Dempsey puts his Boxer jowls on my shoulder and tickles me with those short chin whiskers. This usually happens around 3-4 a.m. He goes out and expects his Dentastix to be awaiting him when he comes back in! We both go back to bed until 6 or 7. I usually have to go get him up then when I go in the front room (where his crate is) to open the mini blinds for the day. He snuggles up in the back of his gigantic plastic dog crate. We don't bother shutting the gate anymore. He sleeps in there because he wants to. Last night around midnight we had a thunderstorm. So he was up pacing around and slept on his blanket that we keep near my bed until the storm had passed. Then he went back to bed. He is such a good dog!
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Jenny usually lets me sleep until it gets light out, and then I get pawed, walked on and sung to until I get up. Sometimes this happens in the middle of the night, if she has an "emergency" she needs to take care of!
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow. Mary Anne Radmacher
Does your dog(s) wake you up? Do they have a “time” that they want you out of bed in the morning?
I am not allowed to sleep past 6 am. The girls start at 5:30 with nuzzling and some kisses. If I don't get up, Tazzy will pull my pillow right out from under my head and Gypsy gets right in my face and starts the "wookie moans". As if that is not enough, if I push Gypsy away, she'll take my blanket and then Tazzy licks my feet! Ok ladies, mom's up!
