I was wondering if this group was still active....if so I'd like to jump in but I've noticed that nobody has posted in 2011
Hi everyone. I have been here on Spark for 3 years now.
I am 52 and a mother of 2 and grandma of 2.
I lost 20# right away when I joined Spark but gained it all back last year- I am now trying to lose it again and it seems so much harder now.
I live in Northeast Ohio in Huron County near Norwalk.

Hello there NW Ohio Gals! Findlay resident, mother of three, grandmother of two.
My friend/coworker turned me onto SP. I really love it. I really never had problems with my weight. It took me a while to drop the pounds after each of my three children. But I didn't work at it either. I went to college 10 years after I graduated high school. Gained a lot there, full-time single mom, full-time worker, part-time student (I stayed awake by eating snack foods so I could study) Once I graduated; weight back down with no effort.
That was my twenties. Those days are gone. Over the past ten years, I have gone on protein diets (co-workers said I was not healthy looking) I was working out at my neighbors gym. When that passed and I was once again single, I became a supervisor for Herbalife. Loved the product. I didn't excercise anymore...but I was the healthiest I have ever been. (the picture I use is for my inspiration, that was after loss of 20 pounds with strictly Herbalife, getting ready for a trip won thru them, to Vegas, about three years ago or so)
I didn't stick with them, computer issues and such, didn't sell anymore and lost my position.
Then the forties happened, I shouldn't but I do blame my age and the fact I had my hysterectomy (full abd) at the same time. I am now more than 30 pounds heavier than I have ever been and nothing I did helped, until SP.
For the first time in years I am once again lossing. Thanks to SP!
HI Im into YOGA, walking, and exercising (from on tv), like denise austin. Im a SAHM for now, since May, have a 5-year-old son who keeps me busy. Im very excited to join this group. I m afraid I havent been very good at tracking my exercise time, I'm lucky to get my food intake done. I really enjoy being outdoors, I live on the lake and there are alot of really cool places to walk.
Hi everyone! I joined SparkPeople a month ago and didn't even think to look for a local group! I am 29 years old and live in Erie, MI; just over the border (my backyard is actually State Line Rd!) I have struggled with my weight my entire life and have tried eDiets, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast and Alli. I love SP and am looking forward to a new lifestyle.

Never use the word 'diet' if you want lasting weight loss - it's about retraining our thinking & way of living!
I love motivating others to get active & live a healthier lifestyle - which in turn keeps me motivated!

Hi I'm Melissa or Missy, I'm not picky. I have lived in Toledo for about 2 years now, I lived in Cincinnati for 3 years and grew up in Northeast PA; Scanton to be exact (made famous by The Office!)
My problem is not so much the weight but the VERY unhealthy lifestyle. Recently a few magazines have been labeling it "skinny fat". If you look at me on the outside you will see an average 6 or 8. But I have high cholesterol, severe IBS, I'm always tired, I never work out, and slowly I've noticed the weight creeping up. I work 40-60 hours, sometimes 6 days a week, I can't tell you the last time I had a home cooked meal. I live on fast food and sugary snacks.
Not having family in the area I've noticed lately I eat really bad when I have nobody to talk to and I'm feeling stressed.
I'm what other like to call pear shaped so I store my fat in my lower half and have noticed things aren't fitting like they used to. I would like to start changing my habits to first start feeling healthier and change my habits before I one day start a family. Second, I want to feel good in my pants!
Short term goal- 15 pounds and build muscle (I am so weak that my chiropratcr yelled at me and told me there is no reason someone my age should be as weak as I am!!)
Long Term- Change eating habits, find healthier stress outlets.
Hope to get to know you all more as we journey towards our goals!
Hi! I'm Tracy. I am a SAHM of 3. I had lost about 70lbs. with Spark about a year and half ago. I am back to lose my baby weight now! I didn't exercise or eat right the whole time I was pregnant so now I've got to make up for it.
