How it will be when or if I get slender..Some of the things I have gained ..

It is me rowing in the rowing club without the feeling that the person behind me looks with disgust on my fat.

It is me walking up the stairs with ease

It is me that has regained the habit of moving myself every day - Either on bicycle or doing something - - I have gotten better about this

I donīt feel clumsy any more

I donīt feel ashamed and wondering that that fat lady in the mirror is me

I donīt say yes every time a friend offers me cake - and I donīt overeat. I have a goal of dignity at the table -- I am better at this

And I love my new body -- Some times getting slender seems like a dream in the fog

I want to be healthy.

Goals:
5lbs - 2 lb hand weights - 2/23/10! (already got this, not getting again!)
10 lbs - new sports bras -3/23/10! (already got this, not getting again!)
15 lbs - $10 at fav used bookstore!
20 lbs - 3 lb hand weights
25 lbs - new work out top
30 lbs - new work out pants
35 lbs - workout dvd
40 lbs - 5 lb hand weights
45 lbs - pool pass
50 lbs - bath products
55 lbs - massage
60 lbs - tongue pierced

This sounds like a trick question, lol

My immune system is basically non existent according to the doctors
My metabolism is so screwed up I can not even tell you (years and years or not eating right, 2 meal a day sometimes just a bag of chips)
I sleep 2 to 3 hours per night, the doctor says it is probably from not eating enough and not eating right each day
I hurt from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet daily, from the lack of exercise, from being so heavy...

I am miserable being fat!
I hate looking into the mirror!
I hate knowing people look at me and immediately think fat, ugly & disgusting!
I hate shopping for fat girl clothes so much so I own like 3 outfits!
I hate being sick all the time!
I hate being ugly!
I want to be able to get through 1 hour of straight exercise
I want to be able to go to the gym and look good!
I want to be able to buy Zumba wear that fits!
I want to be able to shop for clothing that are not fat girl clothes
I want to be able to go dancing and have a good time
I want to turn heads when I walk into a room like I used to!
I would like to be a Zumba instructor and stay fit for life!!!

I want to look and feel great. I want to be able to sit in a chair and not worry if it will hold me. Also i want to find clothes i like in my size and not worry about if I have a fat roll showing.

I f first you don"t succeed brush your self off and try again.

I want to lose weight so I look and feel better. I don't want to be super skinny, although that would not be a bad thing, but a good weight for my age of 54 and be healthier.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger...

Exercise REALLY does have a "Payday" .......... Several months ago I had to go to the emergency room for s'thing unexpected ............ While there I noticed two nurses and a lab tech talking softly in the corner of the room. Finally one nurse asked me: "Are YOU REALLY xxxxx years old!?" ............. I said, "Yes I am" ........... then they all chimed in and said "NO WAY!!!" ............ They all agreed I looked at least ten years younger than my years. I also saw a dermatologist for a little rash.... She looked at me, then back at my chart and said, "I thought I had somebody else's chart because you CAN'T BE THIS AGE!" .............. One nurse asked if I exercised, and I answered, "Most of my life."........ she said, "This is why you look so young." ........... I only say this to share, not brag: Fitness and healthy living really do defy the calendar years. ........ lol ......... emoticon

Oh crumbs, I started sp to get strong with my mobility and lose weight in the process. Had a major back/Hip injury a few years ago with the threat of a wheelchair hanging over my head. But got past that through walking, got back on a pushbike last year, although have since sold it lol.

My motivation is being as fit, healthy and within weight range before I hit menopause in about 4-6 yrs, if I'm lucky!

Also about to be a grandma for the first time and want to enjoy such prescious moments without being restricted.

So ZUMBA is a major break through for me............ even though I can't do the hops in any of the steps - thats just asking for trouble!!

Terri, your one of a kind... I Love your energy!

I have to keep reminding myself Why I’m Doing This. Yes, I want to keep losing weight. Yes, I want to be healthier. But those are side effects, benefits that come with my primary goal. The main reason I am doing all of this is because I want to stay Active and Look and Feel YOUNGER (at least 10 years). I'm not just vain, I want to live to be in my 100's and be independent while still enjoying Life.

Right now, I need to keep my eyes on the prize. Good nights’ sleep and morning workouts and at least one green smoothie a day, I believe are part of what's going to get me where I need to be, to be happy with my goal. Who knows I may be walking (or running) in a marathon on my 100th birthday. That means between now and then, I need to maintain moderation in all things.

Love, Laugh and do a little JIG (a dance) everyday to show the world that your'e Lovin Your Life!
