May Box......

Coastal Scents..Revealed 3 Eyeshadow Quad (full size palette $20)
My daughter wanted to give this to one of her coworkers, so, yeah. :-)

Harvey Prince..Yogini Perfume (full size $26-55)
Notes of grapefruit & star jasmine
I am really picky about fragrances. This is okay, just not great

Macadamia Professional..Nourishing Moisture Oil Treatment (full size $40)
I usually run from hair oils but this was light & effective on my hair so I'll keep this.

Marcella..Hydra-C 24H Energizing Hydrating Gel (full size $25)
This is for dry skin. Claims it brightens skin but, I need to research this one on Google. :-o

Smashbox Cosmetics..Photo Finish Primer Water (full size $32)
I gave this to my daughter. I have no interest in "misting" my face before or after applying my makeup. I already use 3 different formulas of this brands Primers (hydrating, color correcting & sheer) that I apply like you would a moisturizer and I'm happy with those.

Yaaaay for BB !!

I have never heard of Birch Box. Thank you for sharing this info. Way back when I was a teen, there was "The World of Beauty" kits, (similar to Cosmetique) how I loved getting those. emoticon

Since I can't find my prior months cards since I last wrote in here, those will have to wait until I do find them. I have them, I just haven't a clue where I put them. :-/
So, since I got my February Box today, here goes......

derma e
This is an Anti-Wrinkle Vit A Glycolic Scrub
Full size is $12.95
Suggests using it 1-2 times/week

Fekkai
Blowout Hair Refresher Dry Shampoo
Full size $10-$20

Not Soap, Radio
Body Wash
Full size $16
has Blackberry & Vanilla Scent
says you can either add it to your bath water or use directly on your skin & rinse

Sumita

Full size $11-$21
I actually like this Brands Eyeliners. They go on pretty smooth and smudge well

theBalm "Read My Lips"

I like it

Leslie, Yes, BirchBox is a Beauty subscription that only costs $10/mo. If you pay for a year [like I do] it is $110 (so you get one month free). If you want to scroll down through the posts that Suze and I have posted, you will see some of the things we have recvd so far each month.
I'm going to get on here a bit later and post what I have recvd the last couple of months as soon as I find my cards (that come in your Box that describes what you got). There are more expensive beauty subscriptions but my daughter introduced me to BirchBox and I enjoy it. Plus, did I mention it's only $10/mo ? Lol

Sad becuz I had to take my Sun Conure to the Vet. Took me 2 days before I could find one that treats birds around this area. Otherwise I would've ended up driving to Atlanta.
I'll tell you about it in an email...too long to say in this post ( plus, this is a BB topic ). Lol

Okay.....I love the Beauty Protecter/Detangler ! I had to buy that one.
I will keep buying the Vasanti products. My face responds well to them.

My Box:
amika dry shampoo...gave to my daughter becuz I don't need it. I did spray some on my fingertips and saw no white residue. She hasn't tried it yet becuz she hasn't been to the gym in 3 days. That's when she uses it.
Ellovi vanilla butter moisturizer....smells okay but I don't agree with them stating it is lush. :-/
ModelCo black mascara....hated it ! I'll stick with my SmashBox. :-)
Paulas Choice "skin balancing super antioxidant serum with retinol.... Will buy this !
I have never been disappointed with any of the Paulas Choice products (so far).
Suki exfoliate foaming cleanser... I keep forgetting to try this becuz I like my Vasanti. Lol

I want to win stuff ! Heh heh

I figured out (on my own) the perfect way to fill in my eyebrows !
This might not work for everyone but it gives me the perfect shape that I want.

Okay.....
I place the tip of my finger on the outer tip of my eyebrow, stretch it out straight towards my temple and starting at the center of my eyebrow, I lightly fill in my brows at that angle.
When I'm done, both sides are even and slightly arched
(so I don't end up with the "surprised look")

This idea just popped into my head a couple of weeks ago out of nowhere.
Love how my mind works sometimes.

Thank You Suze.... I was gravitating toward either the Climate/Frizz Control or the one for Color Treated hair. Cross your fingers this product works for me.
How did you win the Nars Lipstick/Gloss ? That's awesome !!
I go to Ulta. Sephora is just toooo far away from me :-( It bugs me that Ulta doesn't give out samples.
I went through all of my hair products on the shelf last Monday. There were six of them that I either didn't like or wasn't right for my hair. So I bundled them up in a Starbucks bag, took them to work w/me on Wednesday and showed them to a few ladies and within five minutes they were all claimed. :-)

Cleansing oil? The sample? I used it yesterday and at first I didn't think much of it but today I like it, curls are holding
Ouidad my hairdresser has me change with the seasons so for summer I am using the climate control defrizzing and in winter the blue one, I use the spray in sun one all the time to protect my color in light. Sephora has good samplers on it.
The Nars lipstick/gloss I won yesterday is awesome - Scandal. I had been "done" by them last fall and ended up chucking the lip, I do bold but it was wrong red for me this one I think is going to work

I was really surprised and happy with how gentle the Avanti is. I have very sensitive skin and usually stay away from exfoliators but this one isn't abrasive.

