Snow Snow Snow. Yes. I've had enough. I tried to cook some Sheppard pie but the ground turkey was off. I had to throw it away. I had some steamed salmon and backed chicken leftovers from this week so we improvised with mash potatoes.

Changing my life one day at a time from the inside out. Remembering the basics, to set goals, plan,implement, then revise. The journey will be hard and easy but remember to HAVE FUN!!!

I think this may be my first post here. I'm Mia, I'm a senior and I'm on Day 8

lost 4 lbs. week 1. emoticon

I'm a real couch potato; I'd do anything to avoid exercise; I hate feeling hot and sweaty.

All that has changed since I decided to loose some of this weight which is hurting my back and knees. I have begun to walk just 2500 steps on alternate days, managing a few consecutive days too. Each week I will add 500 more steps and walk as often as I can. I will touch base here often to hear how everyone is doing.

Not very good. Been trying to lose weight but keeping it to myself, have lost 5.8 pounds since july 16th. I was asked by my mother who said she was concerned, we went out to their house and we hadn't seen each other in 2-3 weeks and she asks: " Have you gained weight you looked a little like you gained some. I'm just asking are you going to go on a diet and lose some of your weight?" That kinda hurt but I just said " I've been kind of trying to watch how much I've been eating, but no I haven't gained any." I don't say because it's been an ongoing struggle since I've been younger and I've lost and gained and am heavier now than ever and finding it hard to lose. I don't tell her I'm losing or dieting because then it's like this on a weekly or so basis? " How much have you lost now? Are you still trying? ( If I gained ," Why'd you gain, did you quit trying?" Sorry needed to vent!

Don't bury yourself with a knife and a fork!

A great day. I added to my workout, and I am tracking food every day. So far, I am staying within the guidelines every day. I am gaining confidence, and strength even in the short week I have been here.

Feeling great today! I slept so good last night! This morning I did my workout just as my son left for school. I had my first weekly weight in, and I lost 6 pounds!

I'm so excited. I've been following the SP guidelines, and it's working. I have been staying sugar free as possible and only having a few strawberries with equal on it for desert. So cool. I had given up hope, but the scale tells me it's working.

Today I am more in control than I have been for a very long time. Everyday is still an uphill battle but I put on my climbing boots and keep at it. I know it will get easier over time. I just have to keep reminding myself of that fact and keep moving forward.

Today was nice but a little muggy here.

Grilled chicken breasts and red peppers on the grill and sliced them on romaine lettuce and topped with fresh basil, red wine vinegar and a touch of olive oil.

Delicious.

Problem is it's only 8 pm and I feel like hitting the kitchen.

Day 3 = all is well and in control. I ate a salad today and it tasted kinda gross cause I really wanted a hot temperature food.... so to solve that craving, I heated up a can of tomato soup and it hit the spot. yeh!!!! emoticon
