Seems as the kids get older (especially our son) the hugs get better and meaningful. (Maybe all that time in the sandbox had something to do with it)
I saw where the Enterprise was under way, we will keep your son and the crew in our prayers. It was good to have you drop in although so briefly, hope to see you more often we miss you!
Everybody have a great week, Kelly

I'm with you on that one about the hugs, Barb. As a mom, I can never seem to get enough.Got about a half a dozen last weekend! I'm a "one kid" mom, too.
Kelly, it's obvious you need something stronger, girl! I think amoxicillian has figured out how to dodge everything by now. I always seem to need the next step or two.

This is the "between premob training and shipout" weekend... son comes home for a very brief visit before what he calls "game on". Last time (when he went to Iraq) he didn't even come home for this leave... but last time was the craziness of November 9, 2009 at Fort Hood and nothing was "normal" for him/his unit.
I'm pleased to have one more chance at mom-son hugs before he goes. I always try to manage my own expectations in this regard, but you know you really, really want those last few hugs.

Indeed . . . crazy beats out normal any day of the week . . . hence my moniker . . . ONECRAZYDOG (and besides that, my dog really IS crazy!) That's what keeps us "sane" . . . or DOES it????
Glad it's Friday. Long week, but sleeping better, feeling better.

Why be normal when "crazy" is more fun?
I was thinking the same thing about Sunny, reminded me that I was behind taking the last of amoxicillian, guessI'm going to have to see an ENT because the symptoms are still there. I had 5 weeks to amp up strength training and didn't do it, really paying the price for it. Done my share of walking, found that wearing the wrong shoes makes a difference. Sometimes you just throw the first pair you see not thinking what you'll be doing the rest of the day.
Maybe Eda became on of those snow bunnies?
Barb (onekid) is it this weekend your son rotates out?
Actually last night got more sleep than I had in days, kinda a good feeling. Didn't realize how tired I was and glad I climbed into bed at a decent hour (after falling asleep on the sofa first!)
Have a great day, after heavy rains yesterday looks like we may get some VitaD here.
Hugs, Kelly

Two Barbs - Now that's something!!! It's interesting both of you have similar health issues, too! It's also great to see that you're a crazy as the rest of the bunch of us here! The more the merrier in my opinion. . . Worked out at the gym for the first time in a week. My exercise in the interium was walking. Felt good to get back in there and strength train again. Sunny, I do hope you are feeling better. Kelly, you keep things ahoppin' here! Anybody seen or heard from Eda?
Well got to go take a load of laundry out of dryer and get to foldin' it. Sweet Dreams ladies

Cool, two Barbs…too cool Barbs!
Interesting how you two made this successful journey, some great lessons to put into play.
Driving home the other night picked up the end of a discussion on Vit D and something else ( don't remember what) and how getting them through nutrition with a supplement boost and not relying as so many do on a pill improves life overall generally. Her theory, you're eating better so you're moving more the benefits all go to a win win. OK everybody, go out and get some sunshine!
Have a great day, hugs to all you. Stop by later and visit…Kelly

I was skeptical about exercise in the beginning of this journey, partially because I just plain had no energy!! Of course, tons of that was related to the thyroid and all it's idiosyncracies, but stress was HUGE in that problem, too. BuT once I got started, I realized how much better I felt and things happened that I never expected. I felt better, looked better, ate better, my "numbers" were better. All that served to encourange continuing the changes in lifestyle I'd made.
I have found Winter to be my most challenging thyroid times! Hair gets brittle, sking D-R-Y, hair starts to get thin. BUT now things are a lot more stable. I do find that my does used to have to be adjusted upwards during the winter, but THIS winter it was the best it's been.
Strange, but I had read that Hash can go in cycles . . . hyper and hypothyroid. I though that was crazy, because I never, ever remember going through the 'hyper'. But I hae to say, it does seem like my thyroid is functioning at least a little more. For right now, my Levo hasn't been changed but I see my Endo in May and it may be decreased.
In the meantime I'm a happy camper!
Stay the paty of exercise and tracking. That's the absolute keys for me too!
Hey, with a name like BARB, we've GOTTA be successful, right! LOLOL

Hey, another Barb (1CrazyDog)! And second coincidence, I, too, have Hashimoto's hypothyroidism. I've been on the same dosage of Synthroid through the whole weight loss, and will be having it checked yet again this week... just to make sure the change in weight doesn't mean the dosage needs to change. I've been maintaining for a year, and it crept up over the Winter... thus the "increase mileage" and "track the food more closely" efforts currently. I even changed my ticker back to the weight loss one, to remind myself how far I've come, rather than emphasize the slippage!
Anyway, it can be done, as you and I both know... and the exercise helps so much with dealing with the uncertainties and anxieties of life.