My BirchBox order from last week just arrived today ! Talk about fast shipping !!
The directions for the Enzymatic Brightening (Exfolator) says to use it 3-4 x week. I will be praying that this gives me the result(s) that I've been searching for. I have tried a number of exfolators in the past but none of them did more than just soften my face. If this truly does give me a brighter complexion, I will post it here at the end of the month ( or, hopefully sooner )

I chose the Davina sample. I've never rec'vd it in a Box and wanted to try it.
I'm almost out of my Vasanti Detox face cleanser so ordered another one yesterday. I also ordered the Vasanti Brightening in the hopes it will really do what it claims. I'll let ya know.
I'm getting them both free by using my BirchBox points. :-)

I swear by Ouidad but that's just my hair. Don't get me wrong, I love getting my box every month. Yup, the Be Kind bars rock. And I have found products I like and have bought. I actually went and got the Jergens Glow - works better than the pricey stuff. Got your goodie on routines. LOL, you do hair, I do makeup. Keep in mind that I leave house before 5:30 a.m. Summer I am more casual so tinted moisturizer, blush, concealer/primer, eyebrow powder, 4 shades of eyeshadow, this morning I used 2 birchbox eyeliners one in jade cream with the Cynthia Rowley in the middle, and then lower lid with Chanel Marine, mascara and lipstick :) Do more in winter! And I can do all of this in under 10 minutes

I'm still spending some time reading customer reviews about Ouidad.....so far it isn't giving me enough evidence that it will work on my stubborn/finicky hair.

I knew before I started my subscription to BirchBox that the types of products I would be receiving every month would be limited to Hair, Face, Body, Makeup, Nails, Food..... and what I mean by limited is, really, what more is there ? What excites me is the chance to spend a pittance of money for the opportunity to try samples of Brands I've had an interest in trying but didn't want to pay for a full size product and also to learn about Brands I never knew existed. Through BirchBox, I found a really good face cleanser I had never heard of...Vasanti Detox.
I had never heard of Paula's Choice until BirchBox...now I am a regular on her site. :-)
Oh, and the Be Kind snack bars.... I love the one with the pumpkin seeds. So yummy. When I first tried it I thought it was "okay" and at that time I wasn't really a snack bar eater. But I needed a quick, relatively healthy snack for at work and this works well for me. After my 3rd bar, I was hooked. And a box of these at the Commissary is only $2.50 ! Bonus !!

Your box sounds fun. Now I understand about the hair stuff. I am low maintenance on hair, comb it when I wash it and that's it and only do that once a week. Didn't have hairspray till I was 32! and I have a little booster from Ouidad now which I forget to use :)

Suze.... I forgot to answer your post. Hahaha.
I still haven't found a favorite shampoo and conditioner for my hair. I've been using John Frieda Repair & Restore for quite a while now. I have other hair products from him that I use also... What I'd really like to find is the perfect Deep Conditioner for my hair. I have bought so many that I can't remember them all and have probably bought the same one(s) more than once. :-o
I have a shelf filled with hair products that I use for different styling purposes.
Oils, Creams, Mousse, dry conditioners, Leave-in conditioners. I change up my hairstyle depending on weather, what I think I'll be doing at work that day, having a good hair day or a stubborn hair day. The humidity here makes my hair look like a nightmare sometimes. When I have to work outside in the heat and I start to sweat, *sigh*, my hair is trashed. Hairspray can't even hold my style when this happens.
One day, I will find the Perfect product(s) that will keep my hair looking good all day.

Got my Box today !
:-)

I got the little samples of the new Nexxus Color Assure Primer, Shampoo & Conditioner
Noir Long Wear Eyeliner ( in black ). Not my favorite eyeliner color but I wear it occasionally
Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect...will try it tomorrow
Shiseido Ultimate Power Infusing Concentrate...will use this morning & night until it runs out and hopefully it does what it claims. "Boosts results" of Serums & Moisturizers.
Hello Breathspray in Pink Grapefruit Mint... I had to have my husband try this for me to write a review on it. I cannot stand grapefruit. Lol. Anywho, after he finished a cigarette, he pumped two quick sprays in his mouth and then gently blew his breath towards me... It works !! Wow !!!
I did not even smell a hint of the cigarette he just put out. Awesome stuff. To bad I don't like grapefruit. But, it does come on two other flavors so I'll probably buy some. Oh, he took my sample with him to work. Lol
