This morning as I was watering the yard, I could hear the buzzzzzzzzz of a gazillion bees harvesting the blossoms of the sweet locust tree right above my head. I looked up to see the sunbeam coming thru the tree and it was absolutely beautiful!!!

I was in a parade yesterday and got to see some of my old co-workers and the new one who took my place. He has been my friend for about 5 years already... we are all connected! It was nice to see and hug them all.
Went to the baptism of my grandson and enjoyed the day immensely. The priest was so wonderful to explain everything he was doing and why and truly enjoyed being a part of the ceremony with our family. I was just a beautiful and perfect day well spent.

Sounds nice, Ana! I don't have kids, I will meet mine in heaven some day... (2 miscarriages), but I have nephews and nieces and as SS and SD from previous marriage who keep in touch. Today it is still outside and I had my coffee on the patio. What a beautiful day!
I had a very beautiful and special Mother's Day with my son, daughter-in-law and newest grandson. We spent the whole day together and they showered me with surprises throughout the day.. .

I have to tell you about the beauty I saw yesterday (we got home too late last night to post). . . . We took a ride into the mountains through miles of rolling meadows blanketed with purple wildflowers. Unfortunately the road was a very twisty single lane and there was no place to pull over and snap a picture . . . but I will never forget the day that I rode through a postcard!

Took a walk with my grandson today and was just amazed at the size of the azalea bushes here in NYC/ I guess its the difference in a few degree warmer weather. Back at home the bushes are so small.

Discovering a Blue Jay's nest in the trellis above one of our clematis and watching a pair of birds (probably Thrush) enjoying a refreshing dip in our overflow pond. Amazing!

Gorgeous! I got home in time to see my daffodils blooming this weekend. Lots of green shoots everywhere. Last year I planted a lot of stuff...but can't remember what and where so this year will be a surprise!

I know what you mean, Ana. We now have smoke from Mexico to add to our allergy woes.
On another note, my darker purple iris are now blooming! I planted two falls ago and they do not bloom the first year, so this is the first time for me to see my own blooming iris! AND my favorite flower. Too bad they don't last long.
Well, I guess the saying "Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder" will have to do . . . . We've been having quite a variety of weather, and as the setting sun peaked under the clouds, it lit up the tops of the trees in the field across from our living room windows. It was absolutely beautiful and the contrast between the trees and the black clouds behind them was striking. As I shouted out to the garage for DH to look at it (cos he loves stuff like this too), a brilliant double rainbow materialized right in front of our eyes. It was breathtaking.

I was looking out my window at the first iris bloom and a cardinal flew by. Iris is my favorite flower. Too bad I cannot enjoy them all year! I see the cardinals most of the year, but it is always a joy.

Cool mornings, warm days, hummingbirds on the back porch, what could be lovelier? We have a vine with yellow flowers on our back porch that is profuse with blooms and the hummingbirds love it!

I think cardinals are one of the prettiest birds, don't think we have them here though! Beauty for the day, is a really nice walk with my pup Sheba and the beautiful surroundings!
I love the birds too and the cardinals are back again in our back yard! It is wonderful to see them. DH saw some hummingbirds too. We also have doves and finches that hang out in the back. Beautiful!
The daffodils are poking out of the ground and some of the trees have little buds on them! Hallelujah! Spring is on its way!

I took a yoga class today for the first time ever. Towards the end, after we had been just lying there relaxing for about 5 minutes she hit a gong or bell (I couldn't see it since I was relaxing with my eyes closed) a few times. It was a beautiful peaceful sound.

Woke up at 2 am this morning to let the dog out. The view from my deck with the glow from the falling snow...the pine tree branches dusted...and the spire of the church on the hill all lit up was like a painting. I have tried to capture this view many times on camera and it never does it justice...but everytime I see it...it takes my breath away.

Had a lot to do today, so I decided to take a relaxing hot tub before getting ready. It was the first blue sky/sunshine day we've had in a while. While I was soaking, a ray of sunshine fell upon the glass mobile hanging by the tub . . . and it sent prisms of sunshine streaking through the steam rising from the tub. It was magical!!!