ALOHAEV1: Well, I must have the most clear sinuses on the planet! LOL Feel much better today, though. Got sleep (in fits & spurts) last night and that helps.
As for how I lost weight. Well, with both autoimmune thyroid disease and diabetes, I felt that this is it. Either I live a life feeling rotten or do something about it! Needless to say, having thyroid disease is a real anchor to the weight loss efforts, but I beat the odds. With following a low carb diet I lost weight which slowly led to my getting back to normal blood sugars and I am so proud to say that I've now been off diabetic meds for one year. HOWEVER, I will always be testing. My blood sugar is my guide as to how I eat, especially with the carbs.
I don't do white flour, white rice, processed foods, sugar (of course) and simple carbs (all carbs convert to sugar in the system but simple carbs make the blood sugar spike and plumet rapidly which affects your insulin levels and actually makes a vicious circle of hunger!)
Strangely enough, my thyroid reacted favorably to the weight loss too! So, now I'm in maintenance and am very careful about what I eat.
I do make it a point to eat generally 5 times/day. I am literally NEVER hungry.
I didn't get to my top weight of 192 lbs. overnight and it took lots of work to get to my 120 lb. goal, then continued to lose to my current weight, which is 100 lbs. Now, yes, that's not a lot of weight for sure, BUT remember that I am only 4 ft. 10-1/2 in. so this is a good weight for me. I feel great and have more energy than I have in years.
So, I have to say the other huge thing for me is portion control. I measure and weigh. When I get away from that, the portions just creep up. So, it's just better for me ti weigh and measure my food.
Have a great day everyone!

Don't you just hate it when a cold interferes with something so special? Won't be the same but it'll be nice to go over the pics and talk about it. Glad you're feeling better.
Barb, 44 laps???? I'd still be in the pool. And don't probably take time off, do it. Jitters happen to all of us; you sure found a stress reliever. The emotion doesn't change , doesn't matter how many times they head out.
1CRAZYDOG, tears are good beside they'll clear out your sinuses, etc. We're all right here for ya! It's good he's going into something he will enjoy. I just noticed your weight ticker - awesome job. You'll have to tell us how you did it!
That'll be a learning curve Sharon for DIL being home alone through this. The pride in our children never stops, doesn't matter how old they are or where they are with their careers.
I'll be back later, it's going to be a long day. Furbabies got me up again at 3 and I'd love to go back to bed but have so much to do some of it just don't want to tackle.
Hugs to all of you, Kelly

Exactly so, Sharon. I am fortunate that my boss understands the changing nature of military stuff, having grown up in an Army family and having an AF son, herself. When my son tells me which day... it could be pretty short notice.
Happy impending grand-mommyhood to you, by the way... what a great time of anticipation.

Welcome Barb, Mommaducster, and 1CrazyDog. This is a GREAT group and you will find lots of support, friendship, and caring here.
Sunny, I'm so very sorry you had to miss your Dad's salute due to your illness. I know your sis took lots of pictures, and will fill you in on all of the details, too.
Well, it was a wonderful but very QUICK two day visit with our son. He was dog tired from the exercise he headed up last week, plus played a significant part in, and then the nightly drinking with' ole buddies! He slept almost 12 hours Saturday night! I told him today I was glad he got a couple of days to just relax and regroup with us. I know if he'd been alone, he'd have spent the time working on his Masters stuff. We just talked and caught up.
He is getting excited about the baby, and is very much looking forward to the time when his wife no longer is feeling the nausea and fatigue. He will leave again in a few weeks to go to SOS school, so he will miss a good part of her feeling better. He's disappointed about that. He's been doing it all, holding up the home fort, and working, and traveling. It's good for him - builds character, and then he will appreciate it when he's gone in the future and his wife has to do it. Right girls? He looks good though, and I am so very proud of what he's accomplishing. He is making a difference, saving lives, making things better. . .
Yes, I agree with Kelly. You should go to your son's graduation if you can. It will mean a lot to him and you and your husband.
Barb, I recommend trying to coordinate your day off with your son. He knows what's left to do, and that way maybe he can manage to have it be a real light duty day, or not have to do anything so that you'll get to spend maximum time together. We did that with our son, and it worked out to be very nice.
Toodles for now, ladies . . . Have a good one tomorrow!

