the bank and store this afternoon. There was an empty meat packing warehouse close to where we live on fire this morning. So bad air quality on top of it all. I was suppose to have the day off, so I was staying in the house with the windows closed to avoid the smoke. But then I had to run out to the work office for a bit for my boss. So since I was out any ways, after I was done at our work office, I went to the bank, and then to the grocery store. Which was errands I had already planned for the day before the fire. So I got in 2.63 miles and 5551 steps with just doing that.

I am thinking we all are running into that some, Fran. I think my problem is mostly more in my gut that I can handle, even if I don't eat very much. Other than that sugar. And sometimes a lot of other things that I think I can do fine with I don't.

I hope that you all have relief from the heat soon. We didn't get our rain today, but the weather was bearable since the rain clouds did show up.

Today I started doing some weight training. I hope that I can keep it up and also figure out how to use those things right. I am having problems with the breathing correctly. I kept concentrating on it, but kept ending up breathing in when I was suppose to breathe out. I am so sore right now and I was only using the light weights except for on the leg press. Well, that was still light compared to what others use. Mostly I used 20 or 30 pounds and the leg press 50 pounds. Then, since I was so sore, I went looking for the tiny molds to make some Golden Paste (Turmeric paste) with, but couldn't find them. Guess I will have to order, but I am going to look a couple other places. I know that they have what I need at K-Mart in Australia, but no one has been able to find them here except that Amazon has something similar. What I am looking for would mold 1/4 teaspoon size since you are supposed to start with a very small amount and later increase it.

Today I was pretty active with exercise. I weighed myself and am down 1 pound. Although I am happy, I lose weight so slowly. I still want to lose and 20-25 pounds. There are times that I get cynical and think it will never happen. But I keep plugging forward.

Fran - happy to see you. I know how you feel. I tell you that foods are really a mystery to me. When I eat certain foods I have no problem with my IBS. However, the next day I could eat the same food and have a major flare up. It makes no sense.

Janette - hope that you get relief soon. It is super hot in Florida, however, we are used to it especially in the summer. Even the sea has a temperature of 88 degrees, here. Thus, there is no relief when going into the water.

Hi ladies, I hope you are all having a great week. It is still really hot here, in the high 80's to over 100 for weeks and weeks now. Too hot and muggy making it feel even hotter. My allergies are acting up too, watery eyes and sneezing on and off.

I haven't posted on this team lately. I go into denial that food is the issue. All I know is I am out of control with my food and it has made my gut miserable. I have been diagnosed with IBS, celiac and duct damage from radiation. Now wouldn't you think all that would make a sane person be VERY careful about food intake. Ahh another day has been granted for me to pull myself out of this cave and face reality. I am what I eat.

Have a good day everyone.

I have developed a cold. Actually, my husband shared it with me. He came down with it over the weekend. In spite of that, I did a lot of exercise today. I went to a yoga class earlier in the day, went swimming and got in a walk. But I seem to feel worse at night. Fortunately, no D.

We had a good thunderstorm this evening which nicely cooled things down some. Then tomorrow is suppose to be cooler. That will be nice. I started to do my studying outside, but had to get Orzo's litter box cleaned and then brought in my painting stuff and my camera, sat down for a little bit, and then wound up bringing everything back in the house. Then when the storm was starting up I headed out to the store because I needed some Kleenex (actually store brand that holds up better). So checked the closeout meat for something for Cassie and also got some stew meat to make for me. Guess I should freeze the latter since I don't have all the ingredients for stew.

Stay cool, Janette.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I think that here it feels hotter than it really is, so I still haven't gotten the tomatoes and peppers in the ground. I fell asleep on Sunday when Pete would have come over and helped get the fence around the garden. I should have done it then and got the plants in.

I have done okay, but ate too much at once again so my stomach hurts. Washed Cassie today and tried to do a little studying.

Thanks Darlene! It is another hot day and all this week is suppose to be hot too. I had the work office to myself again so I had the a/c on which feel nice. But leaving and going home was like walking out to an open oven again. Just going to check some messages on here quick and then go sit in front of the fan in the living room and watch some TV I recorded last night.

