My daughter really wants one and I tell her that when she is out on her own, she can get anything she wants. I have given it some thought, but tats fade and if you gain and lose weight they tend to lok awful. Everyone I know who has one wishes they never got ine. Marty

I am a 50 year old grandmother - I have 4 tats - each one has a special meaning to me. My 1st hubby (he died 12 years ago of heart attack alot due to weight issues) He "gave" 2 of them to me for bdays - one is from my son for mothers day - 1 is in honor of a nephew that was involved in a car accident - honoring his life...

I always thought about a small tattoo where no one could really see it, but that tells me I wouldn't want people to know I had one, so that tells me a lot. Some people go to the extreme with them. They make beautiful ones that really are pretty, but I still find myself staring! I guess it is what you feel comfortable with. My daughter got one years ago across her back and it is pretty enough. I kidded her I was getting one when my hubby and I got into riding a motorcycle last summer which was something I had never done before and really enjoy. She got pretty worked up with the thought of "her mom" getting one. Funny how kids can't see their parents or grandparents be cool. I guess I thought the same way about mine.
Do any of you have tattoos, and if you do, do you wish you never got it??? That was my biggest fear about getting one is people say they regret them later.

HI, A full body wrap sounds wonderful! I might do that after I get to goal. Would you get a tattoo, even if no one could see it? I don't have any "tats", and I don't think I would want one. But, on other people, they don't look too bad.

I'm going to have a full body wrap when I am at goal. I had one a long time ago and lost over 25 in. It tightened and firmed as as long as the weight stayed off it was fab. Marty

Yes, I knew a woman who had liposuction on her belly. It came back in a few years. Sometimes I think God genetically programmed us and it is just not cool to mess with Mother Nature. (teehee)

That must have been what happened to my backside. They must have missed with the injection as it sure got plumped up.
JUST KIDDING, thought everyone might enjoy a laugh. I would never get that or the botox for the eyes as I don't think that looks natural at all.
If I ever could go for a real body change it would have to be the lipo but I think it is very painful and I wonder how long it lasts before you just swell back up again. Does anyone know someone who had that done?

Would you... have those injections in your lips to plump them up?
I have heard some very good things about it. I gave it serious thought when my hip was giving me fits but didn't. I might try it depending on the problem Marty

Pool was great - spent 60 min yesterday and today. No aches or pains after. My favorite spot is the hot tub. That really does the trick Marty

Hey Marty, I'll join you at the pool. Tried to get the yoga motivation today but the cold, wet made me too stiff this time. A warm pool would do the trick.

I am catching up on old discussions but many of these I can add comments on. I saw a good friend of mine yesterday who had permanent eyebrows done. When I asked her why she said she had simply lost her eyebrows due to menopause. I would have never guessed it.
I also had saline injected on some of my spider vein clusters. It just made the vein open up that was collapsed. One was low on my left leg and one on the back knee area of the same leg. I never wore shorts ever because they were so dark and looked like a big purple bruise. Had them for 28 years and got them when I was pregnant with my first child. This was done at my dermatologist office and was somewhat painful but something you can endure easy enough. BEST $250 I have ever spent. Now wear Capri's and don't have to feel embarrassed. I wish I had done it a long time ago.

Well, I guess it is genetic. I have had sclerotherapy for spider veins, but they come back. I have one good leg and one bad leg because of an accident when I broke my leg leaving a scar on my shin. The broken veins develop around there. Joy!

If i lost 100+ pounds, yes I would. No amount of exercise is going to remove all that excess flab. I have seen before and after pictures and the results are outstanding. Think of what a moral booster that would be. Marty

If it's irreversible I don't want it. I have seen the tattoo on eye liners and brows and they look soooo fake! Fade out like old sailor tattoos and need retouch every 5 years. My gal pal had her lips and eye brows done and loves it. Looks okay on her but too painted. A good moisturizer, lipstick, eyebrow brush and mascara is all I need. In my opinion...All any gal needs.

Wow - what a great subject to open for discussion. I would have to say no to facelift or Botox, and *maybe* to the permanent eyeliner. My aunt had it done about 20 yrs ago(yes it is actually a tattoo), and she is approaching 80 now - it still looks really good (honest!). Imagine how much time that has cut out of her daily makeup routine? She got a medium grey color applied - it's really perfect, and the color I would normally apply.

I love my laugh lines. They make my face so interesting. Smooth unlined face say nothing. My wrinkles (and I really don't have many) say that I have lived and the laugh lines tell people I have had fun doing it. Marty

Yes, I will just be happy to be a smaller size, forget the sags and wrinkles. They are a badge of what has happened in my life. I have facials occasionally, they make you feel good, but I am not sure if they make you look younger. If I was really wrinkled I might worry more about it.

Right on Marty! All the extra wrinkles and sags really annoy me. I am now trying to regain a few fill in lbs. Just want them to be healthy lbs. I have tried botox for medical not cosmetic reasons and found it painless really. just a tiny prick and nothing else. However my vanity isn't that great that I'd go for the facial tox just to look younger or less angry lol. Although aging gracefully happens more to men than us I do believe wisdom shows and laugh lines say something about how happy you truly are.

My truly beautiful sister-in-law had botox injections in between her eyes. She said it was to make her look "less angry". I might have that done, but nothing else! Not the lips, that looks like it would really hurt!
no - i agree with marty - i think beauty comes from healthy living - not thru a surgery knife.
My question - would you have "permanent eye liner" applied (sort of like tatooing??) - my answer is no - I have a friend that had it done and it looks ok - but certainly not woth the cost

Answer my question, and ask your own. Explain if you wish.
Would you... have a facelift? (NO for me! I think the women who have had facelifts do not look younger, they just look like they have had a facelift! Some are freaky looking!)