I gave my boss the heads up that I will probably pick a day to take off next week, just don't know which. Next week will be son's one-week leave before his final departure. There's a part of me that started to get real jittery remembering what happened the LAST time he started the out-processing with his unit... BUT, a 44 lap swim after work really set that one to rest. Ahhhh...
Fellow Moms, exercise is my stress management tool. And there is no exercise that feels quite as much like a reward to me than a good lap-swimming session!
Thinking of you all... Sunny, hope you are better enough to visit your dad soon. I know that tug-of-war... you want to see them, but you dare not put them at risk.

SUNNY332: Thanks for the welcome and my welcome to other newbies!
Well, today went fairly smoothly. Got up @ 3 am to get John (DS) to the recruiting station by 5 am. Then he is off to the "processing" or "reception" ctr. and will go to Ft. Leonard Hood in Missouri.
John initially wanted to be a Ranger but no go. His assigned job now is combat engineering, which I think is perfect for him, frankly. To quote his description . . . "I will build stuff and blow stuff up." Ok.
Anyway, kinda feel like a good today. Already miss DS, but know he made a choice that's good for him and support him 100%.
So, now to settle into our new routine without him here. He graduates in June then will be home for 2 weeks, depending on his assigned post. We'll see. I'll be glad to have him home for the two weeks, though.
HUGS one and all. This is a fantastic group!!!

I am finally feeling a little better this morning but still sticking close to home. The VFW is honoring my Dad today for his service and wish I could go but don't want him to get this. Sis will take photos for me.

Hello new team! Only reason I hadn't joined here before was that I tend to limit the number of my teams because I can't keep up with them all as regularly as I'd like and still keep a training schedule... so probably a couple of others will get dropped... Right now, I need to be hanging around other military associated folk... because y'all "get it", and I try to avoid talking too much about these specific things out in the open of the international Spark world.
For those of you who hadn't met me in other forums or on blogs / spark pages: I'm a 59 year old mom of a Sgt in the Army Reserve. I don't live near a base, so finding on-line connections in addition to the e-mail list of the family relations group of his unit has been an important source of support for me. I hope that I can return the favor!
I look forward to getting to know a few more moms as I once again put the flag in the window and wait it out.

Well, here we grow again...we have two new Moms. One many of us already know ONEKIDSMOM; the other you're going to love her name, MAMADUCKSTER and she is brand new to SParks.
WOW Sharon, how great is that they are going to be stationed "close by", bet you've already set gps to the area! When does all this happen? Interesting how excited he is about becoming a Daddy.
Sunny hope you're all better! I don't know, taking megadoses of amoxicillin, should have knocked it out by now - at least it isn't worse, just expected I'd be over it.
Haven't made it to the store, barely have meals and a list. Actually the pantry I can manage many more mini or starter meals out of before it is really really bare. I've decided since the fridge and freezer are so empty give it a good cleaning.
How do you like that, furbabies get me up before 3 and they are both sacked out now. I crashed a little after nine last night so my body clock was awake just didn't want to get out of bed.
I hope none of you have families affected with all the tornadoes this past week, it is just absolutely heart wrenching to see what has happened.

Sunny, I hope that you are feeling somewhat better. My mom used to make my dad "hot toddy"; a good stiff shot of whisky and fill the rest of the mug with hot lemonade. Drink up and then pile on a couple of extra blankets. That would literally sweat whatever was ailing him completely out of him, and he was able to get up and go to work feeling better. Always amazed me 'cause it worked.
Our son was delayed, then flight cancelled, and then got here and luckily to an airport closer to where we were staying. He looks good, and I can tell he is getting excited abour being a daddy. He's talking lots about DIL, how she's doing, what they've been talking about, and is sharing lots of things. We spent part of today getting his rental car, helping him get checked into base hotel, and then did al little of sightseeing.
It went by way too fast as it usually does. . . Good news is the new job will be in Ohio. Much closer to us - the closest they've been so far!
Hope you managed to get your pantry stocked with lots of healthy goodies, Kelly.
Let's make it a good week!

Sunny, lots of chicken soup, hot tea and honey with lemon (maybe a toddy at bed time?). It's going around it seems. So lay low todayand feel better soon.
Nashville for the most part with both storms came through okay although yesterday the hail was huge. Sadly not so much luck for other parts of TN, Kentucky and Alabama were really hit hard, now its the gulf coast states that are getting it. Then there's the white stuff piling up in the north.