I hope you are all doing okay.

In that heat you need to take it easy Janette. Just too hot to do otherwise.

I went to church this morning and met our new pastor. He got his official appointment just this week and will be back to start on the 10th. They also appointed our retiring pastor for his 20th year, so he will be Associate Pastor.

Orzo wouldn't let me sleep this morning after 5:00 and when I tried to take a nap he tried to not let me sleep then, either. Apparently I did get to sleep because Cassie had to potty and went to the front door to do it because I wasn't awake to let her out. I hate when that happens. I am going to have to take the carpet out over there, then put down some thick plastic and a rug on top of it. That just soaks down into the wood floor.

I did okay with my IBS today, even with eating pizza for lunch. Won't go there for pizza anymore. Just costs too much and I only got a small.

Yeah, he use to love helping his dad before he was even 5 yrs old. Then we moved in together and they both just got lazy. And the kid keep whining he didn't want to do anything to help out, or that he didn't know how, and couldn't, wouldn't learn. But I know it was all an act as I know he did it all before and use to like doing it. Now he is all addicted to electronics and doesn't want to do anything else, except play with his friends, or chat with them online or on his phone. His dad is just as bad, so he lets him get away with it. They both always have their smart phones in their hands, or a tablet, iPad, lap top, nook, or they are on their desk tops. Very rare for them not to be doing something like that. Even while they are watching TV they have something else going too. It is so annoying! Hard to get their attention for anything.

The boy never cleans his own room and never puts things in their place, so he is always misplacing stuff or losing it and then always wants us to hunt for it instead of finding it himself.

I had to take care of my own room and do my own laundry way younger than him! And I know he did it before, so he can start doing it again, or it can just be his problem.

Janette - I agree that you should get help around the house. After all, you work also. Teaching the boy to help clean is good for him too. He needs to learn how to do this for the future. He may live on his own or can help with his partner in the future.

Hi ladies! I hope you are all feeling better asap.

Looks like it is going to get hotter here this weekend and next week. I tired of it, it is just wiping me out. I am so ready for winter, hahaha.

I did a ton of house cleaning yesterday and was just dripping in sweat the whole time. Had to keep taking 20-30 min breaks on and off trying to cool down and drink fluids.

Today I was so sore it hurt to move. So didn't do much besides go to the bank and then go get groceries.

Was glad I had the house to myself most of yesterday too, I turned on the ceiling fan in the dinning room that the bf doesn't like me to use, I turned on the ceiling fan in the kids room and the one in the office too, and had portable fans going in my room and the living room trying to cool down all the rooms while I was doing deep dusting and vacuuming and cleaning in all the rooms. Luckily I had turned most of them off before the bf got back from working in LA. Once he got home I had him flip the mattress sets off of both beds so I could vacuum under the beds and the mattress sets themselves too. I am giving the kids room a good clean while he is on vacation for a week with his mom. As he was complaining about allergies and other complaints. I think it is time to reteach him to do that type of stuff himself when he gets back too. He is almost 12, and really does nothing around the house. When I first met him he wasn't even 5 and he was helping his dad vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, do laundry and all in their condo. Once we moved in together they both slowly dumped it all on me. Time to start dumping some of it back on them.

We are having rather strange weather. We have upper 90s one day and low to mid 80s the next. Sometimes even from upper 90s to the 70s the next (like Sunday and Monday). Then there is a lot of wind and thunder storms.

A little afraid to say this, but I haven't had problems since Sunday or maybe Monday. Sometimes I wonder if I am having a problem, but it hasn't turned out to be. I am hoping that keeps up.

Darlene and Janette I am so sorry that you have been miserable in the heat.

I have been traveling again this week. I will be happy to be back home tomorrow. The connecting flight we had earlier in the week was almost 3 hours late. It was scheduled to take off around 9:30 pm but it was well past midnight before it took off. I was tired and miserable. But fortunately I didn't have an attack of D.

Thanks Darlene! And hello to you all.

