Thanks for the tip about the M2. I'll have to check that out!

My tried-and-true VHS workouts are usually what I use.
I have dozens (mostly purchased from thrift stores and eBay) and switch it up often.

I also have a Wii Fit and love Walk it Out and Wii Fit Free step and rhythm boxing.

My best weight loss investment has been my M2, like a bodybugg but much more discreet and I love the feedback I've lost 5 points of body fat since Feb although I have had it for 10 months I just got serious in Feb and faithfully started watching my fitness minutes. When I started I was burning 625 active calories a day and am now up to 1170 so between resting and active calories I burn about 2500-2600 a day. If I wasn't training for an endurance ride coming up I would be comfortable at about 700-800 fitness calories. The other thing I really like is that it tracks my healthy heart minutes which has made a huge difference in my body fat : ) yeah. emoticon emoticon

Netflix has been great for me for finding new workouts, or deciding whether or not to buy a video.

You might also look for video podcasts - there are tons out there devoted to yoga, pilates, aerobics, etc. Sometimes, the amount of resources makes choosing even harder, that's why I love that Coach Nicole's vids are avl here. :-)

The library, great idea!! I just ordered "Politics of food". This should be interesting, and possibly a little depressing but am looking forward to learning a lot.

I now have family members on board to pay attention to what they are putting into their mouths. Boy it sure helps when you get family members to join you in this, I can't believe what a difference it makes. The sheer idea of not even bringing up food in conversation makes it a lot easier!

Today is a hiking day for me. Can't wait to get out into this beautiful weather we are having here in Southern California.

I just "discovered" how many books about nutrition, healthy cookbooks, exercise plan books and workout videos my local library has, and I reserved a bunch online. This should spice up my routine a bit!