It is strange how 12 hours can change one's plans. I woke up with a sore throat and a fever so meeting our son is off for today. We will drive to KC or Wichita next weekend and pick up the beef. First thing is for me to get to feeling better. DH has been sick since Wednesday and I thought I wasn't going to "catch" it but now I have so bring on the hot tea/honey and soup.
Sharon - enjoy your visit.
Kelly, I saw the storms were headed your direction. What a tough 48 hours for so many. Praying for those affected by the tornadoes.
Love you all, Sunny

That is good to hear about your Dad, amazing what we treasure even one day at a time, may he have more of them. Bet you're getting some good beef wish we had room for something like that.
How cool, that you get to visit with your son-love it when things work out that way. Are you Nana already Sharon?
Okay mom nature, enough already. Hope everyone is fine, we came through with lots of big hail unfortunately other parts of the state didn't fare so well again. I've got weather channel on, Ohio and KY really took a hit. Oh my. I was out in the truck had to turn around get my car because of the wind, you know it's bad when big rigs are doing 60.
Well, have a great week-end, Kelly

Awe, you all are just the best and I appreciate you all so very much. Dad was a little more lucid yesterday and actually talked some. We will take all of those days.
Sharon, do have fun with your son. We are meeting our Son in KC tomorrow to pick up our beef. We are splitting a half with him/DIL. It is kind of expensive up front but in the long run much less than if we bought it at our local grocery store. Plus the farmer does not use growth hormones.
Take care - I am off soon the the treadmill and bike. Do have a FAB Friday.

There'd be no one left if we fired anyone for putting family or self first, so put that out of your mind...
I'll raise a glass of all of that Sharon, well it's kinda early so I'll wait until later meanwhile here's a cup of joe.

No worries, Sunny. We all understand cause we've been there, too. Your priorities are where they need to be right now. Wish we could all get together with you and give you some lovin' and cheerin' up over a cup of coffee, or a glass of wine, or some hard stuff. . . with lots of hugs thrown in for good measure.
Kelly when I get my next frig it'll be one with french doors and the freezer on the bottom, and water and ice dispenser in the door! My friend just got a new one, and it's so sleek, and beautiful, and the water and ice in the door is the icing on the cake! Plus it's more energy efficient than the one I have. Plus you don't have to keep opening the door to get ice or water, or both.
Here it is March already, a new month and new goals to ponder.
Hugs Ladies, Sharon

So sorry, Kelly and Team. So preoccupied with Dad these days. I think there is just not enough hours in the day.
I did so poorly in February so March, I am going to give it my best effort to get back on track.
Dad is holding his own and we are just taking it one day at a time.
I will get back here later and read the posts. Don't "fire me" from the team.
Love you lots, Sunny

Hope everyone came through those storms yesterday. My heart goes out to all of those communities. More to come Friday.
I've had fridges like yours Sharon, this one is 20 yrs old hold my breath everytime it belches just hope it holds out until we decide when to get things rolling for the move to Florida. Then do we go with something like yours again or what I really like, the basic french door and freezer on the bottom (in white with stainless handles).
Here it is March already, a new month and new ??? How would you complete this? I've got to reset my sleep clock, waking up at 2 and can't go back to sleep but right now I am all of a sudden really tired, going to climb in the recliner for awhile. Hugs to all of you, and Sunny hope all is well you've been awfully quiet and I just realized you aren't travelling. Kelly

I agree with you, Kelly. Eda has indeed had tremendous success with her nutrition and exercise as it was. I only wish I could do half as well - I'd be one happy camper!!! I'll be looking for that exercise bra. Totally unbelievable price, too!
My little freezer above my frig is jam packed! Considering the ice maker takes up one third, there's not much left for food! I have 2 chicken breasts in there and a pack of turkey tenderloins. Just added some green beans for veggies. Don't remember what else, but I need to make some room.
Hope you're doing well, Sunny, and that your Dad is improving some. We are keeping you in our prayers.
Toodles for now ladies. . .