Still really warm and suppose to be that way for a while. We are suppose to get even hotter this weekend and the beginning of next week. I know people in AZ too, really hot there right now. The boy is suppose to go there for a week toward the end of July I believe to visit relatives. I might go for the weekend when he first gets dropped off, but then again I might just decide to stay home and take care of the dogs here so they don't have to go to a doggy day care type place for the first time. They have never been away from the house except for quick car rides to the pet store or to pick up the boy from his mom. So I really don't like the idea of putting them in a doggy day care place for 2-3 nights. I think they would feel confused and scared like when they got thrown in the pound before we adopted them. And I am not liking the heat we have here, it will be a lot worse there. The last time I went was at Thanksgiving time yrs ago and it was really hot then, this will be so much worse.

Of course, if you can't find a GI doctor who cares at all a couple of them won't be of much help.

My friend managed to get my mower started yesterday and I got the top part of my lawn done while it was cool. Today is up to 97 again, so will try to get something done either after 6 or tomorrow when we have a cool day forecast again (86). I am glad I am not where Janette is or my cousin. He is in Phoenix and had to go out in the 120 degree heat. He also said he got the new construction project that will run for the next 6 months or so. He is the person who gets all the estimates and I think some other things in managing the construction. Fortunately, not the heavy construction work anymore. It would be nice if he could wait on that job until fall and winter.

My Immodium finally wore off on Sunday or so. It would be nice if I didn't end up either one end of the scale or the other.

Linda, I would like to be able to do what you did. I like the swimming and Zumba and would like to take Cassie for some walks. I don't want to take Cassie while the ground is so hot, though. Maybe if we can get to a park and walk in the grass. The Zumba class I was in a couple years ago is in a room that isn't air-conditioned, so pretty hot, but I would like to get back in it. If the gas prices stay down and I can get some things lowered, maybe I can afford to get back to it. I go over there on Friday for a watercolor class which is on my way home from Bible Study. I save on gas costs by combining on one day. On some Saturdays i am doing free classes at the library. One is a photography class that I just barely found out about. I actually found out some things about that old camera I have (it's outdated and the company sold twice since I got it, but it's usable).

Linda, I hope you have a good trip.

It is just been too hot here lately and it is getting too me. It was too hot to sit in our ofc once I got home. Cooler in our living room. I tried using my lap top in there yesterday, but the bottom of it heated up way too fast. Too hot to use it. Got up early to go into the ofc this morning. I won't be on here long today as it is heating up fast in the house and outside again.

I had a busy day. I went swimming, a Zumba class and a walk. It was all fun but my legs are a bit sore tonight We fly to Washington D.C. tomorrow which is okay. I always try to eat light before a plane ride because I worry about D.

Darlene - your temps sound about like ours in Florida - 89 to low 90's. I know many are in sweltering heat. Sorry to hear that you had a problem with the mower.

Janette - sounds like it is hot where you are. I hope that Monday was not too busy at work.

Alyssa - my DD has PCOS and I think I will mention Inositol. She would like to get pregnant, just as you do, but her weight has heavily increased with the PCOS. Sorry that you had the D flare up but I really hope it has settled down now.

I am hot enough here, I wouldn't want to be there with it in the 100s. It hasn't quite gotten to where they predicted today, at least not in my area of town. At 4;00 it was 89. I have been trying for a few days to get my mower to start again, but no luck. It started when I had company on Sunday, but I couldn't mow then. It hasn't started since. My neighbor came over to help and tried some cleaner to see if it would clean the gas line, but that didn't work, either. I got starter fluid and that didn't work. So I trimmed the hedge and wild trees around my patio. Well, I got them mostly trimmed, though it just pushed some of the branches aside. I'll have to get back at it in a couple days. It is suppose to be 99 tomorrow and I don't want to be out there in that tomorrow. I would rather be in front of the fan. I do want to get my tomatoes and peppers in the ground, though, so maybe I will just take the hose across the lawn even though I can't get it mowed. I also got some basil (which the first ones died) and Ginger Mint. I want to just plant some mint up by the porch to be able to use in cooking or drinks and to repel spiders and rodents. If it takes over the area around there I don't care because nothing is growing there but weeds. Hope mint will grow there. The catnip that use to be near the porch is now out in front of the hedge by the patio.