Guess everyone is shaking their heads yes about this clean thing. What little I know about it just doesn't make sense. Eda seems you had a serious issue with lack of whatever so I'd be very careful. You have been so successful with your program of food and exercise that your bod isn't at all happy with such a drastic change. Saw your blog with the bra, actually looks like an everyday thing, no wonder you like it. We'll be looking for you, so better drop by sooner than later.
Oh my, they're talking on the radio…Walmart is doing away with the greeters! ????
Talking monotonous, didn't realize how much a little of this and a little of that I've had stashed in the freezer, now that it is pretty much empty as is the fridge need to sit down with some ideas for food prep again and get back to eating like a normal person (well describe normal)
Gosh here it is the end of February already, our grand daughter turned 11 yesterday. She has changed so much just since school started this year.
All this food talk is making me hungry, don't feel like cooking thinking head on over to the Barrel grab some oatmeal and pick up breakfast to take to hubs then I will get groceries to prep. Everyone have a great day, hugs to all of you I really like having all of you around!

Eda, I totally get it. I am easily bored with eating the same foods every day. That's why I have to allow 2 or 3 days to eat leftovers. You are exactly right in what you say about SP. That's why I've been able to stick with this plan for so long - it affords me lots of variety and leeway.
Thanks for going out of your way to get the info on the sports bras for us.

Oh dear ... don't quote me on the price! Yikes! And rats! If I had read this before I went grocery shopping today, I could have given you all of this info ... Tell ya what. I'll swing by after kettle bells in the morning and find out all the good stuff!
Thanks Kelly ... part of the struggle with the clean eating isn't just the "not processed" part ... it is with the monotony of the choices. After two weeks of failing, I already feel like I might be sick to my stomach if I see spinach or look at eggs. The whole premise of Spark People is to be able to eat a variety of foods that you like at a calorie count your body needs to lose weight. The restrictiveness of what I've started is an issue for my brain ... which becomes an issue for my body! I'm not giving up ... I'm just going to ease into it instead of blasting into it!

Too funny! Thanks, Sharon.
I am headed to walmart to check out the danskin bra. If you have time, do post the # to the bra. If my walmart doesn't have it, hopefully, they can get it.
Do have a GREAT day, Team. I am officially getting back to my exercise today - no excuses!
Love you all.

Hello Ladies,
Received this today from my college roommate. It’s an addendum to our continuing bra discussion, and my bra joke on Saturday. So here’s your Monday morning giggle . . .
Have you ever wondered why A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, G, and H are the letters used to define bra sizes?
If you have wondered why, but couldn't figure out what the letters stood for.... well... it is about time you became informed!
A - Almost Boobs...
B - Barely there...
C - Can't Complain!...
D - Dang!...
DD - Double dang!......
E - Enormous!...
F - Fake...
G - Get a Reduction...
H - Help me, I've fallen and I can't get up!...
They forgot the German bra: Holtzemfromfloppen
An underwire bra that's comfortable?! That's an oxymoron! Danskin, huh? Got a model number, Eda?
Love you gals!

Maybe it was my puter Sunny but your link looked like two things on the same page but I was able to get the jist of it...that is so cool. Thanks
Danskin for 14 bucks, I see a bunch of us headed to Walmart! I don't remember anything Danskin ever being that price. Eda just read your blog, you're missing something big time with that clean thing. You're not supposed to feel like that. Ofcourse don't really know much about that way, always thought it was less processed foods which so many of us do anyway. So don't beat yourself up, you gave it a try and are willing to tweek it but don't make yourself sick over it, especially with such a big day coming up!
Long day, going to get in my jammies and call it quits. If that danged cat decides to get up at 3 again she's going to be in big trouble!

Sorry ladies ... I'm always about 4 days behind on the discussions! I just went and looked at my sports bras (which I LOVE) and they are Danskin underwire sports bras for high impact exercise. I wear them to run in, I wear them for all of my classes that I take and I LOVE THEM! No bounce, no pain and no rubbing! I got them at my local Walmart for about $14 each if I remember right. I was skeptical cuz I don't wear underwire bras as a general rule but these are the best exercise bras I think I've ever used ... just my humble opinion!
Oh Sunny ... I can't wait to watch your link! She's inspired me already and I haven't even got more than a glimpse of her story! Here I go!

I almost forgot to post this link. It is a story about a 51 year old who went to basic training. The Army let her join as she once served in the Navy. Check it out. The recruits had a great name for her. I am totally impressed.

We don't have a Target near us but will look the next time I am in St. Louis, KC (next Saturday) or Wichita.
I will also look for the Moving Comfort.
Yes, we laughed at thoses jokes about our bodies changing but look who is having the last laugh now....hehehe
Take care and enjoy your day. I am headed back into town for a Wedding Shower.

Sunny the Target by us seems to be carrying a better selection of Champion. Moving Comfort had one that I wish I had gotten too (since it was on sale) that would work really well as an everyday holds 'em from floppin'. I'm laughing because way back when the jokes about how the body changes with time not realizing what our Moms were telling us...this too will happen to you would happen. Yea Mom, hear you laughing pointing that finger.
Awwwww, watching Animal Planet and they are doing something on puppies. Cat has moved on, who cares about the pups? But Dog is more interested in what's left over from dinner...yes I know that is the worse thing to do multitask through dinner. But you all entertain me more and the TV just happens to be on in the other room.
Everyone have a great Sunday, may God watch over our troops, keep them safe, Kelly

Also thanks for the funny, Sharon.
Hope everyone has a good day. I am going to do my best to get back to the treadmill and bike today.

Hear you Sunny about them discontinuing a popular model, then they complain sales are down…or they make the same one smaller. That happened to me, bought two at the same time didn't try the second one on only to have it be smaller. Store gave me a hard time returning it. Sharon you are just too funny, smiles and giggles this early is a great way to start the day. The one I replaced is a Champion, it just simply fell apart - then again it was so old couldn't tell you when I bought it. The one I ended up with was moving comfort, think that's the brand. What I like about it you can adjust the straps from the front. A racer back is on my list too. On a positive side, the girls may not look quite so perky however, they don't look so much like an old woman who forgot to put on her bra.
Well all ya'all, have a great day! Kelly

Hi Ladies,
Going to chime in on the sports bra shopping. I bought a couple of Champion Sports bras and I am very happy with them. They Give very good support and are comfortable to wear. The ones I bought have a racing back. They are about 15% spandex. Wear them every day, and they are holding up well - after washing, and during workouts.
Here's a laugh to start off your day:
A man walked into the ladies department of a Macy's, one of the largest department store chains. He shyly walked up to the woman behind the counter and said.' I'd like to buy a bra for my wife'
'What type of bra?' asked the clerk.
'Type?' inquires the man' There is more than one type?'
'Look Around,' said the saleslady, as she showed a sea of bras in every shape, size color and material.
'Actually, even with all of this variety, there are really only three types of bras,' replied the salesclerk.
Confused, the man asked what were the types.
The saleslady replied' The Catholic type, the, Salvation Army type, and the Baptist type. Which one do you need?'
Still confused the man asked' What is the difference between them?'
The lady responded' It is all really quite simple. The Catholic type supports the masses, the Salvation Army type lifts up the fallen, and the and the Baptist type makes mountains out of mole hills.

That makes perfectly good sense to me, Kelly.
Shopping for Sports Bras. I hate bra shopping period! A couple of years ago, I bought a great bra (finally after all these years) only to discover when I went back in a few months to buy another, they had been discontinued. The owner of the store said she didn't understand because it was a good seller. Oh well, now I am still on a search to find one that fits as good as that one did. If you do blog about this experience, let us know. That would be funny!
That is strange about the mouse. Hope you get it figured out.
About 2 months ago, we had Dish Network come out and upgrade our box to a DVR as Spring and Summer will soon be here and we will be outside gardening when we can. Wouldn't you know, the new box went out - no sound. We do have sound if we play a DVD so know it is not the TV. Yie, yie, yie - and I was looking forward to seeing Idol last night. We watched a movie instead and read the papers that had piled up while we were gone. The good news is that the technician will be here today. Yea!
Take care and do have a fabulous Friday. Sunny

Welcome home Sunny, funny how great it is to get back into your own bed and the same ol' same ol'...
Of course you will see more Hawks in Kansas, they really aren't welcome in Missouri - oh wait you're talking about birds. Sorry! How cool, 2 Bald Eagles. We have a Bald Eagle in one of the parks here that is becoming quite an attraction. Last January during one of the ice storms there was a Bald Eagle sitting in a lone tree on the the interstate the roads were icy so folks were going slow enough to enjoy seeing him watch us.
Can't figure out what is what with the mouse, it only happens posting on this site, perhaps it's telling me spending too much time visiting here?
Yesterday went sports bra shopping for the girls, that was more traumatic than bathing suit shopping. (Wish I could find the piece written by Erma Bombeck on this) To stand there in all your glory with batwings and all the other unsightly stuff that clothes kinda hide. Hard to believe it is Friday already, don't know where this week went. Everyone have a great start to your week-end, Kelly
